Also yes, the Kundalini yoga is same as the concept of Middle pillar ritual. It is about balancing the "Ida" and "Pingala" nadis and having a balanced "Sun" and "moon" energy

In electrical circuits with inductors; like Motors. The Sine Wave for Voltage and for Amperage will become out of sink, creating a Power Factor. This can be completely opposite in what is lagging behind in a high capacitance circuit.
I see Yogic Metaphysics in the same way! As an electrician you want to get Voltage and Amperage to cross the zero plane in a sine wave, as close as possible.
Through Hatha Yoga and Pranayama, you will have the Ida and Pingla sinking up to Perfection. You will be able to Hear this happen, when the two eeeeeee sounds in you head make a new sound; Nada Yoga.

    This video freaking RULES.
I feel like the list of "Tantra-Style" impulses he gave was PERFECT.
I agreed with the Truth and Beauty of every single one.
It was SO SATISFYING to see my inner beliefs so expansively, and specifically reflected to me, from the outside. The Author of that list KNEW ME - better than I knew MYSELF!! Because THEY are walking the same path, only FURTHER ADVANCED! Magick really IS rigorous like Science!!! And there are definitely LEVELS of attainment! It's NOT just a squishy "Do whatever you feel" kind of philosophy - even though it is also partly an ART FORM! Where personal intuition and passion are taken seriously, and HARNESSED for the creation of WORKS!
    Goddess Bless You, "Foolish Fish"!
    Keep up the Great Work!

Thanks FF. I came to magick via Tantra (Buddhist and then Shaivist). I think I needed to step outside the Abrahamic tradition before I came back to it with a wider understanding, less attached. Tantra Illuminated is a great book. Really gives you a deep well of knowledge. The audiobook is well worth it too. Read by Wallis.

    • @FoolishFishBooks
      @FoolishFishBooks  3 ปีที่แล้ว +7

Yes! Exactly! Getting an understanding of Tantra clears up so much of the Western tradition! It's almost as if the designers of the early 20th century Western methods expected the users to have at least a basic understanding Tantra. 🙏 I have actually bought three audiobook of tantra illuminated! It's terrific!

I’m a certified yoga teacher and my lineage is in Tantra yoga. Nine months of intense training. I will tell you…without asana you cannot open the channels. This is why magic won’t flow for magic practitioners as easily as it does for a yogi. I feel the occultists ripped off a lot of stuff from Tantra. However, what you need to know is NOT written down. It’s passed down from the spoken word of a teacher in the traditional lineage, especially if one finds the right teacher. I went through a physical, mental, emotional and spiritual training. It was bootcamp for the soul and it was extremely difficult and I had to overcome many obstacles but it was indeed transformative. I am stronger in every aspect in my life now.
The yogi masters had true psychic powers and even the ability to manifest things out of thin air but discipline is required to achieve this. Satya- truth. Yogi’s seek and speak only the truth. It’s not all love and light which most people think about yoga… it’s about overcoming the fear of death and self mastery in addition to many other rungs on the ladder… which can take many years but with the right attitude and commitment well…
The stories of the gods are like the stories from the Bible. It’s about the root of wisdom in there. Jesus spent time traveling through India. I truly believe he spent time learning Tantra yoga and these are the pages missing from the Bible and kept secret. However, yoga is for everyone. It is the seeker in you that will find the path and be led to the right teacher. I’ve been on this path for 35 years and have also studied the occult. It’s amazing seeing it all tie together now. I do plan on delving into the HOGD for my own fun to tie up the links.

I'm so glad I found your channel today. So much esoteric, confusing, shit I've almost been programmed to feel bad about learning, as if I'm doing something evil, is starting to fall into place and make sense to me. I'm truly glad I stumbled onto this today.
I like that you explain "right hand" and "left hand" equally, unbiased, without judgment. I've always been curious and leaning towards the right hand side of things, but learning about consciousness (non material) always felt fake or somehow wrong without learning both sides, and the reasons behind them, equally.

Yantra is used to visualise the energy field of a particular diety. For example, the Sri Yantra helps you visualise the mother Goddess.

Great introduction to tantra, too often misunderstood in purely sexual terms. May I also recommend Philip Rawson's The art of tantra, which is particularly illuminating on the subtle differences between Hindu and Buddhist tantra and as an introduction to Buddhist tantra in terms that westerners can more easily comprehend Rob Preece The psychology of Buddhist tantra. Reginald Ray's Secrets of the vajra world is another engaging study of Tibetan Buddhism's tantric teachings. Also, as an intiguing example of how to blend tantra and Western magickal practice, there is Sam Webster's Tantric thelema, which presents sadhanas to the main figures within thelema constructed acording to Vajrayana principles.

I’ve just discovered your channel via a Facebook group and just want to say the content is amazing and well thought out. I also like how you’ve pointed out that this is a Western lens you’re viewing some of your topics, e.g. Tantra. As of Indian origin sometimes I find the things people in the West say about Indian (Hindu, Jain, Buddhist) religions and traditions is baffling and poorly communicated or researched.

really liked this one m8. tantra is something i have not ventured into at all in any way. but it sounds very interesting, and like it could be of great benefit to someone in my position. i think that i have a bias against eastern traditions because when i 1st got into this path early in life it utterly failed me. I did a lot of study of eastern yoga and religious beliefs, and most of it just went over my head at the time, and did very little to explain or make sense of the experience i had. it actually made me feel more like what i experienced was not real due to the heavy pomposity that comes with a lot of it.
if theirs one thing I have learned with certainty (and there's not much certainty in this path imo ) its that we are unique, and our individual paths to divinity and self realization are not contained in any other persons way of doing things. Something that Terrence Mckenna said that really stuck with me and has done a lot to shape how i go about my journey these days is, that our minds, due to our experiences, form something like a labyrinth, a labyrinthine puzzle is the term he specifically used. and i took that to mean, that we are the only ones who can see what we have as far as our lives are concerned, and the experiences that brought us to this moment form a puzzle that has only one solution, and that solution can only be found by you from looking within, as your the only one who can actually see the puzzle before you. So i think that other people and books and story's can all help to give you reference points that you may be able to use to help solve the puzzle at hand, but trying to use another's "method" to unlock your personal puzzle is actually a way of creating another corridor to a dead end within this labyrinth of structures in the human psyche. and the labyrinth is vast and treacherous, and getting lost in specific corridor and path can last for years before you actually hit the dead end. so, i have begin paying attention to everything in a way that allows me to see ahead to the dead end way before i spend years going down a path that will ultimately fail. and only I can see the way to the center of my labyrinth, as it is for each of us.. IMHEO
another great video (apparently too special for public viewing lol )
Thank you m8... im on my PC so no prayer hands available but they would be right here >

Thanks as always for the thoughtful comment!
So glad you enjoyed the video! I think it's a good idea to at least know if the existence of Tantra, as the early 20th century magicians whose work is the basis of most Western magicians drew heavy inspiration from those Indian teachings, even going as far as to use the Indian terms for many aspects of the Western equivalents they were shaping.
The video will become publicly available (with ads) next Saturday 😊 getting these videos a week in advance is just one of the members' perks 😉👍

I am currently reading Modern Tantra and as someone who has been fortunate enough to be exposed to Tantra and Hinduism from an early age, I can say that Modern Tantra is one of the best books ever written on Tantra. However, the theory of Druids originating from India is something that I am a little sceptical about. I generally never recommend Tantra Books by Western Authors but Kraig's book made me re-evaluate my thinking.

Arthur Avalon (John George Woodroffe) - Serpent power (and couple of other books from him), was written in 1920. I might be wrong but as for my best knowledge he was one of the first western people who were allowed to become familiar with this tantric knowledge and make it published(his father was advocate-general in benghal, british india at time). Also its the most early western books mentioning chacras system (atleast again, for best of my knowledge). very fundamental and scientific approach, very well written. Just to add to all books mentioned above. Thq for bringing topic up. great channel, great content!

This is a really nice idea, but I'm not an expert on the HGA. I can only speculate on what the experience might be, so I'm not sure how useful a video by me could be. I can point people in the direction of people like Aaron Leitch who have successfully worked the Abramelin rite, but that's as helpful as I can be on that subject.

"Addition of worldly aims" is about needs, not wants, so higher magick.
Robert Thurman's "Essential Tibetan Buddhism" is really good. Geshe Kelsang Gyatso has released many of the higher practices for "The Completion Stage", like "Clear Light Of Bliss. There was a big uproar about that back in the '80s and some of his followers put a hit out on HHDL.
I read some of the very early translations of the sex yoga going on after Bon met Buddhism. Oy!
Death IS the "light at the end of the tunnel". After the dying you will find yourself in YOUR Shadowland. It is here where practitioners of Vajarana recite the mantra that will protect them and bring them into the Ecstasy/Joy/Bliss of Death to be Reborn to one the multitude of realms or back to this one. But if you have dealt with all your shadows, you will stand at the Threshold of Death. They have practices to develop compassion and empathy and practices for reaching out with that empathy.
All those "deities" are of course the different aspects of the Whole You, making you a "Mini Me". ;)

She is, indeed. But She is also a compassionate mother who is constantly nourishing her children. Tara's iconography sometimes portrays her as a fierce deity (Ugra Tara), but there is another part of Tara that is quite native of Bengal. In Tarapith, She is worshipped as a Mother who breastfed Lord Shiva after He consumed the poison that came from the churning of the ocean in order to protect the World. This form of Tara shows her loving, Motherly aspects. (I of course speak of Tara of Hinduism.)

It's not about sex it's about transmutation and focusing of sexual energy moving it up the body to the third eye. No ejaculation.. building the lightbody.

You have to learn Sanskrit or atleast Hindi to know much more about Indian Tantra. There are no good books available in English language. Another thing is that in English language mantras can't be pronounced properly and correctly.

I’m honestly scared of what God thinks of me like I have a feeling that magick is my path and that it is not a sin but then it’s like I keep hearing what people have to say about it to me perhaps it’s a test from God to see if I care what others think

@Andrew Swanson yup my beliefs definitely changed, the comment I made was 6 months ago but now I’m a full magick man

I’m really confused because I don’t really believe in the Bible that much but it says those who practice in magician arts will not enter the kingdom to heaven which I’m really worried about because I do magick
