    Alien gear chest rig holster, I use mine while riding my Harley and my dirt bike. Sits right in the center of your chest.

      Not a bad choice. I use something similar for bicycling. I run a kydex shoulder rig for my motorcycle, though.

    I had not thought about shooting with my motorcycle gloves. I guess I had thought that the most likely scenario was at a gas station, where I would probably have my gloves off, but I need to think about it.

    Great video. I’m a concealed carrier and I often wondered about this. Thx for covering this. I’ll definitely practice with my riding gear.

    Let my concealed carry expire this month and need to take the course again. Signed up and was refreshing. Found you on a bike on the other channel. Came over here and just subbed because I do enjoy both hobbies and life style. Looking forward to exploring your videos. I also smoke a pipe. So I came up with Blake's Pipes! Hope to make a channel this year.

    P365 + Vedder Holsters Pocket Locker is the best CCW combo i've found so far.

    I ride an Indian Springfield and started with appendix IWB and haven't changed since. It is just the most comfortable to me. I ended up going with TABs and medium and Zombie baffles. I'm sure the Rinehart's are great as well.

  • @WillieJohnRidesAgain
    @WillieJohnRidesAgain ปีที่แล้ว

    I keep the P365 in a Vedder kydex holster in the tank bag. Best I could do. Can't work the clutch, brake(s) and gun at one time anyways. I go off road a good bit and don't want to fall on it either. But I like the shoulder holster idea on highways!

    You living in the south with high Temps I found a jacket ebay, Cuber motorcycle jacket.they have nice looking black and white jackets that are worth the little extra protection rather then just a t shirt.

    Open carrying with my backseat works out great. I can pilot the bike and she can do what needs to be done. She’s a great shot. But I always pray when I put mine on I don’t have to use it and for the strength to be accurate and true if I do

    Started thinking about if I went down with my gun on my body... how much damage is that gun going to cause my chest or hip...

    • @noaheads410
      @noaheads410 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Drop leg holster or shoulder holster would be the least damaging options in my opinion

    • @daxisperry7644
      @daxisperry7644 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That’s why I don’t carry on the lower back (6 o clock). But I would think if I dumped the bike hard enough that the gun on my hip would do damage, I think the crash is already gonna do 99% of the damage.

  • @dukegnarley

    My issue is where to conceal. I ride ADV. bikes and generally carry for bear and other predator protection. I'm usually wearing armor under a jersey, with a camel back over that. I also want to carry in a place where I don't injure myself by landing on the gun in case of an off. We are in and out of towns and restaurants, so open carry isn't ideal. All of my luggage is soft and unlockable, so leaving it on the bike isn't a great option either.

    • @starlordnetzero9633
      @starlordnetzero9633 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I also ride and ADV and have been carrying appendix - it's OK for the HK P7 or P365 but I want to carry my Glock 19 Gen 5. I live in a Const Carry state and am thinking about going to a drop holster thigh (not hip) but worried if the bike goes down (not uncommon on an ADV off road) I don't want the gun to be a blunt instrument and break my hip or leg. It's a tough problem with no clear good answer. Maybe a shoulder rig would be best

    All my carry/edc are all left handed..I’m right dominant and I just carry appendix or 8-9 o’clock..I shoot left and right..and you should be able to shoot both..IMO

    I cut a slit inside the second knuckle of my glove, so I can pop my finger in and out of the glove when needed. Works great with phones, firearms, nuts and bolts, whatever

      Do you feel it will increase the likelihood of the glove failing in a crash?

  • @drewcornell9341
    @drewcornell9341 ปีที่แล้ว

    Many things to consider. I have what I call police gloves. They are kevlar lined and not overly thick. Great protection for your hands against road rash. I think they were called friskars. Larger pistol, like a Glock model 17, 21, 26 or 30, have a larger opening in trigger guard. Helmet suggestion from me is a clear shield with an inner flip down tinted shield. I have an HJC helmet that is modular so front can be flipped up or just flip up shield. My state is concealed carry only so jackets, vests and such are good to conceal. Retention holsters are best. I don't have hard bags, or any lockable bags for that matter. And some places we go are a no go for weapons. So, unfortunately, gun would get left home as I don't want to go to jail. Locking bags will be a future purchase. Any other brand suggestions besides Viking or factory Harley bags? Viking bags get a bad rep for lock breaking and no customer support and Harley is expensive as hell. I never seem to have the luck of finding used to fit my bike. Sorry for such a long post. Hope some of my tips helped.

    If you are right handed, carry left, right hand is on the gas. Always flee if you can, if not, shot off hand. Practice off hand.

    Take the gloves off … takes 2 seconds. If you are in a quick draw situation, you won’t be able to accurately shoot with the gloves anyways.
