What a great rig! Really well resolved product for the intended purpose. Quite glad you reviewed this. Would easily take an NMax instead of the car or my Speed Triple for running around town.
I am seriously looking at this one or as you mentioned the PCX,i am 73 and looking at retaking the cbt very soon or when the weather finally warms up, but most of all I am hoping to be able to go out on the scooter and do say 200-mile round trip, is that something this scooter is capable of, without me getting all concerned about overheating, etc,.I certainly will not be tearing around like a lunatic,.but it would be good to have a run out now and then, Rather than just use it to pop to the shops,
The nmax has got a blue core engine which is 40% cooler than conventional engine due to a diasil cylinder . They sell a lot in thailand , philipines , indonesia etc ...
200 mile trip might be stretching it a bit, I'm of a similar age group and I have a Honda pcx 2019, my friend has a Forza 125. We often do 120 mile trips with ease, avoiding uk motorways though
@@peterryan7827 Hi, just wanted to add that the pcx will happily sit at 55 all day long, drops of on hills of course, mine will hit 65 easily when required for dual carriageways etc, but we usually stick to A and B roads and enjoy the countryside at 45-50. I'm actually on my second pcx did try an N Max but stll found I preferred the pcx. Been riding bikes for 60 years and the little scoot had given me a new lease of life. Hope one will for you

They're popular in the UK not because of fuel consumption it's because of deliveroo, ubereats, just eat, Stuart riders prefers it for its comfort and power compared to other scooters around....
At 6´1" this has lots of room to move around and you can really stretch your legs out. It´s crazy for the overall size of this thing. My Xmax 300 feels less spacious even though it is a MUCH bigger bike. The pillion sits like a king but as the rider you feel like a tortured donkey after 90 mins. Test rode the Nmax 155 and it was quick enough but lacked overtaking ability. I they made an Nmax 300 I´d buy it in a heartbeat.
Yes the Honda PCX is cheaper but only with a rear brake drum and a retro streering wheel '80s style. Much prettier is the Yamaha steering wheel. I would go for a Yamaha XMax Tech Max.
Don't waste your time on sym jetx. The alarm is annoying. The eml light has a glitch. The service intervals are 300 miles for 1st service. 911 miles for 2nd service. Oh and the parts are hard to come by. Be waiting almost a month or maybe longer for parts to arrive.

@Horned26 Ma uzmi odmah xmaxa. Veći je motor puno udobniji a za grad je fenomenalan. Vjeruj mi kad kupiš nmaxa za godinu dana češ ga prodati i kupiti xmax. Ovo je premalo brate ali kako hočeš

I do have a honda pcx 2017 and I can't believe they still got drum brakes on the rear, and the front brake over heat very easy making the bike impossible to stop . I'm sure will consider buying one of this new yamaha n max . Pcx now is a loser for sure compared to the n max . Great video thanks 😊
Depends on what you like. I have both. The pcx is better for storage and cheaper to maintain. The nmax gas better brakes and suspension. But can be expensive for maintenance
Does anyone know what type of aftermarket exhaust would fit on this? I noticed mine has an oxygen sensor on the exhaust and wasn't sure what exhaust would fit
For that price you could get a Honda Sh 125. Technicaly more advanced. 16 inch wheels. Tone of storage. Comes with top box as standard. Nmax on that price just is not good enough . Yamaha copied the tech such us start stop, traction controls, smart key from Honda (who is doing it for the past three years already). TBH shouldn't be more expensive than the PCX. On that price I bought the new SH, makes more sence.
@@xdx2653 matter of taste. Nmax looks like a kid's toy next to honda Sh. The Sh is way better quality. I tested both before I purchased the SH. Nmax is a pair with the PCX not the SH.

Nmax has bigger Ubox (under the seat) than Sh. Yamaha has Start Stop, Smartkey and TCS long time ago. They enclosed in the Asia market. Now it's come to Europe. Not copy at all.

I just got this bike it will be with me next week ,I'm going from a 50 cc honda vision 2017 that has top speed of I think 28 miles per hour but it's ment to be 30 and I get cars behind me getting impatient on 30mph roads and on 40 mph roads even more so just wanted something a little faster
@@matthewwoodward3896 I am considering a scooter, I've always ridden motorbikes but fancy a change, I also like the idea of not having to tighten and oil a chain, the only problem I have is choosing which scooter to buy there are so many good scooters about these days, I like both the nmax and pcx 125 but I also like the Honda SH 300 for that bit of extra power, everytime I think that I have made my mind up I see another TH-cam video and change my mind again.
FYI; I've got exactly the same scooter but it's 155 cc. in South east Asia. I wasn't aware that they've made it 125cc in England. I bought it brand new from a Yamaha dealer for much less money than it's sold in England ( Surprise, surprise ) The suspensions are crap, they bottom out and way too bouncy both front and rear, if you get a pothole or any kind of uneven surface it easily destabilizes it due to this, I've replaced the rear shocks of my scooter and reconditioned the front forks. Also, it's quite heavy due to the rear caliper, which I found totally unnecessary since it's not that fast, I can only imagine your 125 cc version of it must be even slower and lacking of power especially if it's ridden with a pillion. As for the front brake, since it's only got one little round disk it over heats and if you ever need to brake forcefully the stirring will turn on you and next thing you know, you're on the floor ! My 155cc. is now fun to ride reaching 70mph on the straight depending on the wind direction. I would never buy a 125cc. version of it in England full stop ! Ignore what this big headed knob has to say about it, save your peanuts !
I agree but it’s amazing in traffic, do u think I should put inverted front forks, I can’t do highway turns 90km as it’s too bouncy, i changed rear forks, power is fine beats most scooters to 60km
@@ilovetorah Replace the rear suspension and change the oil in the front forks with a thicker oil but also lower it a little since it shakes as soon as you go over 100kph depending on the wind.
Aprilia sr gt 125 same engine as medley looks much better i think, but medley looks quality as well. Wot mpg do u get out the Medley? Just thinking about buying the Aprilia so shud be the same a think, also wot top speed u had?
@@beankop1 Not sure exactly what mpg I get but it's 20% better I'd say than my previous honda, Italian green engine technology (iget) probably helps there I guess and the stop start idling mode also assist there like most modern bikes,. A+rating..I would say. I reached 68 top speed, in my mind it was 110 and felt it, but the Aprilia will be faster all round and is very nice just down on boot size and has no abs like the medley does..✌️, hard choice.
dude at europe its different.people here dont need 150 cc.and that coz here people are more richer than the asians people.so the 150 cc here is pointless.people buying 125cc for a small bike,after those cc the chaos coming :P
@@nikosnikos9637 that's not the reason. The reason is in Europe for bigger than 125 you need a different license so it would be pointless to step up 30cc
I do long distance rides on my Nmax 155. It's a great bike.

These are 155 in Thailand. The Aerox 155 has the same engine and is sportier. I use one daily. Great scooter.

@Lassi Kinnunen 81 125cc is for a1 licence (cbt) you can only have a 125 until you pass your test then you can ride what ever cc you like.

In my country, Indonesia nmax was have displacement 155cc for stock factory. Almost half of the population bore up close to 190cc

I prefer the Honda PCX because this just looks too straight and not as fun. I've had a Honda PCX 2015 and planning to get newer one next year.

Yamaha as been doing stop start on the aerox model for a few years now.
The starter/generator system is nothing new. Suzuki's GT185 had it way back in 1973.
Yes nothing new, Invacar were using that system from 1948.
