Mother Hekate sent me a dream - probably the most important dream I've had ever - where there was an old man, living in a clearly obvious magickally protected house, talking to a group of teenagers, and I'll always remeber what he said: "I have re-drawn the symbol for crossroads multiple times, and it has revealed itself to me". I discovered recently through meditation that that old man was myself, later in life. The crossroads has indeed revealed itself to me as being a symbol for death, because once you pick a new road to follow, that is essentially the end of the old one. I will continue to follow the guidance of the old man, a beacon of wisdom and hope for younger generations, until I become him.
I ended my old life and began a new one, when my office reopened as the pandemic wound down, and I knew I could not return to working there. I had spent all my free time for two years immersing myself in my spirit contacts, studying mediumship and witchcraft, and beginning a memoir about it. I ended up selling most of my things and moving half way around the world to live cheaply, so I can get this work done without a day job. I do believe it's what I came here to do. 95% of the magic i have done for the last three years has been to this end, and everything is going perfectly to date, which feels like confirmation that I'm on the right path. Im literally thinking about doing this. But i have lost my intuition and my calling. How do you find your purpose? Im deeply philosophical i dont know much about magic but i want to help the world im sick of my day job i know i have the potential to make great change in some way not just donating a can of food. I just dont know how or what. Im a musician but its impossible for independent artists to make it now. What country did you go to? Ive been thinking about going to Thailand to learn their spirituality and martial arts then settle in Europe.

my only achievement in a similar idea as this video is that, i stopped being stubborn, i always meditate, focus and get an idea on what should be "right" for me to live by or like a general philosophy to follow to discover that it lacked a lot of structure and it's actually not that true but not entirely wrong, it used to exhaust me and demotivate me and nearly kill me since every single slip made me fall really hard and it usually happens like at least twice a year! feels like growth and i change A LOT but it is really tiring. now i introduced a lot of flexibility in my beliefs with a whole new vast space for mistakes, i am only 23 so i have A lot to learn and it's fine, the only issue i am facing that i am struggling with accepting society and be at peace with reality that i kept rejecting for a long time, 2020 precisely, after a major event happened to me. what i really lack is mentoring, buut i am glad that i dont have any so i don't fall in the comfort of "learning/hearing the right things" and just follow, i must learn the hard way and know it myself, it's awful but i know or at least hope it's worth it. thanks for the great video i loved it dearly

God (Higher-self, Universe, interpretation varies) makes himself available to everyone but not everyone makes themselves available to God. Of coarse that was by design through free will. Love the video and the comments section as we all have something of value to share. At the age of 55 the condense version that was explained in my 40s having come full circle is the invisible friend as a child that I'd forgotten but my siblings remember paved the way to return, although never truly leaving. It was somewhat of a massive channeling of my Higher-self that literally came in with me when I was born. But society quieted that sense of awareness until the proper moment to return had been prepared. The best way to explain the experience played out something like this. If you've ever experienced that scenario of what would you tell your younger self in the NOW in real time it's easier to understand. With this added awareness you are allowed to perceive things from a different vantage point changing one's perspective within the experience. You do literally become childlike because it creates a new curiosity that can only come from within. Even the mundane is seen through a new lens and until one experiences this it's hard to understand having to step away from all the physical details into invisible intuition. Like Glenda told Dorothy, "You've always had the power to go home, but if I told you, you wouldn't have believed me and had to experience it for yourself." Dorothy now know if she ever goes looking for her hearts desires she'll look no further than her own backyard (within). The letting go is actually what empowers us as our Higher-self will always have our best interest at heart to achieve the state of being from which it is communicating. This allows for both parties to work in tandem with one another in order to play out experiences which have already taken place without spoiling them as they add to our growth. When this state becomes your new normal you realize it's always been that way but now your listening and not just hearing. The closest thing that somewhat references this is for all my Doctor Who fans. When I got the literal "SPOILERS" is when I made the connection. Doctor Who and River Song are going through each others timeline in opposite directions and they connect many times along the way. She has a book detailing everything they do but won't allow him to see it and any time he asks about something he shouldn't know yet she says "SPOILERS". Having that happen in real time can be quite chilling and becomes quite amazing after it actually plays out. When you're in this state of flow you realize you no longer have to move mountains because the mountains already know to move and that's the magic of it as you're aware within the experience. The unexpected playing out in a deja vu moment will have you smiling for days. Funny how there is a resistance in the beginning thinking one might lose themselves not realizing you can't lose that which you really are and you're just literally working together. It doesn't make everything rainbow and roses, which would be quite boring but it's like playing a video game on NG+ with new stat options becoming available which you are now able to invest points in through new pathways of experiences opening up that would otherwise been unavailable. All this might sound crazy but your true self has perfect comedic timing and will have you laughing all the time, making you so grateful for the experience as gratitude just becomes a given. It was said in a movie "Life is tough, that's the default setting" and I say if we're not leveling up than what are we doing? No one has probably read all that but good luck to all and if you're ever given the chance to take this leap of faith I promise you, you won't regret it. You will realize that you wouldn't change one second of your life as it's gotten you to that point of reconnecting with awareness and that's when the magic happens! ❤🙏❤🙏
I lost myself a long time ago (or maybe "I abandoned myself" is more accurate) and I don't know how to find myself again. I search inwardly but all I find is emptiness, like a mansion that hasn't been inhabited for decades. I almost think my Higher Self refuses to communicate with me and/or my Will is absent/broken. I really want to know what my True Will is. I ask and there's no reply

You're not alone as it seems so many people feel this way, and my reply will probably not bring you any comfort. I'm still not sure where my path is going, but I've been making strategic life choices that will give me more flexibility in the long run. So when the time is right, I'll be able to create just about whatever kind of life I want to create...
In my mid-twenties I suddenly waked up, and the very fabric of time was dismantled around me, I saw ghost and spirits, felt energies, seen past ages and lives in my head and visions of the future, and many other things as one has just switch on the magical world switch. So I had to learn many of the things and to stabilize my self. There my learning journey begins, and I met people of many ways and traditions, read books about magick and spirits, find things in the internet and practiced a lot, so I learned ways which works for me. This was over a decade ago :)
I gasped when i saw Dolly Parton because I’ve always believed she is the perfect example of this. I know very little about magick and alchemy but I am fascinated and continue to learn. The other person that immediately comes to mind when considering someone who is truly following their path is Maynard James Keenan. They both seem to truly follow their path and are successful at it in every way. I admire them both tremendously.

I think when I started trusting myself more I was able to start making decisions that continued to make me feel happier and happier, giving myself the affirmations a person like myself would want from other people.. I think it says a lot how we bring our internal thoughts and turn them into a proxy :)
There once was a time when I believed that the "Great Work" was specifically the work of creating the Philosophers' Stone in the laboratory. Then my views changed and I found myself convinced that the Magnum Opus was solely the spiritual, inner works. It is now my understanding that the spiritual work and the laboratory work constitute what is called the Great Work. And what's fascinating to me is the true origins of the Philosophers' Stone. 🙏♥️☮

Great presentation as usual. I think I've been confused about the meaning of The Great Work in the past and this cleared it up. I think its very profound to hear you say that magick is not a path. So many magicians I meet think they have the most powerful and only path, but there are so many paths and we are all doing different work here on earth and internally. So so so many paths. @@genghisgalahad8465 While I agree that having spiritual mentors and people who can help guide you, I have found so much more power in doing my own pathworking and then throwing my ideas from intuition out to people who i consider my colleagues and friends and mentors, such as Denis from Foolish Fish and many others. The most important path will always be the unique one inside of you. Its the only one youre meant to walk down.
I went from 0 to 20 in the twinkle of an eye. At age 27, after experincing head traima, homelessness and realizing the situation i was in was dangerous. I saw everything. Dimensions changed. I felt sick and movement in my stomach. Words rearranged and I could see by see i mean understand concepts that after studying the occult are valid. I saw differently for quite some time. I traveled and it was like the deepest hell became fire. I fell into myself and for ahile the synchronities were what one would call magick. It was that extreme and changed my world view profoundly. I fell back asleep but found throughout my life when distressing or shocking perceptions strike my view, i could see. Then i met my guardian angel and i suppose experienced true gnosis. No turning back after that. Ive studied focused and let go of predjudice. Now coupled with knowledge, experience and awakened curiousity, i find myself looking for action. Online is such a tricky place to find commodity or enact plans. Well, thats about it.. that and im grateful for every challenge, pain and hardship.. very freaking grateful

I think my path is becoming clearer over time just by living my life and learning about myself while interacting with the world. There have been, however, some catalysts that seem to be working for me: a process of physical and mental minimalism that involved letting go of thoughts and possessions that I began recognizing to be hindrances in my life, and therapy to help me to see what I avoided looking at.
Very interesting timing on me seeing this video Mr. Fish. I've just begun reading (and attempting some when I feel prepared to) the alchemical workings of the HOGD as written by Chic Cicero. On top of that I've just had a long conversation of similar subject matter with a friend who I had no idea shared my interest in esotericism and the occult.
This has hit the spot. Well done. I was just thinking about my life and how things transpired. I have looked into many different religions and spiritual things with a little bit of occult on the side. Without realizing it, I have seemed to acquire tools for magick. Like a mirror, wand, tarot (wild unknown is the deck name), rune staves, and a couple of other items. Having viewed myself as 3 characters, 1 body when speaking with anything since childhood. I'm realizing now that I have been doing it all along. In the contents stated in this video, the bridge from east to west is close to being completed. I actually started divination and also doing psychedelics in a dynamic yet calm environment. I was in my home with music, a people who i knew could help me if anything went wrong and it helped me grow.
I had an amazing DMT trip a few days ago. I won't get too descriptive but the short version is I met Nuit and it felt like being reunited with a long lost love. She told me to have song in my heart and be joyful. I woke from the trip crying. I'm still trying to work out exactly what it meant. I don't think Nuit is my HGA or having song in my heart and being joyful is my true Will but it seems like a reasonable place to start.
I'm actually part of Thelema, but it is NOT my primary guidestone. My purpose is more complex and nuanced, and I learn more about it every day. Great video Sir, very enlightening.

Very good exposition of great concepts. Specially the manner in which you describe the Will. But a note of caution to the unadvised one ... Be careful with what you wish for. Consider the consequences and the impact of discovering your true Will will have in your profane world. Specially around your family circle. If you are married and have children, the realization of what is your true Will will impact everything if your partner is not aligned and/or on the same path-work. Simple concepts such as Schooling for kids, family entertainment, life objectives, everything will alter. As it was well said in this video. " Once you realize your true Will, everything else will no longer make any sense."

I hate to be the shallowest bird of the flock, but you mentioned the film "A Dark Song" and it got me thinking about if you had any further suggestions on media somewhat related to alchemy and/or magic you think hit (or just barely miss) the nail when it comes to a truthful (and hopefully entertaining) message.
For me, the most important thing, that rewards me ( I believe would serve anyone) and makes life better, is being true to others and mostly YOURSELF. If you think about everything you do and say, analyze it and ask questions "why are you doing and saying this", combined with intuiton and try hard to do the best you can, life WILL reward you. the TRUTH is the only thing that is imporant in this matrix, anything else is just a distraction that keeps you stagnant
My path with the Great Work where I started my Inner Alchemy was synonymous with a Kundalini Awakening. I’ve had to face everything that was done to me, what I had done to others… learn forgiveness, acceptance and the like. As I am seeing the beginning of my purpose unfolding (becoming a drug counselor) I’m not submerged in it yet. My heart center is just beginning to open. I would say I’m somewhere around the grade of 5=6. From my experience it’s had to say what part of the tree starts or ends really. Somewhere around Tipheret. I have just chose to walk the right hand path from this point, having just came from the left hand.
This has been a Wow moment....not least because my recent bit of Tarot study focused on alchemy (so, thank you for helping it make more sense!) I'm finding lately that spiritual practices that have come naturally from somewhere within, then later turn up in books and online content; and this feels like an affirmation that yes, I'm on the right path. Wherever that may lead.
What helped me contact my HGA was the first seven rituals from the book Mystical Words of Power. I didn't know that was the hidden purpose of those rituals but it becomes clear once you've done it enough times. You have to do them as much as possible, but it's a lot easier that the ritual of Abramelin
The ideas of using particular symbols to unlock the keys to the western or eastern mjnd is something of a dilemma for me as someone who is of mixed cultural heritage. I can feel in myself that I'm too local Chinese to really be a Westerner, but of too western a mind to identify as local Hong Konger. The cultural identity crisis is real and something that makes me feel so lost in life, not just in my magickal practice. Perhaps thats just it. I need to overcome this in order to move forward on all fronts of my life, and therefore on my path, whatever that may be. Am I excluded from both sides and magickal practices for being an abomination of contradictions? Or am I instead given more opportunity to explore than my peers? I feel like the first most of the time, but I know that's probably just internalized self hate speaking, so I'm gonna keep fighting. This strife is just another on the path perhaps. Thank you, Denis.
As a half French half Brit myself I empathise very particularly with your situation. I've actually addressed this dilemma many times in my videos. I would very much emphasise the opportunities over the obstacles. Yes, a ready-made Path may not be ideal for you, but they are ideal for so few! As you forge your own path, you have so many more options from which to draw! Never let the richness of your very special, very own, very particular mix of cultures seem like a hindrance. What hides as an inconvenience is really an incredible opportunity to grow into something that is exponentially more than just the sum of its parts (which would already be twice what can be attained by single-heritage people). It may not be a ready-made Path, but it's definitely one worth discovering! I'm very excited for you! My very best wishes to you on your way!

All I know is that I have a few holes inside of me, one that can only be filled by music, another by creative writing and the third by magick. And without these three things I cannot be myself. There was no initiation that I am aware of. I just know who I am and the yearnings of my heart.
For me it was the gateway experience guided mediation that started my journey but when I think back on it, there were a lot of things I did years before that helped without me even knowing. I often feel like my decisions had very little to do with it. I'm still trying to understand it but its very complicated and it often seems like the more I try to understand it, the further I get from the actual experience of it but I can't get my curiosity to calm down.
My story is similar to HorseLover Fat in Valis or Philip K Dick in his working of the Exegesis. Hypersensitivity, an abundance of creativity, and psychic intuition led me to the "rubber room" and I've spent the residual time figuring out what "went wrong". It's funny how sometimes topics keep getting brought up around the same time in my life, like the Gods/Universe are just like HEY PAY ATTENTION TO THIS, lol. Literally just last night I watched two videos about Marguerite Porete and Meister Eckhart, respectively, and their Christian mystic beliefs about how at some point the soul would dissolve into god, and become one, and after that they aren't doing things because of church or societal rules but just because they are now doing what god wants which is automatically the right thing to do, of course, because it's god's will. I have been doing the LBRP (Sumerian version) and Middle Pillar for many many months but have not felt changes. Is this to be continued in order to contact HGA or would you recommend something else?

About magic i would recommend austin osman spare. He was in the golden dawn with Crowley but he left the order because of a disagreement with him. I personally think spare was many levels more knowledgable than crowley was about magic. I like him because he was about simplification and not how the rest of the occult world is with their complexity doing rituals. Spare called these people fools and im sure he was speaking of crowley as well. I think the issue with understanding magic is the context we are given through movies and books. I think the best context to pair with it to first grasp the idea of it is to look at the practice of hypnotism. Hypnotism is about the mind and theory of it is the mind has 2 parts conscious and subconcious. The subconcious being unconcious but being the information center of the conscious mind. In hypnosis the key for it to work is to tap into that information center. That information center strongly reacts to things paired with emotions, and senses. So think of sigils in magic as anchors of subconscious influence. Sigils like the swastika have no meaning without context. The swastika is a great example because it has many different meanings but the most popular is the Nazi one. As we see this sigil can trigger varying emotions in people and can be a effective political tool. So can the american flag be used as a tool as we see donald trump using it; the american flag has a story behind it and that context moves people when they see that american flag. This is magic!!!! Since the hermetic philosophy has the idea everything is of the mind, this means that principles of hypnotism can thus be applied to the practice of magic or you could say practices of hypnotism are practices of magic. One thing i will say here about myself, i do not care about performing magic in controlled manner ever. Reason is because i know i would be corrupted by it and through my view of the occult orders having a common theme of "mystery;" to me this points to the conclusion they will teach lies built on top of truth and the reason for having mystery and heirarchies for obtaining knowledge in the orders are solely for taking advantage of people to use them. But like i said they are "building lies on top of truth" this does not mean you cannot get anything out of studying them. I look at magic as simply your mind and controlled setting magic is just tricks of manipulating that mind using tools like sigils, incense, idols, pictures, etc that trigger the key elements i said for hypnotism to be effective. A hypnotic state is a aware state and thats eccentually whats taught in hermeticism to be aware. Problem with being more aware is you feel more which means if you are not in a good state you will suffer far more. I guess thats the point of enlightenment to suffer but from suffering you learn what love is. So for me anything that makes it easy or sounds easy is the wrong way to go. The higher self i see as what the christain faith calls the holy spirit. This holy spirit i see as the part of your mind that speaks through FEELING and when you FEEL like you are doing something wrong and you do it anyways because its EASIER you end up destroying yourself which in turn ends up destroying the world around you. So DISCIPLINE is the main key i believe to be on the right path and that starts with listening to that holy spirit, guardian angel, or higher self thats always there. There is only one God i know exists and the others we hear of im skeptical of. I never understood those that know of the main creator wanting to get guidence of a lesser god or even an adversary of god; this is pure ignorance and i wish it was common sense to look to the one that litterally is ALL. And this idea of "worthiness" in the occult i find to be statement of their own ignorance; i would question them saying "how do you know that you yourself is worthy and if it was determined by the founder then how did he know he was worthy?" We are all worthy and i know that is the truth. We choose wether or not we ourselves decide to be worthy. And let God be the judge of that not some high ranking member of some mystery school that is most likely more lost than yourself (not speaking about you directly).
So whats EASY is hedonism and i see too much of that in the practice of magic. Rarely ever do people study magic without a hedonistical desire or egotistical desire. You might get what you want but you actually dont get what your higherself or holy spirit wants. Settle for eternity not temporary. Life is not meant to be wasted like that, but maybe it is to a extent were you learn that it is not meant to be wasted. I believe all of us are far from understanding whats true including myself that likes to search for answers. Maybe its not about searching but living in connection with that holy spirit that is always with you. Funny we search and the answer is probably right there always with you.
My "great work" will definitely be one to guide and help people but my biggest hurdle will be my ego. I can easily go into a narrcassistic state based on what i see and not being able to convince what i see to others that dont see it. Being humble was never easy for me and if i strive for being humble another demon rises being "pride." I could be prideful of being humble which is not being humble at all; Its like saying "look at me, look at how good i am." As you see thats a advertisement to be idolized and thats a disservice to the creator. Its ok to love yourself but not to extreme that leads to disillusionment.
If you ask me what i believe in i will say God. If you ask me what religion i follow i will say none but im mostly inspired by the christian God but i struggle to accept any man figure like jesus to be God in flesh due to the fact we have so many people with hedonistic desires making up false teaching or corrupting the good ones with false interpretation with out of context viewpoints. I take what i feel to be right from what i read or experience. Thats how i always will live my life and if i find the full truth and know it to be i will vow to eventually proclaim it. I know at first i will struggle not to through being fearful of proclaiming it. I know it will be tough to proclaim it due to my lack of patience with alot of people. That i will overcome and i know i will. My entire life was falling down and getting up, and that is the reason i know i will overcome anything that comes my way. But i know that i can never stand over God and i know He is the reason i ever overcame anything and why i fell down in the first place. As a little kid i always wanted the highest seat next to him and well i learned the hard way you shouldnt be like this. Serve not seek i think is the answer. Serving i see as aligning to God and there is no need to seek anything then.

This is the first time I've heard Alchemy being kinda conflated with Thelema, though clearly they share roots. I respect the amazing work Carl Jung et al contributed to that stream of The Great Work, but would H.Spencer Lewis & AMORC, Frater Albertus, and currently Robert Allen Bartlett not form part of the accurate telling of the history of Alchemy over the past 120 years or so? If indeed alchemy is really an "inner human process", as Jung stipulated, then what is alchemy for sentient Beings that are "nonhuman", as such is in my existence and experience? Does that then mean that alchemy is useless for nonhumans?
The whole “western minds are unable to be unlocked by eastern tools” thing is incorrect. There are many thousands of westerners who have in fact greatly benefited from eastern teachings and techniques, and who have dedicated their entire lives to traditions such as Buddhism, Daoism and Hinduism.

Mother Hekate sent me a dream - probably the most important dream I've had ever - where there was an old man, living in a clearly obvious magickally protected house, talking to a group of teenagers, and I'll always remeber what he said: "I have re-drawn the symbol for crossroads multiple times, and it has revealed itself to me". I discovered recently through meditation that that old man was myself, later in life. The crossroads has indeed revealed itself to me as being a symbol for death, because once you pick a new road to follow, that is essentially the end of the old one. I will continue to follow the guidance of the old man, a beacon of wisdom and hope for younger generations, until I become him.

I ended my old life and began a new one, when my office reopened as the pandemic wound down, and I knew I could not return to working there. I had spent all my free time for two years immersing myself in my spirit contacts, studying mediumship and witchcraft, and beginning a memoir about it. I ended up selling most of my things and moving half way around the world to live cheaply, so I can get this work done without a day job. I do believe it's what I came here to do. 95% of the magic i have done for the last three years has been to this end, and everything is going perfectly to date, which feels like confirmation that I'm on the right path. Im literally thinking about doing this. But i have lost my intuition and my calling. How do you find your purpose? Im deeply philosophical i dont know much about magic but i want to help the world im sick of my day job i know i have the potential to make great change in some way not just donating a can of food. I just dont know how or what. Im a musician but its impossible for independent artists to make it now. What country did you go to? Ive been thinking about going to Thailand to learn their spirituality and martial arts then settle in Europe.

my only achievement in a similar idea as this video is that, i stopped being stubborn, i always meditate, focus and get an idea on what should be "right" for me to live by or like a general philosophy to follow to discover that it lacked a lot of structure and it's actually not that true but not entirely wrong, it used to exhaust me and demotivate me and nearly kill me since every single slip made me fall really hard and it usually happens like at least twice a year! feels like growth and i change A LOT but it is really tiring. now i introduced a lot of flexibility in my beliefs with a whole new vast space for mistakes, i am only 23 so i have A lot to learn and it's fine, the only issue i am facing that i am struggling with accepting society and be at peace with reality that i kept rejecting for a long time, 2020 precisely, after a major event happened to me. what i really lack is mentoring, buut i am glad that i dont have any so i don't fall in the comfort of "learning/hearing the right things" and just follow, i must learn the hard way and know it myself, it's awful but i know or at least hope it's worth it. thanks for the great video i loved it dearly

God (Higher-self, Universe, interpretation varies) makes himself available to everyone but not everyone makes themselves available to God. Of coarse that was by design through free will. Love the video and the comments section as we all have something of value to share. At the age of 55 the condense version that was explained in my 40s having come full circle is the invisible friend as a child that I'd forgotten but my siblings remember paved the way to return, although never truly leaving. It was somewhat of a massive channeling of my Higher-self that literally came in with me when I was born. But society quieted that sense of awareness until the proper moment to return had been prepared. The best way to explain the experience played out something like this.
If you've ever experienced that scenario of what would you tell your younger self in the NOW in real time it's easier to understand. With this added awareness you are allowed to perceive things from a different vantage point changing one's perspective within the experience. You do literally become childlike because it creates a new curiosity that can only come from within. Even the mundane is seen through a new lens and until one experiences this it's hard to understand having to step away from all the physical details into invisible intuition. Like Glenda told Dorothy, "You've always had the power to go home, but if I told you, you wouldn't have believed me and had to experience it for yourself." Dorothy now know if she ever goes looking for her hearts desires she'll look no further than her own backyard (within).
The letting go is actually what empowers us as our Higher-self will always have our best interest at heart to achieve the state of being from which it is communicating. This allows for both parties to work in tandem with one another in order to play out experiences which have already taken place without spoiling them as they add to our growth. When this state becomes your new normal you realize it's always been that way but now your listening and not just hearing.
The closest thing that somewhat references this is for all my Doctor Who fans. When I got the literal "SPOILERS" is when I made the connection. Doctor Who and River Song are going through each others timeline in opposite directions and they connect many times along the way. She has a book detailing everything they do but won't allow him to see it and any time he asks about something he shouldn't know yet she says "SPOILERS". Having that happen in real time can be quite chilling and becomes quite amazing after it actually plays out. When you're in this state of flow you realize you no longer have to move mountains because the mountains already know to move and that's the magic of it as you're aware within the experience. The unexpected playing out in a deja vu moment will have you smiling for days.
Funny how there is a resistance in the beginning thinking one might lose themselves not realizing you can't lose that which you really are and you're just literally working together. It doesn't make everything rainbow and roses, which would be quite boring but it's like playing a video game on NG+ with new stat options becoming available which you are now able to invest points in through new pathways of experiences opening up that would otherwise been unavailable. All this might sound crazy but your true self has perfect comedic timing and will have you laughing all the time, making you so grateful for the experience as gratitude just becomes a given. It was said in a movie "Life is tough, that's the default setting" and I say if we're not leveling up than what are we doing? No one has probably read all that but good luck to all and if you're ever given the chance to take this leap of faith I promise you, you won't regret it. You will realize that you wouldn't change one second of your life as it's gotten you to that point of reconnecting with awareness and that's when the magic happens! ❤🙏❤🙏

I lost myself a long time ago (or maybe "I abandoned myself" is more accurate) and I don't know how to find myself again. I search inwardly but all I find is emptiness, like a mansion that hasn't been inhabited for decades. I almost think my Higher Self refuses to communicate with me and/or my Will is absent/broken. I really want to know what my True Will is. I ask and there's no reply

You're not alone as it seems so many people feel this way, and my reply will probably not bring you any comfort. I'm still not sure where my path is going, but I've been making strategic life choices that will give me more flexibility in the long run. So when the time is right, I'll be able to create just about whatever kind of life I want to create...
In my mid-twenties I suddenly waked up, and the very fabric of time was dismantled around me, I saw ghost and spirits, felt energies, seen past ages and lives in my head and visions of the future, and many other things as one has just switch on the magical world switch. So I had to learn many of the things and to stabilize my self. There my learning journey begins, and I met people of many ways and traditions, read books about magick and spirits, find things in the internet and practiced a lot, so I learned ways which works for me. This was over a decade ago :)

I gasped when i saw Dolly Parton because I’ve always believed she is the perfect example of this. I know very little about magick and alchemy but I am fascinated and continue to learn. The other person that immediately comes to mind when considering someone who is truly following their path is Maynard James Keenan. They both seem to truly follow their path and are successful at it in every way. I admire them both tremendously.

I think when I started trusting myself more I was able to start making decisions that continued to make me feel happier and happier, giving myself the affirmations a person like myself would want from other people.. I think it says a lot how we bring our internal thoughts and turn them into a proxy :)
There once was a time when I believed that the "Great Work" was specifically the work of creating the Philosophers' Stone in the laboratory. Then my views changed and I found myself convinced that the Magnum Opus was solely the spiritual, inner works.
It is now my understanding that the spiritual work and the laboratory work constitute what is called the Great Work. And what's fascinating to me is the true origins of the Philosophers' Stone. 🙏♥️☮
Tho we are all from different parts of the world with diverse backgrounds and beliefs it is so comforting to know through our personal struggles, our own perceptions and small inner triumphs we have a comforting similarity and common bond which can be undefinable but gives our lives meaning and purpose to work towards our Great work

Great presentation as usual. I think I've been confused about the meaning of The Great Work in the past and this cleared it up. I think its very profound to hear you say that magick is not a path. So many magicians I meet think they have the most powerful and only path, but there are so many paths and we are all doing different work here on earth and internally. So so so many paths. Magick has always led me to paths outside of itself, like a compass that helps guide me when i pull it out of my pocket.

I went from 0 to 20 in the twinkle of an eye. At age 27, after experincing head traima, homelessness and realizing the situation i was in was dangerous. I saw everything. Dimensions changed. I felt sick and movement in my stomach. Words rearranged and I could see by see i mean understand concepts that after studying the occult are valid. I saw differently for quite some time. I traveled and it was like the deepest hell became fire. I fell into myself and for ahile the synchronities were what one would call magick. It was that extreme and changed my world view profoundly. I fell back asleep but found throughout my life when distressing or shocking perceptions strike my view, i could see. Then i met my guardian angel and i suppose experienced true gnosis. No turning back after that. Ive studied focused and let go of predjudice. Now coupled with knowledge, experience and awakened curiousity, i find myself looking for action. Online is such a tricky place to find commodity or enact plans. Well, thats about it.. that and im grateful for every challenge, pain and hardship.. very freaking grateful

I think my path is becoming clearer over time just by living my life and learning about myself while interacting with the world. There have been, however, some catalysts that seem to be working for me: a process of physical and mental minimalism that involved letting go of thoughts and possessions that I began recognizing to be hindrances in my life, and therapy to help me to see what I avoided looking at.

Like a mirror, wand, tarot (wild unknown is the deck name), rune staves, and a couple of other items. Having viewed myself as 3 characters, 1 body when speaking with anything since childhood. I'm realizing now that I have been doing it all along. In the contents stated in this video, the bridge from east to west is close to being completed. Granted this was back in 2014
I had an amazing DMT trip a few days ago. I won't get too descriptive but the short version is I met Nuit and it felt like being reunited with a long lost love. She told me to have song in my heart and be joyful. I woke from the trip crying. I'm still trying to work out exactly what it meant. I don't think Nuit is my HGA or having song in my heart and being joyful is my true Will but it seems like a reasonable place to start.

Very good exposition of great concepts. Specially the manner in which you describe the Will. But a note of caution to the unadvised one ... Be careful with what you wish for. Consider the consequences and the impact of discovering your true Will will have in your profane world. Specially around your family circle. If you are married and have children, the realization of what is your true Will will impact everything if your partner is not aligned and/or on the same path-work. Simple concepts such as Schooling for kids, family entertainment, life objectives, everything will alter. As it was well said in this video. " Once you realize your true Will, everything else will no longer make any sense."

My path with the Great Work where I started my Inner Alchemy was synonymous with a Kundalini Awakening. I’ve had to face everything that was done to me, what I had done to others… learn forgiveness, acceptance and the like. As I am seeing the beginning of my purpose unfolding (becoming a drug counselor) I’m not submerged in it yet. My heart center is just beginning to open. I would say I’m somewhere around the grade of 5=6. From my experience it’s had to say what part of the tree starts or ends really. Somewhere around Tipheret. I have just chose to walk the right hand path from this point, having just came from the left hand.

The ideas of using particular symbols to unlock the keys to the western or eastern mjnd is something of a dilemma for me as someone who is of mixed cultural heritage. I can feel in myself that I'm too local Chinese to really be a Westerner, but of too western a mind to identify as local Hong Konger. The cultural identity crisis is real and something that makes me feel so lost in life, not just in my magickal practice. Perhaps thats just it. I need to overcome this in order to move forward on all fronts of my life, and therefore on my path, whatever that may be. Am I excluded from both sides and magickal practices for being an abomination of contradictions? Or am I instead given more opportunity to explore than my peers? I feel like the first most of the time, but I know that's probably just internalized self hate speaking, so I'm gonna keep fighting. This strife is just another on the path perhaps. Thank you, Denis.
As a half French half Brit myself I empathise very particularly with your situation. I've actually addressed this dilemma many times in my videos. I would very much emphasise the opportunities over the obstacles. Yes, a ready-made Path may not be ideal for you, but they are ideal for so few! As you forge your own path, you have so many more options from which to draw! Never let the richness of your very special, very own, very particular mix of cultures seem like a hindrance. What hides as an inconvenience is really an incredible opportunity to grow into something that is exponentially more than just the sum of its parts (which would already be twice what can be attained by single-heritage people).

All I know is that I have a few holes inside of me, one that can only be filled by music, another by creative writing and the third by magick. And without these three things I cannot be myself. There was no initiation that I am aware of. I just know who I am and the yearnings of my heart.
For me it was the gateway experience guided mediation that started my journey but when I think back on it, there were a lot of things I did years before that helped without me even knowing. I often feel like my decisions had very little to do with it. I'm still trying to understand it but its very complicated and it often seems like the more I try to understand it, the further I get from the actual experience of it but I can't get my curiosity to calm down.

It's funny how sometimes topics keep getting brought up around the same time in my life, like the Gods/Universe are just like HEY PAY ATTENTION TO THIS, lol. Literally just last night I watched two videos about Marguerite Porete and Meister Eckhart, respectively, and their Christian mystic beliefs about how at some point the soul would dissolve into god, and become one, and after that they aren't doing things because of church or societal rules but just because they are now doing what god wants which is automatically the right thing to do, of course, because it's god's will. I have been doing the LBRP (Sumerian version) and Middle Pillar for many many months but have not felt changes. Is this to be continued in order to contact HGA or would you recommend something else?

About magic i would recommend austin osman spare. He was in the golden dawn with Crowley but he left the order because of a disagreement with him. I personally think spare was many levels more knowledgable than crowley was about magic. I like him because he was about simplification and not how the rest of the occult world is with their complexity doing rituals. Spare called these people fools and im sure he was speaking of crowley as well.
I think the issue with understanding magic is the context we are given through movies and books. I think the best context to pair with it to first grasp the idea of it is to look at the practice of hypnotism. Hypnotism is about the mind and theory of it is the mind has 2 parts conscious and subconcious. The subconcious being unconcious but being the information center of the conscious mind. In hypnosis the key for it to work is to tap into that information center. That information center strongly reacts to things paired with emotions, and senses. So think of sigils in magic as anchors of subconscious influence. Sigils like the swastika have no meaning without context. The swastika is a great example because it has many different meanings but the most popular is the Nazi one. As we see this sigil can trigger varying emotions in people and can be a effective political tool. So can the american flag be used as a tool as we see donald trump using it; the american flag has a story behind it and that context moves people when they see that american flag. This is magic!!!!
Since the hermetic philosophy has the idea everything is of the mind, this means that principles of hypnotism can thus be applied to the practice of magic or you could say practices of hypnotism are practices of magic.
One thing i will say here about myself, i do not care about performing magic in controlled manner ever. Reason is because i know i would be corrupted by it and through my view of the occult orders having a common theme of "mystery;" to me this points to the conclusion they will teach lies built on top of truth and the reason for having mystery and heirarchies for obtaining knowledge in the orders are solely for taking advantage of people to use them.
But like i said they are "building lies on top of truth" this does not mean you cannot get anything out of studying them.
I look at magic as simply your mind and controlled setting magic is just tricks of manipulating that mind using tools like sigils, incense, idols, pictures, etc that trigger the key elements i said for hypnotism to be effective. A hypnotic state is a aware state and thats eccentually whats taught in hermeticism to be aware. Problem with being more aware is you feel more which means if you are not in a good state you will suffer far more. I guess thats the point of enlightenment to suffer but from suffering you learn what love is.
So for me anything that makes it easy or sounds easy is the wrong way to go. The higher self i see as what the christain faith calls the holy spirit. This holy spirit i see as the part of your mind that speaks through FEELING and when you FEEL like you are doing something wrong and you do it anyways because its EASIER you end up destroying yourself which in turn ends up destroying the world around you.
So DISCIPLINE is the main key i believe to be on the right path and that starts with listening to that holy spirit, guardian angel, or higher self thats always there.
There is only one God i know exists and the others we hear of im skeptical of. I never understood those that know of the main creator wanting to get guidence of a lesser god or even an adversary of god; this is pure ignorance and i wish it was common sense to look to the one that litterally is ALL. And this idea of "worthiness" in the occult i find to be statement of their own ignorance; i would question them saying "how do you know that you yourself is worthy and if it was determined by the founder then how did he know he was worthy?"
We are all worthy and i know that is the truth. We choose wether or not we ourselves decide to be worthy. And let God be the judge of that not some high ranking member of some mystery school that is most likely more lost than yourself (not speaking about you directly).
So whats EASY is hedonism and i see too much of that in the practice of magic. Rarely ever do people study magic without a hedonistical desire or egotistical desire. You might get what you want but you actually dont get what your higherself or holy spirit wants. Settle for eternity not temporary. Life is not meant to be wasted like that, but maybe it is to a extent were you learn that it is not meant to be wasted.
I believe all of us are far from understanding whats true including myself that likes to search for answers. Maybe its not about searching but living in connection with that holy spirit that is always with you. Funny we search and the answer is probably right there always with you.
My "great work" will definitely be one to guide and help people but my biggest hurdle will be my ego. I can easily go into a narrcassistic state based on what i see and not being able to convince what i see to others that dont see it. Being humble was never easy for me and if i strive for being humble another demon rises being "pride." I could be prideful of being humble which is not being humble at all; Its like saying "look at me, look at how good i am." As you see thats a advertisement to be idolized and thats a disservice to the creator. Its ok to love yourself but not to extreme that leads to disillusionment.
If you ask me what i believe in i will say God. If you ask me what religion i follow i will say none but im mostly inspired by the christian God but i struggle to accept any man figure like jesus to be God in flesh due to the fact we have so many people with hedonistic desires making up false teaching or corrupting the good ones with false interpretation with out of context viewpoints. I take what i feel to be right from what i read or experience. Thats how i always will live my life and if i find the full truth and know it to be i will vow to eventually proclaim it. I know at first i will struggle not to through being fearful of proclaiming it. I know it will be tough to proclaim it due to my lack of patience with alot of people. That i will overcome and i know i will. My entire life was falling down and getting up, and that is the reason i know i will overcome anything that comes my way. But i know that i can never stand over God and i know He is the reason i ever overcame anything and why i fell down in the first place. As a little kid i always wanted the highest seat next to him and well i learned the hard way you shouldnt be like this. Serve not seek i think is the answer. Serving i see as aligning to God and there is no need to seek anything then.
Final note to what i last said "serve not seek". Funny if i do my life path number (numerology) im a 7 being a seeker.
The holy guardian angel ,or higher self ,is the godhead ,meaning the father ,the son and the Holy Spirit .

I respect the amazing work Carl Jung et al contributed to that stream of The Great Work, but would H.Spencer Lewis & AMORC, Frater Albertus, and currently Robert Allen Bartlett not form part of the accurate telling of the history of Alchemy over the past 120 years or so? If indeed alchemy is really an "inner human process", as Jung stipulated, then what is alchemy for sentient Beings that are "nonhuman", as such is in my existence and experience? Does that then mean that alchemy is useless for nonhumans?
The whole “western minds are unable to be unlocked by eastern tools” thing is incorrect. There are many thousands of westerners who have in fact greatly benefited from eastern teachings and techniques, and who have dedicated their entire lives to traditions such as Buddhism, Daoism and Hinduism.
I'm trying to reach that point.
