I'm really glad I found this. I've been prioritizing things really badly when it comes to studying, and so my writing and reading is really good, and my speaking is alright, but my listening at the moment is really bad. But this is a really good starting point, and it's good to be able to rewind and listen to a sentence again.

I'm really happy about these little stories for newcomers. After 5 weeks of learning, I reached the old HSK 1 and understand almost everything with the help of the pictures and gestures, which is fun. Now I'm looking forward to the time when I've reached hsk 3 and the stories will become more varied and exciting.
Thank you and greetings from Germany

I just started my Mandarin learning journey a couple days ago. I only know a few words and very basic grammar. I was not able to understand much, but I was able to pick out words I did know, and even recognized a new word 茶 which is great because I love tea too. Watching other things made me intimidated, but this let me know I'm on the right track. Thank you so much for these videos!

Loved this. It's simple enough that a beginner can understand everything, but not too easy that we stop paying attention. I also loved that the English isn't imprinted in the video like the 汉字 and 拼音, so we don't get caught just reading the English. Looking forward to watching all of these.

More and more I was told to do learning through stories. I'm a little poor right now and am struggling to commit to one platform and pay the money. Combining this video with Language Reactor was really helpful. I went over each sentence several times (well for the first minute) and was able to go back and understand 95% of it on the first day. I can probably say 15-25 sentences after 3-4 weeks of study, but my listening is terrible. This will help a lot. It is nice to see whether or not it is effective before I choose a platform with stories.
