unless these bricks were put in circa 1700 A.D., it's aways going to be "ordinary" more commonly known as portland based fly ash. If you are a priest or parish restoring a church I would suggest having a mason look at it first padre. I'm 3rd generation mason, and 99% sure this was a 1970ish fireplace so that would be portland fly ash based. Hope that help's & God bless.

What color Classico did you use?
