I like older cars because those are actually made out of steel metal not the cheap ass plastic we have nowdays. Also low repair costs and not much electronics that means less trouble. I myself drive an 84 volvo 240
Wizzara, the downside? It’s less safe. Safety regulations in the modern era require those “cheap plastic” because they work, crumple zone keep you safe. No matter how expensive the repair cost, you can’t repair your own life

and that was when i was 16, i know better now how stupid and dangerous that was with a car with such a high center of gravity. currently working part time to buy a neighbors datsun 280z and restore it
I'm the same. xD Not because of my own safety, but because I can't afford any trouble with the police. I always try to stay inside the speed limits, but even still, I drive like a jackass. Some corners are just irresistible. Actually, FWD that has a tendency to understeer is pretty dangerous, but one that always oversteers (happily, my case) it's easy and fun AF to slide. Basically, all you gotta do to get back on track is hit the gas in the direction you wanna go and done, you're not sliding anymore. In a RWD, you actually gotta know what you are doing and have better sensibility with the gas.
ThePortuguesePlayer FWD cant overseer unless you have super bad back tires. The problem there is you are losing traction in the back wheels and it slides out, the front keeps traction. If you cant drift a car, then it cant oversteer. FWD cars can only understeer, RWD cars can understeer and oversteer.
Who the heck told yah that?! Never watched Rally? Super 1600? Those FWD do some mad skids! Although I do have purposely put bad tires at the back, it's not only because of it the car tends to slip its rear (since the front tires are also pretty bad, they are just have less pressure on them, I use 1.9 at the front and 2.0 at the rear). The reason is weight balance. My car is a 2000's 1-liter Opel Agila, which is an under 1000kg kei car like minivan. A very tall minivan. The engine is a small 3 cylinder aluminum block, which is very light, probably lighter than the gas tank and rear seats together. Combining that with the heavy roof sitting at the top, basically, the car feels like a pendulum. You have a very light front sitting on the floor and a heavy rear where the weight is sitting much higher. Then, thanks to the tires being slightly worst at the rear than the front, the rear has "freedom" to give in to the momentum while the front keeps its grip. I think that's basically it, at least it's the sense I make from it... Of course I can't drift with it, since that energy of the momentum is limited, but, "it slides the rear" for a bit. It's still fun, but cheaper, lol. A lot less rubber burned.
Yep if my phone goes off I find somewhere to pull over it only takes like 2 second why bother trying to drive and text at the same time. Do people not understand you are driving a 3000 pound death machine when your texting
StopshootMe pulling over on a freeway is a traffic endangerment and you will be asked to move by a cop. Pull off the highway or dont answer until you can.
When I started driving, I tried a little bit of everything and still run my tires bald fast, but I've learned to do that far away from other drivers. Remember that no matter how well in-tune you are with your car, you can never account for the driving of others. There's no accounting for mechanical failure or tires flying apart because you're straining them beyond reason. Have your fun guys, drift to hearts content, just be careful where you do it. Family owned property can go a long way to learning to better control your car. Side note; Loud civics are cool as long as you've got the tune to go with it and your exhaust doesn't sound like a tin can. You do you 25-ish guy I saw with a ton of camber. Yours was the coolest Civic I've seen yet.
Bryce Yoder bro, some of my best friends have been killed in car accidents, one time I was on FaceTime with a passenger when they veered off the high speed 2 lane road and plowed into an on coming 18 wheeler. I SAW it. You make me sick bro. Even if u can “text without looking”, part of your brain is still being distracted by concentrating on the letters you are clicking even if you don’t realise it. Same with Snapchat. You’re focused on something other than the road. Just because you can “see” it, doesn’t mean your brain will process it if you’re still distracted. You need to get your ass off the road before you kill someone, and you will be sorry you ever got your Snapchat in the first place if you do. I’m 17 and I have never/will never look at my phone for any reason unless it’s an emergency, and someone hating on your filter is not one of them. Get off the road.

StaticalStep had a kid in a crappy looking purple Nissan do that, and some kid two years ago (in some car that I didn’t see but heard) nearly hit a mom crossing the street with her child in a stroller doing the same thing
My first car was a 1970 F100 custom my step dad paid $350 for, it has a trash engine, he threw the keys at me and said figure it out, i ended up trading it for a 1978 Chevy bonanza, then i traded that for a 1966 mustang, i rebuilt my first 302 with that mustang, after the mustang i traded it for a 1967 ford Galaxie that didn't have a motor or transmission. I ended up trading the galaxie to a guy who had a 1988 f150 sitting at his shop, he gave it to me as a trade and he did all the work for me, i then sold it for $2000 and paid in cash for my current and dream car, my 1971 4 door impala with an original LS-1 turbo fire 350. I can honestly say I did it by myself, my parents gave me the base and i built upon it. and because of the base they gave me I have tons of mechanic experience.

When I first got my license and car, I drove slow and steady. Everything was so scary even though other cars, peds around me and roads weren't dangerous at all. But later, I got confident with driving and started to drive pretty recklessly. I loved to speed and pass other cars. Now... since I've been driving for yrs, I started to drive softly. I don't wanna be an idiot on the road anymore.
I'm 17 and I've been driving legally since I was 15, but I learned manual when I was 14. I just bought my friends old NA MX-5, 5 speed manual, and it's so great having that feeling of self reliance. Got a long way to go but I've done well thus far

I'm a mixture of 1&2. I never go faster than the speed limit allows neither I go lower. This also counts for the Autobahn (I'm from Germany). But as soon as there is no speed limit I go full throttle😅.

I'm more of the "Slow And Steady" driver. And I'm happy driving my 2011 Ford Fusion SE. It's a great car. I got it used from my dad's work for $2500 USD. I was happy with the buy a few months ago, and I'm still happy about it now.
My friend got caught hauling 134 in a 30 2 blocks away from school. Said he was late to school and he had standardized testing and the cop gave him an escort. I'm serious.
I went in and wanted a Honda Civic sport, but my dad got me a BMW 535i m sport. I never thought a BMW would be on the table, and I’m extremely thankful.
My first was a 2000 Toyota Tacoma V6 that my dad passed on to me. The absolute greatest possible non-sporty, non-luxurious vehicle I can ask for. I still have it and do my own work on it.
I got my learners license over 2 months ago, I'm the one that sticks to the speed limit, and restrictions while being mindful of other drivers, that made me do a couple of mistakes so from that point, I was the safe driver that was faster paced than others. my mom complains about my dad always going over the speed limit, now when I sat in the passenger seat with her after I got my license, it didn't take long for me to realize that she was in no position to be complaining like that, my dad drove safer than her, she failed to stop at stop signs, did 60 in a 50, did 50 in a 35, failed to signal multiple times, basically more than enough for me to cross her off of my considerations for driving examples
Albert S. Classic car that I love to drive is my dad's VW Beetle 1973. To me, the tech gizmos don't matter. What matters is having a manual transmission, and I am happy to say that it is a 4-Speed stick. Besides the Beetle is much, much too slow to be dangerous for a teenager to drive. 75MPH is about max for those cars. Same thing with a Mercedes 240D diesel, it's very slow.
I've backed into somebody, but thankfully it didn't do anything. Steel body panel life! Oh, and I wasn't texting, he was in my assigned spot (Later I figured out he pulled out in front of someone and they hit him), so I was trying to get as close to my spot as possible. Didn't hit the brake in time, but at crawl speed, I don't think anything would damage a classic car.
I’m definitely the slow and steady driver. Driving gives me severe anxiety, so it takes a lot of courage for me to stick my keys into the ignition and get on the road.
Okay I do sound like I'm talking out of my behind, but hear me out. Imagine constantly checking your mirrors, your sides, your back like a paranoid lunatic, which ends up having you pay a lot less attention to actually driving the car, and where you're going. I am saying this as someone who was personally guilty of the same issue for the first YEAR of my driving, thinking I was being a good driver. In reality I was just making everyone I had in the car with me JUST as anxious as I was.
Yea u shouldn’t drive. Nervous drivers r the ones who get into accidents. I’m definitely faster and more aggressive than average but I’m not like a complete fuckin maniac. I just like driving on the faster side because it feels cool and I get a really nice adrenaline rush. Instead of smokin weed, my high is speeding lol
I use to be slow, but I am the stock impreza driver who drives like an idiot but also tries to be extremely careful and honest, I will launch if I see a BMW on my rear bumper because I hate those dicks.
I'm that slow 'n' steady driver. Not overly cautious though. I just do the speed limit lol. It annoys the shit out of most people. I don't give a fuck because I've prevented at least 5 accidents doing so. I've been driving since I was 16 now I'm 21. Haven't had an accident or ticket and hopefully will keep it that way so I can drive for a living, as most of my family have been city bus drivers, school bus drivers, truckers, taxi cab drivers, etc. I see almost everyone else on the road as batshit crazy. lol
Lincolnator you sound like me, I just ride a motorcycle. I takes a lot of willpower for me to not break some people's Mirrors for overtaking me and then brake checking me for going the speed limit. I have a Kawasaki z650 and I don't go above the speed limit unless I'm on a country road in the middle of nowhere. Happy driving my friend! I hope you stick to your no accident record!
Aztekky I pretty much do the same as well just drive the speed limit (I'll follow traffic if conditions allow for it) and I'm glad that I have done so over the years. As I've actually witnessed a few accidents that could have been me had I've been going faster.

I started out as the fast and the furious. Hauling ass all day everyday, then the cost of gas dawned upon me so I chilled out a bit but I still haul ass on freeways and back roads
I'm slow and steady. My ground clearance is about 1 inch at my exhaust resonator, so I have to swerve pot holes, speed bumps etc. I have had my car for about 3 weeks and only bottomed out on 1 pot hole and banged my frame hard once coming out of a little Cesar's.
My first vehicle (and still is my only vehicle) is a 1986 C.U.C.V (Commercial Unit Cargo Vehicle) that was In the military. It is a slow truck, but you gotta love that Diesel engine idol.

I tend to be the slow and steady. Then the road narrows and gets twisty, and I haul ass.
SPS Be careful. Especially if you're in a FWD. More chance of losing traction.
I'm the same. xD
Not because of my own safety, but because I can't afford any trouble with the police.
Explain lift off oversteer then?

When I started driving, I tried a little bit of everything and still run my tires bald fast, but I've learned to do that far away from other drivers.

Love my 89 golf :D Quite grippy, not so slow, light, cheap parts, more room, great tuning potential and no depreciation
I hope no one backs into my car when I can drive to school. Mainly the folks with their face glued to their phone have me worried about it.
Hello There just make sure you see it. It would go on their insurance
The TH-cam Phantom Official legally youre at fault for that one
My neighbor paid me a new front bumper from his insurance after he backed into me.
Hello There
Why be worried, it won't hurt you one bit. Their parents, or the kid, would pay for it and their insurance.
I used to drive an old Integra that would slam ricers purely off of VTEC, it was 25 years old too. Good times
I’m definitely the slow and steady driver. Driving gives me severe anxiety, so it takes a lot of courage for me to stick my keys into the ignition and get on the road.
There is a difference between being TOO careful and just careful enough.
I really don't recommend driving if you are scared
I use to be slow, but I am the stock impreza driver who drives like an idiot but also tries to be extremely careful and honest, I will launch if I see a BMW on my rear bumper because I hate those dicks.
You just passed my house !!
Rly
Dheemant Nathani give me the address
@@iconic439 I just wanna visit him :(
@@iconic439 so u think I'm a creep? :(
@@iconic439 I mean I just wanna make sure he wasn't lying :/ Its not like I'm gonna go see him in person
Lincolnator the most you should go is 5 over but some dick heads don't even know what a speed limit is and go 45 on a 20 zone
same dude, go the speed limit rather than risk your own life and that of other to get where you are going 2 minutes faster
J Glizzy racist
Aztekky I pretty much do the same as well just drive the speed limit (I'll follow traffic if conditions allow for it) and I'm glad that I have done so over the years. As I've actually witnessed a few accidents that could have been me had I've been going faster.
Me when looking at thumbnail and title: oh nice a bladed angel video
Me when looking closer and clicking on it: Wait what, ohhh it's a different guy
Me at the end: Ohhhhh, bladed angel's brother, makes a lot more sense **justice**
You’re exactly like your brother except much more positive and encouraging
Some kid in his daddy’s 5.0 sped past me today in the parking lot leaving school. All I have is a Honda Civic but I was spinning all through first and into second trying catch up with him. Rip me
jrs_ 2000 jdm as fooook :) 😉
jrs_ 2000 wow I am 12 and I want a civic
Bob no you don't lol.
If you had a type r shoulda just kicked up second to 3 rpm then go back down to 1st and boom instant vtec
Whatjusthappend I’m 17 with a 2015 5.0. Purchased by me.
I’m 1 and 2 tbh I’ll floor it and do above the speed limit but in heavy traffic i get so scared haha
I started out as the fast and the furious. Hauling ass all day everyday, then the cost of gas dawned upon me so I chilled out a bit but I still haul ass on freeways and back roads
My Camaro 2ss is finishing production on the 10th of August right in time for me to get my license!! I'm so excited!!!
K.I.A. Blayne lol thats why I bought an suv. I am not a fan of low cars that cant go through speed humps.
I am 17 and I have a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I worked hard for it and payed it for it all by my self and I love it
Dylan Power good for you! I have a 2012 Cherokee and I payed for half of it and my dad payed for the other half
How? how the hell do you afford that at 17?
I cant imagine buying a new car in my late 20s without going in debt.
BQNG I work.
BQNG and saved
Just bought a 07 grand Cherokee at 17 you got me beat I guess
Well atleast you got a car from your parents, my parents wont give me shit, they say i have to work for it
Max olotl good parent
Yeah me too. I bought my own car for 800$. It feels good though, like you are a grown man paying bills.
PAul Schalkham indeed
Angel Gutierrez a car for 800? What car was it, and how can you still drive a 800$ car without breaking it?
i saw a 1990 ford festiva for $600. runs, drives, and quite a bit of work done to it.
My first vehicle (and still is my only vehicle) is a 1986 C.U.C.V (Commercial Unit Cargo Vehicle) that was In the military. It is a slow truck, but you gotta love that Diesel engine idol.
Who doesn't love the CHUGGACHUGGACHUGGA of a diesel
You forgot the tuners
I was waiting for him to mention that but he never did 😑 like, yeah there are teenagers that drive hella fast, but how about teenagers that actually build their ride ?
Matthew Griffin so he forgot the fast and furious and ricer??
Matthew Griffin aren't most tuners ricers so he basically had that topic covered
Alex68dash and JustMarkNL how dumb can you be to think that ricers and tuners are the same. ffs you obviously have no idea what a tuner is. a ricer overdoes fake, cheap crap on their car, tuners however, are smart and are actually those “car guys” that you hear about. they put real upgrades and mods on their car and you can always tell the difference between the two. ricers cars sound like a buzzing noise while tuners sound mean as. if you don’t understand, search up “the differences between ricers and tuners” thank me later…
Aussie Bro I know what tuners are I was saying the class type car "tuner" I wasn't saying that all tuners look like ricers (apart from the ones that are actually good in tunings and looks) I meant that most people that have a tuner type car mostly rice them out
hate those texters
I thought I bought a race exhaust but instead I bought a fart can and put it on my E35
E35... nice bmw model tell me more about it
Lmao
Reilly vlogs lol
💀💀💀💀
Lol i need a fart can for my e46 now
I wish I could get a licence at 16
But on the other hand I'm glad automatic transmissions aren't that wide spread in Europe. Manuals are awesome!
Teenage drivers.
Yeah we dont have those in germany, we have to be 18 for a driving licence
Thatcher RainbowSix Team Hey old fook, do you ride a Morris Mini?
Rook well I'm not 18 I'm 14 :/
Thatcher RainbowSix Team same here
18 is still a teen your not a teen when u turn 20
I think Teenager are you puppetry to 17 because if you turn 18, you are allowed to do everything that adults are allowed to, well at least in germany.
I go to a private school full of rich people. I am not rich I am privileged. They can spend tons of money and don’t care, but my parents give up a lot so I can go to my school. I hate the kids who have Porsches and other nice cars when they turn 16.
Then why do you study there? Lmao
@@iconic439 Hahahaha I'm sorry man
@@iconic439 At this point Im doing it on purpose 😂
My high school experience was the same way. Driving my car that I paid $2,000 cash for past all the cars with monthly payments of $800 lol
Playmobil City kids at my school brag about their bmw, mercedes , or that they got a brand new car all the time. not only that they act like they know everything about cars but end up being a ricer
I have a 2003 ford expidetion with an 4.6v8 with and exhaust system and I 17 I consider myself lucky since I love trucks and pickups my dream truck would be a single cab Chevy or Gmc lowered and probably a prochager btw I'm mexican explains alot
Banana Man Love For the love of god please don't lower a truck lol
JKintzle02 yeah well I'm a Mexican American that lives in northern Maryland, and lifted trucks is all I see lol. Hell, my dad has a 2500HD lifted, which is why I see it as odd for a truck to ride so low to the ground. But everyone has different tastes in cars, and I can respect that, and yes I do occasionally see some lowered trucks that look pretty sweet
Down here in cali lowered trucks are all you see and you still see them carrying heavy shit
Banana Man Love trucks don't go down, they are supposed to go UP
Banana Man Love I drive a 2002 Chevy Silverado single cab on a 4/6 drop, I full HD front end swapped it & it's rolling on SS 20's... it's my joy and happiness. Good luck to you on finding a cab brother🤙🏻
There was some kid in my school who bragged about all these expensive cars he had at home and other expensive things. But whenever he got to school, he was dropped off in his moms minivan. Even when he got his license finally, I never saw him driving any of these cars. Don’t live a lie.
