Rode has a software as well that records locally to the lav pack itself. So it'll start recording locally to the lav when you turn it on, and if you ever do lose signal you can recover the audio from the lav to your computer.
So if I have the Sony a7siii and put the audio level at 3 and have the rode wireless at -9… if I wanted to adjust the wireless go eg. If someone speaks softer would I make it -6 or -3 ? And vice versa if someone speaks louder I’ll go to -9 or -12 ?? Thanks mate
Thanks for the question! A Louder speaking person you’d wanna go to -9 or -12 …in an effort to minimize them peaking. If they speak softer you would wanna go to -3 or - 6. Hope this helps.
@@PaulMcGovernJrthanks for the swift reply brother ! Really appreciate the information and help, which camera are you using ? I’ve been trying to play around with the Sony a7siii and I have my audio level at 5 and it seems to be working okay ? What’s your experience
@@bettadenu7 Yeah man, Sony A7siii - and i put it at like 2 or 3 at the audio input. It works pretty well! I really haven't had too many issues with the devices, other than battery life at times. So that's kind of annoying, because you have to plug it in.
Great review, looked at several others, you are out there in real life sitations, very helpfull. I was looking to have a directionla mic as well, as I will be shooting long lens shots, but the two mics... I can record me and put the other one next to the actoin and get the best of both worlds :) Thanks.
I tried to shoot a video with this last night and I could hear it rubbing against my clothes even though it was clipped to my pocket. What should I do?
Thanks for watching! Hopefully this video has helped ya! Let me know if you bought this kit, or have any questions!
Great video and love the audio samples! There’s also a single set too!
Thanks! Glad it was helpful!

Yes thank you!
Rode Central! It’s a life saver. I should have mentioned about that in the video!

Thanks! Yeah it was a fun one to make and even helped me see how far I can take these things. Happy to hear it helped!
that's quite an expensive set! but the sound effect is so good! the only downside is it failed to picked up what Jacob was saying, so I dunno... 🤔
Jacob is a bit of a low talker! Needed to put it closer
How were the beers?
The beers ran true my man!

Were you using the lav mic? Or just the device clipped on ?
@@PaulMcGovernJr just the Rode clipped on by itself
