That 2004-2006 Pistons teams were my favorite NBA teams of all time, and hearing stories about them today, only makes me appreciate them more, as a fan.
2004 Detroit Pistons was the best defensive team that ever won a championship , the pistons was we're so in synced defensivly they held every team to 70 and under in the eastern conference that was still competitive
Aaaawwww, thats awesome to know they still hung out as a 'family' in the off-season. I bet they had great stories to tell and stories to catch up on in the off season about the previous season!
“The curse of more” as the TNT crew likes to say. Had the Pistons kept Big Ben, who knows what might’ve happened? I’m speaking about both the Pistons and Ben Wallace. He just wasn’t the same away from his role on that particular team and Larry Brown’s coaching, and it was the beginning of the end for that group in Detroit. Which is sad. One of the few true “teams” to win a ring (2011 Mavericks also come to mind).
If Brown were still there, no way Big Ben leaves. He had issues with Flip Saunders (moving away from their D-first philosophy and Saunders not involving Ben in the offense like Brown did), and went to Chicago where, ironically, he had even more issues with Skiles.
The 2003-2006 Deeeeeetroooiit Baaaaasssketbaaaal, 2004 champion Pistons were your everyday guys favorite team. Each player had profile that every 20,000 blue collar guys in the city identified with. When they won the championship, including the Tayshaun Prince block heard round the world on Reggie Miller, had us all geeked and super hyped. The city really mirrored those 5 guys, the energy wouldn't have translated with a "super team" or super star favor. It only could have been that specifically selected team. 💯 🏆 2004.
Those crowds at the palace during the going to work pistons Era was second to none. Great atmosphere for big games back then 🍻
Those were the days.
Yessir. Some of the best times of my life. Hard hats everywhere. Energy was crazy 🏆🏆🏆💯

Same bro Made me appreciate defense.
They beat shaq and kobe's lakers
They were a defensive nightmare. If you scored 90 points against them, you were an elite team
Naw the Pistons that whole decade was lit! They only had only 2 seasons below 500 that whole decade (1 at the beginning and 1 at the end).
I was 17 in 04 and that was some of the best times of my life!

Sheed w Blazers and add Good players equals 🏆🏀🔥
Just think if Sheed and Webb stayed in Washington together vs Juwan
And Ben Wallace. Man the bullets had the core players of Detroit championship.
Once Flip took over, they went soft and Ben left.

sheed's smile is priceless
The sheriff Rasheed
People used to asked me why I liked Rasheed so much when he was playing, because he was a killa and been robbed many times.
Weber was on that pistons team lol
@erickiyoshiphilips2323 What’s so funny? C-Webb was briefly on the Pistons close to the end of his career.
Y Detroit ain’t pay Ben
That piston team is the only team I give lebron credit for beating by himself..
Big Ben was gone
