Great video. Love all the social media tips. From the vendor POVs I've seen, 80% is for trade value and 70% is for cash. Of course, percentages can be adjusted depending on supply and demand.
Awesome video brother - I had to buy my nephew some boosters for his birthday and thought “why not buy some for myself” I got 10 random boosters and pulled a Roaring Moon 251/182, 2 Gouging Fire 204/162, Superior Energy Retrieval 277/193 and finally a Raichu 211/193. I managed to sell all 5 of those cards in just 2 days and made just over $300 (AUD$). I know my luck pulling those cards is extremely lucky however my god what a good little bank booster it’s been!
Great video & great tips. I’ve been wanting to get into re-selling in the UK for a while.(probably Japanese) would you say slabs are a good place to start? Or sealed product? Ps love the excel spreadsheet very useful
@@MNMLCards thank you my mate! Great of you to reply. Thats what my thoughts were too. Just need that little bit of success and see some results to get some confidence I reckon. Thanks again - great channel
I started buying some pokemon elite trainer boxes at target and walmart to sell them on ebay or whatnot, is it a good way to trade or is there another better way to do it?
If you can get them at a discounted MSRP you will be fine to sell them on those platforms. I would recommend buying singles/slabs to start. Yes, sealed is a great investment and probably the safest. However in terms of flipping and learning the business I would do specific cards instead 💪💪
Love to see such usefull video ❤ Thank you so much 😊 By the way I'm going to start this business now a days before that i just use to play with these cards , it was real fun but i need to sell them ASAP because in my full time job I don't have si much time 😞 I would like to sell you my whole collection at bargain price if you're interested do let me know I'll show you every card 👍
Buying at 80% from shows and selling on ebay with 16% fees is only going to work if you are shifting ALOT of cards. If you buy a £100 card you are only making £4 and if you offer free shipping you are not making any money so be careful. Buying at 80% only really works if you are selling on instagram or shows so be careful with that when you are starting out.
Agreed thank you for the comments. Ideally 70% is where you want to buy at and a majority of sales are going to be smaller priced cards with less shipping cost. It’s all about learning with eBay and shifting to other platforms to increase margin and ability to create a business.
@MNMLCards very true but if you buy right you can make good money on ebay. I sell on ebay full time and a good amount of what I sell is pokemon cards. Also try to buy collections rather than individual cards. It is easier said than done some times but it can be done. I tend to pay around the 50% mark so it still leaves me a nice profit. There are people that will not sell at that price but there are plenty that will.
TLDR: Wheel and deal and always use protection. Jokes aside, I’m actually going to sell my collection at a local card shop so I’ll be using these tips to set my expectations.
And keep in mind guys, you NEED to put in the work if you wanna make money. It’s not easy
Pinned this💪 perfect way to say it bro!
Just starting out my pokemon collection/business and this video was super helpful. Appreciate man, you just got a new subscriber!
Thank you so much!

Yessirrr a good boost goes a long way!
These tips are not just good for selling pokemon cards, they can be transferred to any buy and sell business. Video games, Mtg, trainers etc
With ebay you also need to consider the cost of promoted listings. I typically use 3%
You the goat! Love your videos!
Thank you!!!
Awesome info! Would love to see how you do your spreadsheet. Learning excel right now and I know what I got could be better haha
I think I can make that video soon!🫡🫡
Most vendors buy cards from people for 70% . Imagine selling your $1000 for $700 to a vendor …..

Thank you!!! And I would say slabs are easier, especially in 10’s. I always look for either ungraded or 10’s that’s just my sweet spot when selling 😃

Are you paying taxes year end for this business ?
Yes!
@@MNMLCards are you able to write of most of the expenses and pay as less tax as possible ?
Like pay tax on only the profit margins
Always wear protection
I have over 4000 cards I don’t even know where to start.
I don’t see anyone selling for 80% let alone 70%.
Use protection folks 😅
