I wish time had been spent better describing two things: why a paid subscription for a screenshot tool is needed in the first place and why his tool was different / better than the existing tools.
bro exactly lol , I was trynna figure out for 15mn why som1 would pay money for a screenshot ! guess it's kinda harry potter moving newspaper screenshot type
got this answer from AI : Based on the context provided, someone might pay for a screenshot service for various reasons. They may need to keep records of website or application appearances for testing, debugging, or compliance purposes. Additionally, they might require automated screenshots for marketing materials or reporting, making it more convenient and efficient to outsource this task.
Because it helps developers write less code, which helps businesses save time and money. I know it might seem crazy that people would pay for something like this, but that is exactly why I created Starter Story - to show you the (often) ridiculously simple ideas that you wouldn't believe make $100K/year+ (and changed developers lives). This is the kind of stuff that gets built in www.starterstory.com/academy
It’s a service for developers. If a company wants to show screenshots of websites in their app, this tool makes it easy to automate by adding just a couple lines of code. I agree it could have been explained clearer in the video. Not everyone knows technical words like API.
I’ve worked with big pharma and we’ve built something similar a few years ago. They used this screenshots for two purposes: UAT and compliance. We screenshot thousands of pages across multiple websites.
huh why the hell is this dude paying 4k per month for servers ?? with only 250 customers. Its just generating screenshots and no crazy AI generations. His profit margins should be around 90%
Great video! It’s just a shame that I had to search for the product myself to understand what it’s about 😅 can you take the time to explain the product at the beginning like with use cases for example?
I guess the 4k in server expenses is cause Puppeteer eats a lot of resources, and he needs to open a lot of browser instances with puppeteer to take the screenshots
There's something I don't understand, Why did he use 4000$ for headless browsing using puppeteer???🤔🤔🤔 The tool and typescript are free, normally 😮 09:58
@@ScreenshotOne thanks for the reply. But any one with a computer will have the option to screenshot the webpage. Would like to understand a little more detail if its not too much to ask. Maybe I m still missing something about the product sir
@@paevents8064 It is just an automated version of that. Basically think about "the way back machine". That is a website that shows what websites used to look like in the past.
Editing is great, content is so so. Please work on your character tho. More personality is better. You're in LA? You need training ? Let me know. I'll come by.
I don't know if it's just me, but the async recording of the "interview" kinda throws me off, and it prevents you from digging deeper into the things about their stories that are actually interesting and different from others. I hope that you do real-time interviews with founders in the future, because they are much more authentic and informative for the viewers, not to mention fun to watch. All the best!
The $4000 for TypeScript is misleading. It‘s a free programming language. He probably pays this money for some hosting provider to run the headless browsers.
hey Pat, I have enjoyed watching these stories, but the last few stories with your new interview setup seems a bit disingenuous as it appears you are re-recording your questions to the interviewee. It feels a little disconnected.
I think many of us can relate with this guy, no glamour, simple guy, looks humble and definitely a hard work person. One of the best stories imo.
I love how realistic this story is. No glamorous dream selling. Just straight to the point.

What a cool dude, loved his message and wish him more success…cheers!
One of the best founders, if not the best founder you've featured on this channel. Not only is he knowledgeable but he also has the right knowledge.
Damn, your editing and storytelling is becoming better and better for each video. A huge inspiration. Good video!
Nice ... a genuine guest for once :p more like this!

Fantastic, down to earth story. Thanks!
But the interview's "nitch" pronunciation grates like fingers down a chalkboard ❤😅

Thank you!
Great questions!
can you cover some businesses which are not coding programming base and are physical or something like that which is not coding

These are costs related to servers.
Wooooohoooo its dymtro!!!
Thank you!
Screenshot? Is it just COMMAND+SHIFT+3or4?!
Same thought. Are we missing something
No, it is about an API for other applications and it is hosted on the web server.

wow those server costs...
Why are the server costs so high? Is it automatic scaling with aws?
Cool stuff. However looking at the camera when you speak is a must. I dont know but it was a little bir disturbing experience for me. What about you?
Thank you. I am sorry. It is just hard for me, I thought a lot while I was talking, I don't have the interview participation skills.

He said that correctly in the video. The editors probably didn't understand the technicalities. So they thought TypeScript costs him $4000 lol.
