This inspired me to get my Strat out of the "trash can" and use it last night at the "Live" show for the 1st in 4 years & I am glad I did;) I so enjoyed this "chordal progression" with a slight "swing meets blues" interpretation of melodic phrasing you performed including the "purposeful over-shot" bend at 3:44! These "self-created" loops are so incredibly valuable for us guitar pickers to "hear" someone "create & perform" their "musical ideas"...especially these "Practice Loops"...for any one of the musical ideas/phrases that we "find" thru "exploring within the practice" becomes a "bullet in the soloing gun" for later when necessary in a "final performance". Excellent tonal translation from "fingers to guitar to effects"...beautifully clean & very "analog";) And using a pick;) Keep them coming my talented Brother Darren...these are wonderful;) Our love and prayers to you both and your family and friends;)

My favourite neck pickup tone is in the Strat. And although the Strat bridge pickup can sound a bit strident vs a tele, you can fatten up that bridge pickup by using a GE-7 and boosting and/or cutting some frequencies a little and kick it on when switching to that bridge pickup. Maybe still not a tele bridge pickup because of its design and being mounted in the bridge and stuff but definitely more useable with a little added EQ. I’m glad that players like Steuart Smith has used the Strat for country music for many years with the likes of Rodney Crowell and Rosanne Cash just to show that it’s capable of the task. I’ve often thought of having a hardtail Strat made with the Tele bridge and bridge pickup and the rest of it all Strat. Cheers my friend and blessings to you both! Talk soon!
