I work with a huge US telco company (can't say which due to legal reasons), and I was genuinely surprised when I found out that the A54 had launched just today. I read through the specs and honestly I was impressed. We have come a looooong way since the Samsung Galaxy A series was called the Galaxy _J_ series. It's amazing to see what was considered high end specs from a few years ago becoming much more accessible for people with a budget. This is why I love Android. Also, thing of note is apparently this is the first ever Samsung phone with primary eSIM activation, at least for the carrier I work for. A little odd that a mid-ranger would launch with that kind of feature first but I guess Samsung's testing out the waters for this one.
Same had the a52 since its release 2021 and it's 2023 my still run great the battery still last me not burn out drain or nothing still run fast 128gb and 2 years I'm barely 40gb full.
As both an Android and apple user. I actually used to don't like android's until I got a Samsung flagship myself. It's pretty good! 💯 I don't get how people hate on these phones 😭

I watched this on my a54. I got it in awesome violet as well! It's a great budget phone for the next 2 years, tbh. Your games will be in Game Launcer, unless you turn on power save and/or turn on the cpu limiter (i'm pretty sure you need to have dev mode on to limit the cpu. Could be wrong on that and sorry in advance!) which is quite nice and your home sceeen will look less cluttered, making the homescreen a bit cleaner.
I currently own an A52s 5G that I bought in 2022 brand new a day before the A53's release which made it cheaper for me to purchase, and to be honest it's been perfect and I've had no issues/glitches as of yet and the 120hz refresh rate works perfectly. It's also plenty powerful to keep up with modern games, it's also been argued that the A52 series is superior to the A53 series. So yeah it's really served me well.
I own an A52s 5G as well, and believe me that Snapdragon 778G 5G in the A52s has given the Exynos 1280 and 1380 in the A53 and A54 a run for their money... The phone is buttery smooth even on Android 13. ❤
I remember having the A50 some 5 years ago. It was hard to keep up because the later models came within 7 to 12 months. I switched to Xiaomi and back to Samsung this year.. Now with S series and never happier
i kinda love the A series Samsungs bc they're more often than not only a generation or two behind and for most people that'll do like 97% of what you actually need

Considering the Galaxy S10 is still a pretty killer phone today in its own regard, it's exciting to see a company that finally is making a phone that is both budget and just as powerful and useful as last year's flagships
They have improved the A Series a lot. Despite all the improvements I think an s10 with a new battery and custom rom would probably be better just because of the chip.
As others said it wouldn't make for an entertaining comparison, until you check the prices on both. IMO, A54 puts up a fight for it's value, when put up with the s23, although not in general as I've seen better value even if a little lower end specs.
Jusr got one the other day...I was heartbroken a few months ago when my A52 went out on me 😔1 That was 1 of my favorite phones I've ever had. Then I had the red silicone case...But I hit the jackpot. I bought the A52 from At&t the 1st time for $500, but I got the A54 5g for $140 from straight talk...In still checking it out but overall a person like me doesn't need much...I can definitely feel the premium upgrade. When my A52 stopped I temporarily went back to my A20 & at 1st I was upset, but I realized it's not really a big deal for me. I don't take pictures like that. I have a gamesir pro x2, not really b/c I need it. I just like technology, so I'll use it just b/c, but I have a series x & a PS5 so I play all my games there. I Literally listen to youtube all day & night. No matter what I'm doing, I have it playing in the background even it I'm not looking at the screen, I still have something playing, so any phone that can do that for me in a reasonable amount of time, then im good
