HI Ervin, Thanks for the visit. Was hoping for blue sky's all day but it happens. Great volcano to visit with easy hiking.

Mount Aso used to be a popular spot for Korean package travelers,
but I don't know about present situation after COVID-19.
Still, I presume it is, because I can see multi-language sign with Korean translation at the bottom 4:34, and
hear public announcement in Korea from 4:38.😀
The landscape appears vast yet desolate. I prefer the scenery since 24:40, especially Silver grass.

Hi Traveler World, for several years I have watched video of these areas being crowded with tourists so I can imagine it is a popular destination. Before leaving I drove back up to the crater observatory parking lot and there was some medium size buses with groups of very vocal Chinese tourists. Overall I will enjoy one day returning to Aso. I think maybe next time I try in April-May timeframe. It’s was clear and blue when I started, then weather changed, then was clear and blue again. The size of the outer caldera rim is mind blowing to me. Easy hike overall with only one rocky uphill section. Everything else is volcanic pebble, gravel.
