I am new to Macros, so I was wondering if there is any chance or do you have a video where you cover how to write the macro for the first part of the video? (the part where you click to browse). Though I have a question my Excel knowledge is basic or even less than that; regardless of it I consider myself a bit of tech savvy. Your instructions seem clear to me though along the video I thought you were going to show how you make those macro buttons and the workbook to edit them. I would certainly appreciate very much if you can tell me or guide me to one of your videos on how to do this. I realize even though I understand almost everything you said you actually didn't explain how to create those macros and how to edit them. Please help! A newbie in distress here.

What you can do is create 3 to 5 different macros, one for each PDF form and then assign a 'PDF Type' for each macro so that when you come across a specific form you can run the macro linked to the form. @@ExcelForFreelancers Actually I just realized it is not possible because the fault must be in Foxit Reader. It's Foxit that's not tabbing the information when a field is blank, so the info is thrown off into the wrong columns before your macro can do anything about it and there's no way for the Excel macro to know this has happened.

    I'm looking for a free tool of some sort, that can simply unwrap and list all the files contained in a normal unencrypted PDF. The reason being I found a PDF (a less than 200 pages book with very few pics) that's more than 250MB's. There's definitely something else going on than just bad compression or formatting. I would like to just see a simple list of all the different files, fonts and whatever the PDF contains. Every single item, not just text or pics that has a lot of free apps and can also be done in Acrobat Reader.

      You will want to associate PDF files with either Adobe or Foxit. You can do this through Windows or either of the two programs. Thanks very much.

    Would it be possible to use PDFs on a cloud drive folder? Maybe something like OneDrive?

    • @ExcelForFreelancers
      @ExcelForFreelancers  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      There should be no problem using pdf's on any drive, including a cloud drive, as long as they can be accessed by the application.

      You may try this: Search for "employee data sample pdfs". You get a lot of search results to pick from!
      Or you may search for this on youtube: "make your own employee data sample pdfs using EXCEL".
      This might get you closer to your success: youtube search: "save excel sheet as pdf ".
