  • Shakta Tantra is one of the most powerful systems of upasana present within Dharma, focused on the worship of Shakti. However, people have various misconceptions regarding this path due to lack of understanding and knowledge. The speaker, Rajarshi Nandy, discusses the foundational structure of Shakta tantra as practiced today and addresses some related questions.

140 years ago Nepal was attacked by 40000 Chinese solders , they were 23 km away from Kathmandu the power Center. Next day thousands of solders jumped in a he river. Finally Chinese offer a treaty with Nepal and signed a treaty will never attack Nepal and paid 10000 currency every year. This is the beauty of Tantric country Nepal.

Don't know about others but in my view Every Shiv sadhak at some point of his life has to do upasana of Adishakti, you can't avoid your mother and only learn from ur father, father makes you strong, guides you become what you want to become... But without her love and compassion you can't get there. Shivas love is like rays of the sun, and durga maa is like the plants, trees, water, moon etc. The earth itself is her manifestation. We are like small shivas getting birth on this earth called durga, not only here but other planets are also her manifestation. Right now I am trying to understand the relation of advait and shiva(I think shiva in his nirgun form is what vedantins refer to as Advait) and prakriti (earth, planets, and other galaxies) and durga (mahamaya).

We say Shiv-Shakti or Bhavam-Bhavani. No Shiva without Shakti and no Shakti without Shiva. And it comes from the principle of advaita.

Shiva is about stability to attain Shakti and the Shakti is of course, Shakti or power itself. Not the gender ideals of love and compassion, which is logically gender independent.

27:46. Of course, you need to approach a specific deity to fulfil a specific desire. How can Saraswati Ma help you win a war? Do you go to a gynecologist if you have a heart attack or to a dentist if you have cardiac issues? Just as each doctor specialises in their profession, each deity is approached for what they are meant for. Hindus have deities for each and every type of problem

In this video Śaivācārya Sthaneshwar Timalsina offers an introductory talk on Tantra to a young audience with no previous knowledge about it. He offers us a tour through the central categories of the tantric tradition, like mantras, maṇḍalas and deities. A topic that is also discussed is the relevance of Tantra regarding our contemporary understanding of the world, since it emphasizes the importance of recognising our innate freedom and the search for our essential nature.

I am not into tantric way of life. I listened to this talk as a layman and realised the depth of the subject. Nandyji said that people do upasana to a deity and are still worried about why negative things happen to their culture, religion, etc at about 30 minutes into the talk and one should rise above this. I have same question as a layman. Looking around in today's time I feel Sanatan Dharma is again getting into a difficult time. Nandiji please let me know, is Sanatan Dharma going to end because it has been under attack for centuries and the onslaught is happening again now even in our own country. Another thing is areas like Afganistan and Saudi which were a strong hold of Shivaism turned to Islam, then what is going to happen to other areas considering that both these countries must have had a very strong urja so for them to fall does not give a very positive feeling. I hope you respond.

    2. At 27.40 it's said every god have have specific area that they govern. Can we have a interview/is there any book which explains the areas of all the gods?

I live in Himachal Pradesh , a town here in District Mandi, Karsog. Maa Bhagwati in the form of Devi Kamaksha is our local deity and as per my knowledge about the temples of Devi , one is in the east side , Assam called Kamakhya , in the south is called Kamakshi , and here in the Himalayas maa aadishakti is in the form of Kamaksha . So it's the aadishakti and I feel very blessed and lucky to be born here . Jai Mata Kamaksha 🕉️🙏

Having said that its important these platforms avoid switching between English and Hindi in talks and stick to one language which can be dubbed or subtitled in the other later.

NOT a single "internationally" renowned sadhaka spoke hindi windy. Why don't you learn THEIR mother tongue??! PRODUCE some rational / sensible mind from bimaaru community then...you could NEVER. @@joannapinkiewicz6756 Evidences r there. N if u hv studied history, u must be knowing from whom Buddha learnt all this. It was king Ashoka who did missionary work. So morally u shud credit those who actually developed it. Yes after Buddhist learnt it they passed on this knowledge to generations but calling it Buddhist technique is like stealing sm1's hard earned treasure. Our ancestors were never good in marketing. Even china credit India in bringing martial art to China, but we only got to know that martial art has its origin in India ,' Kalaripayattu'

Don't know what is right /wrong and whom to believe any longer. Too many people with big egos, dissing each other . some intentionally giving half cooked info or wrong info to satisfy their ego. Better to go to source in Sanskrit but that is not possible as we modern day people don't understand Sanskrit. I wish there was authentic source of vedic and tantra shastra true to it's root and sanctioned by shankracharyaji or tantra masters
