Unfortunately Notion just yesterday added forms. I had this happen to me too. I build an add-on needed product to a platform. The platform added the feature. No regrets & it funded my digital nomadism for some years but hopefully your users find your app more useful or you find another successful pivot.

I took that Reddit post and repurposed it in a Reddit group for a software for which I created an extension. The interaction has been incredible! In just 12 hours, the introduction video doubled in views, and I'm actually receiving comments and engaging interactions from people.
doesn't matter, his saas is so different to the point people might be more keen to choose his app instead of a monster of an app like notion, thats what a saas is all about, taking a side l feature from huge apps and dumming it down to be the core of your app
there is so much money in forms software and plugins that i dont think it will affect his business tbh - there can be many winners - just look at wordpress plugins
