I have a PCX while my brother-in-law has an Nmax. They are both good bikes. Nmax is a winner because of it's dual disc brakes with ABS and 4 valves which makes it faster. But I chose PCX because of the fuel consumption, riding comfort, and the exclusivity on the streets. Not to mention the built in alarm system installed which makes you confident when it comes to safety and security. Just a suggested emendation though, First of all, fuel consumption of Nmax is nowhere near 43km/l. While the PCX can do 45km/l to 60km/l depending on your riding habits. Thanks to the 2 valves of the PCX. Second, you can fit a whole face helmet on the PCX as well. Same with Nmax it will still depends on the size of the shell and the brand. Third, the chromed handlebar gives the PCX the classic look. Wires though are not messy as they are properly coated. Still looks premium. Fourth, and this is subjective but the 4 valves is no use for me if i'm not riding on an expressway. I would rather choose a fuel economy bike that I can use on the busy streets of Metro Manila and will still perform well in long rides. It's not all about the speed or power but the durability and comfort are my two main concerns. Plus it's a Honda. Great review by the way. Of all the reviews I've watched, this is fair and well balance. Thank you.
Perry Dato My bike also a PCX. The reason why I choose this bike is the Unique Style, Comfort, and most af all Fuel Efficiency. HONDA # 1 To the vlogger great review & job well done👋👋👋
thanks for this i am really torn between nmax, aerox, adv and pcx but I really like pcx style as u said its not all the power and speed but the durability and comfort...
Very informative with your knowledge of Nmax & PCX Can you please share, in your opinions : 1) speedwise, who has the faster pickup / acceleration and what's their top speed 2) In the long run, which one is more reliable? Which one has the lower maintenance costs? Thanks
Now i think the classy handle bar have 1 advantage, you can add lot of add-on gadgets on it like phone holder, dashcam display, tyre sensor, cup holder (for your coffee) etc. you can even add 4 speakers if u want, and it is easier to install.
You should always switch that Automatic Start/Stop system. All it does is wear out your starter motor and battery much faster which will neglect any tiny increase in fuel economy. Its also hard on an engine to keep cranking it over multiple times per day. Good review!
dual abs lang po lamang ng nmax, but the important factors to consider are comfort and fuel efficiency. For underseat compartment we can handle it through installing topbox. While drive and safety we can also handle it through driving moderately to avoid accidents or shortage of space on the road. So for me I'll go for PCX160
Shempre sobrang agree.. dream scoot ko yang pcx mula pa dati.. pinagiipunan ko.. sobrang mahalaga kasi sakin ang comfot, technology, safety at elegance.. 👌 at shempre.. rare sa daan.. sobrang pogi.
Same here though magadan tlga nmax with its power and braking capabilities. D q lng feel yung ang dami qng kaparehas sa daan hahaha. And since mahaba byahe nmin araw araw mas trip q ung comfort rather than speed

I have seen so many reviews on nmax vs pcx, this is really the best and very comprehensive, thank you.. I rode a nmax for years, the fuel consumption is practically 33 to 35km/l, nowhere near 43 to 45km/l
For 2021 the PCX gets a bigger 157cc 4 valve engine. But still a drum brake in the rear. I love the styling and the handling too so I'll probably buy the PCX.
I own a PCX and like it very much. I would also buy an nmax. It comes down to performance vs comfort and fuel economy. I love getting 102mpg on the PCX. The nmax would be faster on the highway but the PCX will be more comfortable on a long trip. If I want a touring machine I would find something with more displacement.
the nmax is way more comfortable than pcx stop with that propaganda lol/did you tried both???stop reading those bullshits at the asian sites coz asians average height is 165cm and at europe 182cm.so for them pcx is comfort yes ....but what if you are 185cm+ ???please go check both and deside which one is for you without having the bs from internet at your head 🤣
Hi Blade, I'm from Oz too. But on the current Honda website is still states the PCX has a rear drum on its spec sheet. This is possibly the clincher either way in which I go NMax vs PCX. Can you confirm PCX definitely comes with rear disc now? I haven't been into a dealer yet to see in person. Thanks
I will still go with the Nmax why, The Nmax won the most important factors in scooter the brake system and storage space. And I had used Yamaha scooters not so troublesome.
Un conclusion was inclined towards the reviewer’s bias/preferences. May ups and downs itong 2 to. Kaya ang the best pa din is alamin ung specs ng 2 motor, at lahat ng aspects nila. Then ask mo sarili mo kung anong features ang kailangan at bet mo!
@@TheStefanAbad not yet, but as i see some reviews of 2021 standard model eh same lng sila ng 2020 model except the engine. 2020 is 150cc 2021 is 160cc.
i was a yamaha tech for about 5 years,i dont know if they have changed the engine since i left yamaha, but Nmax had variable valve timing the only bad thing was that because of that and some other little things they tend to burn a little oil,and since they only take about 0.8L inside the engine, you NEED to change the oil at 3000 kilometers,or at least top it off a bit, because if you go the 6000 kilometers that yamaha says in the manual, you will reach the dealership with your scooter on the back of a tow truck with a stuck piston

As a passenger on both, the PCX rear was comfy for the half hour motobike taxi ride I had. The NMAX's rear was too harsh and made me split my legs way too much both adding to discomfort even after just 5km.
Too bad you didn't cover maintenance costs. I've been told the Honda's valve adjustment is expensive, partly because of the time to remove many pieces to get to the valvetrain.
Last yr I’ve owned both,in my experience Nmax is little bit more than pcx because of the breaks system and the engine ability, for rainy days I prefer Nmx for its abs system,i fell down once on pcx due to its suspension or something
The NMAX is more agile and feels way lighter on the road, but feels cheaper and plastic compared to the PCX. The PCX feels very sturdy and solid on the road, a big winner for me is that the Honda depreciates less than the Yamaha and the Honda engines are far more refined. The NMAX after a few km's feels like an older bike and looks dated now compared to the PCX which is far more sleeker. They're both good bikes it all depends if you want to feel more quality or agility.
the nmax at the road cant compares with the pcx.the second one feels very heavy and it turns hard.the yamaha have better engine with smooth accelaration meanwhile the pcx engine is very noisy and have some very weird ringing sounds.i agree with the quality at plastics the pcx is better building but on the road i hate that overated pcx
For the fuel! On Yamaha, if the screen display 43km/l then the actual maybe 41 or 45km/l, with in that range. For Honda, it is NOT correct with the screen, the number on honda is fake. If the screen of honda show 45 it mean actual result is 35 or 40. If the screen display 60 mean actual result is 45-50. There is the fact that now Yamaha eat less fuel than honda (real number). Do it manually dont see the number on the screen :D
Almost all the reviewers both on hand and weekly to monthly reviews says that the pcx are always better for fuel consumption. That's the issues back in the day so don't expect the same quality right now especially for this tight market for scooters. It would have already been a big draw back if your saying is real.
