I have been a fan of this game for 10 or 11 years now on the PSP I finished it once and after that I found out there was more than just Peace Walker, it was a great discovery
This game has suprisingly detailed reloads for an old third person shooter I'm also unsure if people know this (I've never played an MGS game before and I'm not in the community) but the Patriot seems to be an M231
@@vitalik38815 you’re right, it’s just MGSV is available on steam, the most (or second most if GOG is included, I’m not in possession of a GOG account. Checking now shows it has MGS integral and metal gear 1. But not anything else) future proof game supplier.
It's impossible to remake this game. This is the game that pushed PSP capabilities to the limt, there's no PSP that could be better than this game system-wise. The aesthetic is also very unique, too unique in fact. A grumpy graphic sets in the tropical island of Central America during the hottest era of Cold War. With the reminiscant of 70s TV show and comic, which made the Comic book cutscene very appealing as well as all the mention of 70s Sony invention like the legendary Walkman. Even if Konami somehow port this game to PC or even the latest console. They might be able to mimic the core gameplay, using MGS5 as model, but they can never recreate the styles that made MGS: PW stands out from other.
I’d like a Fox Engine remake that uses Ground Zeroes as a base, kind of like how Twin Snakes uses MGS2 as a base. Title the game Metal Gear Solid 5: Peace Walker like it was originally intended to show people that Peace Walker is mainline. So many people skip Peace Walker and go straight to V because they think Peace Walker is a spin-off. If they did make this remake a thing, it would be funny if they had a trailer that opens up with one of the flashback scenes with The Boss. This would trick people into thinking that this is an MGS3 remake at first. I never hear anyone really talking about remaking Peace Walker. It’s always MGS1 and MGS3 which both already had remakes on Nintendo consoles.
I think its better than MGS3 and its not better than 4 but like you said it could easily rival them. MGS2 reminds me of PW because of all the missions. I only play MGS2,3, and PW on my vita lol thats all i play.
@@MarcusDobson916 This has more gameplay then MGS4. MGS4 is mechanically superior but it has a real problem with balancing it’s cutscenes and gameplay. As a result you get little gameplay and starting with Act 3, you stop sneaking past people until one area in Act 5.
I think this is the funnest metal gear ever. The distinct enemy types like the stationary scouts, snipers, helmet dudes, shield fellas, kidnapper bots make the sneaking always fun and varied, consecutive CQC was dope (and OP), the QTEs were unique, and Peace Walker Phase 2 was the most epic battle of the franchise. I just did a naked camo playthrough and it was an enjoyable challenge.
@@Adli0804 In Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, the Patriot can be developed from design specs held by Kazuhira Miller, which are obtained during the "Date with Kaz" Extra Op. The description also references its infinite ammunition, although with a notably different explanation for it: claiming that it was because The Boss left a piece of herself inside it. In terms of the overall mission order, not counting the Monster Hunter related missions, the Patriot is also the last weapon/item to be developed in the R&D menu. Its development requirements after unlocking the design specs are an R&D level of 99, the completion of the M16A1 (w/shotgun) rank 4, and a member of R&D with the "Patriot" skill. Peace Walker has the best story in the entire saga IMO. Without spoiling anything, the ending part of the campaign though, with all the plot twists, at first I thought I messed up somewhere along the line and got a bad ending

It's so frustrating that most of this stuff, at the point when you unlock it, is basically useless. All of those fancy rifles, SMGs and shotguns are either/both loud and lethal, so they don't give you an S rank, nor are they hard hitting enough to deal with the UMGs. And S ranking, and grinding UMGs are the only tasks left to do when you are finally able to unlock most of this stuff, when even the main plot is basically finished.
Go to your favorite mission. Choose Naked gear. Only take M16 or M1C no other weapons. No silencer. Only take chaff grenade if you take M1C. No rations or supply marker. Get food and ammo from guards. No radars, no Fulton, no boxes, no NV goggles. Start your mission and shoot the first person you see until near death. Run up taze them bringing them to near death to stun. They will call re enforcements and it will get very difficult. If you can beat missions like this killing no one but leaving them stunned after shooting them down. The game becomes fun.
I absolutely loved the game but one thing that only annoyed me is the high-pitched sound when firing ARs and MGs and/or just having the guns have the same sounds.

Impossible legal-wise. Since technically both Hideo and Konami owned the game, Hideo owns the system while Konami own the license, it means that Hideo already owns Metal Gear franchise. Around 50% of it. However, since Hideo develope the game FOR Konami and sold it using Konami's publishment. Konami would have absolute owner right to MGS franchise as a whole. Meaning that Hideo can never buy the right from Konami as he "technically" already have the right and Konami can always refuse his attempt by using the above reason and the fact MGS was made when he was their employee.

Well from my understanding, most of the reload animations (and in general) are reused from MGS3/4 in which in itself are very detailed
