Today we put in the Lokar Hot Rod shifter and put Earl back together, well maybe... Apparently, projects are never done. Join this channel to get access to perks: / @veteranrevivals
I've read a few of the comments for that shifter. Really hope it works. Looks awesome! You can cover that hole with some thing you pull off of the chem lab.
My 82 c10 was 5speed swapped at one time. I had it 5.3 4l60e swapped last year and went back to auto on the column. They used the lokar shift linkage and myself I am not happy with it. When you pull it down to 1st and try to get in it. Its solid mounted so when the engine flexes it shifts outta gear I want it it. I've considered this same shifter that you got but I think a gated shifter with cable shifted linkage will work better for me. If you went column shift on that ford you wouldnt be happy with that linkage.
@@VeteranRevivals yours should be fine. Your linkage isn't attached to the column like mine is. Where mine was 5speed at one time I've gotta fix the hole in the floor and then get a TCI shifter and cable linkage. But there's a stand that the shifter sits on I've gotta figure it out this winter. Shes parked till the salt is washed away this spring. Gonna try get it all sanded and Primered too.
Have a lokar floor shifter and I had my brother who has a Bridgeport mill notch out a gate for drive or 3rd. Should be there from lokar but they don't think its important not to just knock a shifter up from drive to neutral or reverse without having to hit the gate release button on the knob. If i had ando over definitely would skip the cool factor and get a decent cable operated floor shifter like a B&M or other
For the squeeters buy some horse citronella spray or regular horse fly spray and just spray your self every 30 mins and they will leave you alone lmao hate those cukers
Looking good Art; Ohh but you got me, with that shifter, I never seen one like that before.. Couple more like today and Earl'l be ready to travel..
Haha, yes! Soon!
Beautiful truck! I might just pick one up next Tuesday
Hell yeah, I love this truck. Solid and comfortable

But the lokar Shifters are pretty sweet.
Good info? Hopefully it won't be a factor, that would be a sad day haha

Yeah, I could see where that is going to be annoying

Oh my God, it's the worst. They go straight for my ankles haha. I'll have to steal some fly spray from the barn, thanks for the tip! 🤙🤙
What is the name of the instrumental at the end?
The outro? "Reel Life Western" I Believe.
