You’re right. It’s my money, my car, my passion. I’ll do whatever makes me happy. And if that’s spending my money and time on my car, then, that’s what I’ll do.
Well, apparently my grandpa cursed my dad or something like that idk, And he said my dad will never driving without being in an accident and that made him pretty anxious and scared of driving.

Friend: "Dont you think spending that much on your car is a waste?" excuse : "I havent spent all that much, im happy with it as it is!" Reality: "Spent over 15k in parts and got additional costs of well over 10k lined up."
The best way to shut people up about you spending money on mods is just say ok well I can buy these parts or I'll start an alcohol/drug addiction to get the same feeling that I get from driving this car.
I got the question from my close relative that ask me about why I choose manual transmission car for current car. I answered this: because the auto variant for this model is slow (the car only came with 5 speed manual and 4 speed automatic). Unless the car has more gear on automatic than manual, then I would think to buy the auto.
You know, if you're wasting your money on something that makes you happy, then why spend money on television, internet, mobile phones and carriers, sweets and drinks, when you could just buy necessities and save the rest of your money... i hate people who say that cause they would not agree with the former... telling someone they shouldn't spend money on their passion(s) is like telling them to live a dull life where they should only focus on making money...
IMO it's worse to not have a hobby. I think everyone should have something they can obsess over (healthy) that's not work or responsibility related. Something that brings joy and a escape.
Being into cars, guns and anime I'm seldom bothered by the opinions of others. There'll always be someone with something to say so I'll just do my own thing and let them do there's.

my dad(he actually supports my hobby) once asked me why spend money on modification to make the car faster instead of buying a faster car. it took me 5 inutes to explain to him that upgrading 25,000$ into a supra for 1000hp is still cheaper than buying a 1000hp car
You forgot mention it feels good and unique you own or build your vehicle. It gains respect and also depends on the people, will also recognize you through your vehicle. Especially since we use cars day to day base. Stand out a bit but not ricer stage

If I had to choose between the C7 and C8, I'd take the much more handsome C7. The C8 may be a better performance car by every metric, but man, the lines Gus go nowhere and do nothing. Well, they do one thing... They look unattractive. A facelift cleaning it up just a bit would work wonders.
I like cars because I like to think of all the thought and engineering that goes into them. Though operation and the idea is simple, the amount of work and technology in them is a vast undertaking. Best put, it's a symphony of engineering that allows a machine to effortlessly take you from one place to another. I can't help but appreciate that and currently, I'd like to know everything about them.

The financial wall (cost of ownership) ...I think you breifly touched on it in the video. In England and U.K it's around 1 grand in total to complete all driver training to get your licence, 1 grand+ for insurance in the first year of driving, annual car tax, £1.225 per UK gallon for fuel and an annual ministry of transport test and service. And that's before accounting for mods and other maintenance. I'm not opposed to this penalty as cars pollute the earth but its finicially taxing to be a young car enthusiast in the UK. My love for cars and driving is still present though... Driving is great
I love cars and I’ve owned multiple modded S13’s, STi etc but it’s just so damn expensive. I wish there were more car people in my school. Everyone is either talking about daddy’s money or TikTok. I don’t have a car, heck I don’t even have a driver’s license. I used to have some friends that were into cars, but they either started home school, or moved away. I just wish I could face to face talk about cars with someone. I’m trying to get my crush into cars cause I have her number, but she leaves me on read for 30 minutes and then says she’s busy and can’t talk. I don’t question her cause maybe she has a lot of chores or something. But I’m in a discord and we talk about cars and games and stuff like that. But I want the face to face talking. It’s better that way.
I know this may sound kind of sketchy, but since I cant drive yet, I find a nice patch of grass next to the street by a grocery store or something, and I wait for a nice car to pull in. I go to talk to the owner, and they always really appreciate a kid like me complimenting their car. I dunno, it's something to try if you want interaction. I've gotten lucky a few times where they would give me a rev or two. I have a few videos of those experiences on my channel if you want to take a look :)
I have a Subaru wrx and of course, we get memed at, vape, headgaskets, etc. but we all enjoy those memes lol. And every time I pass by another wrx, STI, or EVEN A FORESTER, we will wave/give a piece sign. It’s a great community. Miata owners are cool too, NA owners do the pop up headlight winks, wave, etc. there’s a lot of communities that are amazing.

Their hobby is different. Everyone have hobby, which may or may not be cars. In places that have decent mass transit, cars may not be necessary at all. For car enthusiasts there, it is mostly because they appreciate the engineering of automobiles in the same way rail fans appreciate trains. Germany is haven for both car and non car guys. You have options of Autobahn and mass transit to get anywhere. Remember that cars are invented as a form of personalised transport. Like every invention, there will be people who will love it, with you specifically liking cars. Those non car guys just love something else in the same way you love cars.
@@NGKGMR I have other hobbies too that isn't related to car, and supportive friends who aren't necessarily car guys. Sometimes, components of cars can be found somewhere else. Try comparing the iconic Boxer engine of Subaru and Cessna 152's engine.
My pepé has a hobby for golf. But his side-hobby is rebuilding classic cars. He's rebuilt an MG roadster, and he's currently building a small-block ford f100. Currently drives slow. Bodywork is slowly coming along, and is working on getting paint. He also goes to a lot of classic car shows, with his roadster, and reluctant wife. He's a nice guy, great to meet, and he'll be happy to share his disgusting beer with you.
The thing about saving to other people, it’s also hard to tell if the person is in the community or if it’s their “status symbol”. It’s extra effort to get a motorcycle license so everyone that’s on a bike is likely in the community

In terms of the latest and greats “toys” I want to experience having being the first owner and buying form the dealership. That I want to experience that with is the 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500.
I will definitely have to say that money is by far my biggest issue and is the only obstacle holding me back. I have never owned a nice or fast car that I can confidently modify and at the rate I am going, I probably never will. ☹
It is true that car guys don't give a friendly gesture when driving I mean for me it's rare to see someone do that,I'm sure that non car guys probaly give more hand gestures than regular car guys, great vid btw 👌

When in reality here in Italy It costs only 25.000€s and It takes nothing to find one on a vending site, maybe the only problem ill have with a Delta Is because It sucks a lot of gasoil, so It will cost to always reload the car with fuel, but its ok, its a risk in willing to make. The whole point of this comment Is about one thing: if you want and you feel like you can do something, do It, do not care about people saying that you cant, because its bullshit. Thanks for the video and the demosteation of how someone can Say nosense bullshit to you, and the fun fact Is that im 12 and i know more about cars( engineering and story ) than my whole family.

It’s weird that if you’re into cars.
People will tell you to get a “real” hobby.
But not about *anything* else, like seriously, just don’t do that
Like, honestly, how is it any "less valid" of a hobby than collecting stamps for example.
And the funny thing is that most of the time people telling that list "Partying, Drinking and Meeting with friends" as hobbies...
I hate when I meet people who are too brand loyal that everything that isn't what they are loyal too is trash. I get a lot of Chevy, Ford, and Dodge extremist where I live a they are very annoying especially when they say they are a car enthusiast. I love my German but I love all performance cars and built cars.
Chris French Yes. I don‘t care about the brand. I care about the car and the stats.
Yeh, if you were a car guy as a kid, the worst thing, is being told that your not a proper car guy and just a fanboy, you don’t need a car to be an enthusiast
Very true, I'm barely a teenager and I love cars more than anything in the world
"Why are you doing 82 , the limit is 70."
"Who's the one selling drugs out of my car here?"
I remember somethiing Bladed said about how when he talks to college students they say car enthusiast are sillly. When he asks them what they like to do they so they like drinking and going to parties. so basically they don't have a hobby and are basic.

Driving is not scary if you don't know a thing about car physics.
Friend: "Dont you think spending that much on your car is a waste?"
excuse : "I havent spent all that much, im happy with it as it is!"
Reality: "Spent over 15k in parts and got additional costs of well over 10k lined up."
The best way to shut people up about you spending money on mods is just say ok well I can buy these parts or I'll start an alcohol/drug addiction to get the same feeling that I get from driving this car.
Me who’s paying attention to the video:
*hey that road looks familiar-*
I got the question from my close relative that ask me about why I choose manual transmission car for current car. I answered this: because the auto variant for this model is slow (the car only came with 5 speed manual and 4 speed automatic). Unless the car has more gear on automatic than manual, then I would think to buy the auto.
I remember my parents having a similar wonder when I wanted a stick for my car, but they stopped asking after I still got to work with a dead battery.
You know, if you're wasting your money on something that makes you happy, then why spend money on television, internet, mobile phones and carriers, sweets and drinks, when you could just buy necessities and save the rest of your money... i hate people who say that cause they would not agree with the former... telling someone they shouldn't spend money on their passion(s) is like telling them to live a dull life where they should only focus on making money...

my dad(he actually supports my hobby) once asked me why spend money on modification to make the car faster instead of buying a faster car. it took me 5 inutes to explain to him that upgrading 25,000$ into a supra for 1000hp is still cheaper than buying a 1000hp car

Everybody gangsta until they ask you to help fix their car 💀
I like cars because I like to think of all the thought and engineering that goes into them. Though operation and the idea is simple, the amount of work and technology in them is a vast undertaking. Best put, it's a symphony of engineering that allows a machine to effortlessly take you from one place to another.
I can't help but appreciate that and currently, I'd like to know everything about them.

If it makes you happy, it's not considered wasting time/money.
I really wish I could get back into the game but having a mortgage and a kid on the way it’s just not possible. One of the most difficult experience I've ever faced as a car guy is being to young to drive or own a car.

In places that have decent mass transit, cars may not be necessary at all. For car enthusiasts there, it is mostly because they appreciate the engineering of automobiles in the same way rail fans appreciate trains.
