I'd like to make a nomination for the World's Greatest Dad. Yup, your Father definitely gets the award. Most men would be so worried about their daughter they would want to shelter them from any challenge or adventure. That your Dad willing and obviously, lovingly gives of his time, energy and knowledge to make your adventure happen, is really a world class demonstration of the best of a father's love. In my 73rd year and never having had a child, I confess I'm more than a little envious. Laura, tell him you love him every chance you get!

Good afternoon Laura! I liked the video. I liked the assistant cat, they always love to help and the cat is beautiful! I'm waiting for the weather to be cold and rainy here now. I have a Harley Davidson Super Lov, produced in 20011. I did a little customization, changed parts of the steering wheel and mufflers, another headlight, installed a light, it became much better. Have a good trip and good mood!!!🐱🐱🐱🌹🌹🌹🌍🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩

Nothing like a good old fashioned road map to memorize the routes and actually KNOW where you are! I NEVER trusted my gps for good reason! Smart move Laura.

I did Mn to florida and back on a sporty and it was awful because the rear suspension is so hard going over bridges eventually destroyed my back and I'm in good shape. Now I'm just traveling around Colombia on a Scram 411.. enjoy your trip.

That's a nice bike! The sporty stock suspension is brutal...

Keep a light coat of wd40 on the trailer hitch, ball hitch & pin to keep it from rusting. I'm sure you know that now though 😅. Also put a very light coat of grease on the ball before you connect the trailer. I like the video prep

LOL a little WD-40 goes along way on rusted stuff lol a tip on the trailer loading and unloading, if you can stand up and do that it'll give you more ground clearance, don't ask me how i know LOL

Can you make a separate platlist for your trip? It's easier to watch in order that way instead of clucking backward through the full videos list. Your motorcycle platlist only has 3 or 4 of the videos in it.

Hey Laura...Are you going to transport your bike to USA on your trailer and then ride through the states you want to explore.
I like the picture on the wall behind you (0:42) It looks like a Robert Bateman.
    Looking forward to Part 4.

IM late to the party on your trip/videos...so backing up. I wish I would have seen this when you put the content out. We would have pointed you to Highway 7 south in AR. Great curvy riding in the hills along the buffalo National River. Fun stops in Eureka Springs, and a few other locations. We lived in Harrision AR for 8 years. I just (last night) watched your video of the Lincoln national Forest area. We now travel that area a lot on our bike. Hope you hit White Sands. It crazy to be riding the highway, and then enter tha park and EVERYTHING turns to sand and a different"Feel". I commented in your other video about the Ruidoso/Cloudcroft areas which is our fav riding area within 5 hours of us now (in West Texas). What seat do you have on your sportster that is comfortable for you on these trips?

I’ve taken a screenshot of your comment and saved it in my motorcycle bucket list album! I may not have been able to visit your suggested places this trip, but your comment has just given me yet another reason to return, so thank you!! I really appreciate it.
I’ve tried a few different seats but currently I have the HD ribbed solo seat on my bike. It’s so-so, but I wouldn’t necessary write home about it 🥴

@@solo.roader Your very welcome. I know you like the solitude of riding, but if you ever wanted company, the wife and I could coordinate to meet ya out there on a weekend and ride the area with you. If you prefer the solo trips we totally get that too. Here are a few other stops in that part of New Mexico worth a ride/stop: In the town of Lincoln, there are buildings and a museum with lots of great info about Billy the Kid and his Jailbreak. You can tour the jail and retrace his steps, and read how he made his escape. North of Carrizozo there is a small Ghost town called White Oaks. There is a small bar and grill there if you can catch it open. They sometimes have bands playing outside, and they do BBQ's sometimes as well. There is a nice ride when leaving cloudcroft, you can head to a place called Sunspot. The Sunspot Astronomy & Visitors Center is open daily, 9 AM to 5 PM. The Dunn Solar Telescope observation room is only open on select days if that interests you. Even if you aren't into astronomy, the ride is worth it. If you aren't afraid of heights, drop offs and switchbacks, there is road in Ruidoso called Ski Run Road which will take you up in elevation up to the Ski Apache Ski slope. Incredible views as you wind you way up the mountain. Another nice ride starts in Capitan. From there, you can take highway 246 and it runs over to Roswell. The first part of it is hills and then it drops down into the high desert basin. From your trip to this area of NM last time you probably already know this....but each of the areas I am mentioning are full of wildlife. Lots of deer and Elk will be present. There is also open grazing allowed in some places, so the cows can be out roaming wherever..including in the roads. Take care and enjoy your travels.

You're welcome, of course. I've been to Palo Duro Canyon, and there's some nice places to hike there. Austin is known for hiking trails, too If you're heading down around there, around the second weekend of April, you should check out the Handbuilt Motorcycle Show. A buddy or some buddies and I are going on that Sunday.
