In this video of the series Slow Chinese Stories, designed for beginner students with a vocabulary around HSK 1/2, you can do listening practice through a short everyday story narrated by a native speaker in slow and clear Mandarin Chinese with the help of on-screen pinyin, Hanzi and contextual pictures, and the option of turning on/off subtitles in English or Spanish. It's amazing how well Mandarin Chinese is often taught - with graded readers, audio stores in the native script, English translations and even pinyin. Great work on creators of such channels, sites and books. It caters for various beginner to intermediate. I wish they did similar consistent work with other ppupular or major languages. They do but the quality and consistency is not always the same.
Yeah I agree, I learn both chinsese and korean and I must say I find way more nice materials for chinese than korean. Even dictionary app. I can't find one so well made like pleco for chinsese, all I tried for korean sucked and usually I think were made rather for koreans learning english
I haven't found (free) graded readers anywhere.

this video so great . i can learn a lot of vocabulary, grammar and practice pronunciation.
I love learning mandarin at school and through books but I can only get listening practice at school for a small amount of time each week so I really appreciate this channel, which I only found recently. There are more channels about learning mandarin but I especially love this one for two reasons:
1. the videos are very short so it's easy to watch them whenever I have some free time. I can see myself using them to practise daily without feeling like it's a chore and without feeling like it's impeding on my other studies or work.
2. this is personal but I think I learn better by seeing an example. I can study vocabulary and grammar and understand them in theory, but nothing is better than reading a text or listening to someone talk to understand how you can use them. It's also very easy to practice speaking by pausing the video after a sentence and repeating it while trying to match the speaker's pronunciation and tone as much as I can.

So 'de' is like a possesive thing?
Yes, it is. Among other functions, the particle 的 is used to express possession with the structure "Noun1 + 的 + Noun2" (similar to English "Noun1's Noun2").
