Considering how Nolan planned to kill Royce's group to steal their supplies, and judging also by the large variety of weapons and equipment he had in his lair, I don't think he even killed any predator by himself as he claimed, I think other humans or animals killed them in first place and then the oportunist bastard just ambushed or set a trap to the survivors, killing them and scavenging the Predator armor parts and weapons

Its a movie, not something you think up. You are Kidnapped, wake up falling from the sky, with people / animals you've never seen on a planet you have no idea where its at with a sky you've never seen. Being hunter by unknown beings with active camo hi tech weapons and the capability to rip your head and spine out of your body. WTF do you think you're going to do in nolans place? The face the Predator didn't even try to fight Nolan is proof that he killed other predators, because he didn't even want to fight him, he just wanted someone that outsmarted him and his other predators, dead.

What a great cast, especially for 2010, I REALLY, REALLY, hope prey does well enough that they look back at this and realize how much MORE there could be with a second, I mean, they LITERALLY have "over the horizon" to expand with going forward for a sequel.

He survived 10 years killing some predators and when he finally had the chance to escape, he uses all of them as bait and doesn't even use that Helmet out of sheer stupidity, at least make a trophy out of him.

He's a scavenger, it's likely that he'd never killed any predator before, he just scavenged what's left of other predators and humans that died on that planet. In his own words from the movie, he's just the one who got away. Hence his trophy probably isn't worth to collect.

Sad Noland not a team player, they could have get the better edge against the Predators if he team up. For someone who survived 10 predator hunting season, wasted death.
Its the dilemma of survivng as a group vs surviving alone, in this case surviving alone prob was the better choice to him. Being a group means more force yes, but it also makes you more nosy and noticable, a group also needs more supplies and gear to survive, which also means more scavenging which means more chances to be caught out. Being alone(or a much smaller group) would mean you can move more quietly, less resources are taken up and its easier to hide
he was a scavenger, he probably had not fought a single fight during his time in the planet, considering how he wanted to kill Royce's group to steal their supplies, it's likely he didn't even kill the predators he claimed by himself

But unfortunately the fact that he knows how to use those Predator equipments he stole should be used against the Predators to get the better edge. His knowledge on setting traps and survival proved successful when teamed up like he did with Drake, but the later died because of a disagreement which caused them to go separate ways. For him, surviving is more important than fighting back. If he wanted to go on the survival path, being alone is better. But if he wanted to take the fight back, more soldiers the better.
See... why wasn't he a trophy for escaping and surviving so long? He had their technology and wore a mask for Frik sake. He was just splattered like he didn't matter and the others were more of a prize? No. He deserved more honor than that.
That's the main idea of this movie - these 3 are bad blood, almost all of them dont give shit about honor (except the one who dueled on swords and died like a warrior)

Because the Predator wanted the kills, and probably was going to make him a trophy regardless it didn't seem like his skull was exploded just rest of him. He had them trapped and the smoke was going to kill them anyways.

Laurence Fishburne is a great actor and deserved more protagonism. I believe the director wasted some of his coins here. No one expected him to die that way...since he survived many seasons, he would be smarter. Anyway, that movie is cool!

Protagonism? No. He was a plant in the "test, allies, enemies," phase of the heroes journey. Appearing to be an ally to the protagonist, he turned out to be a foil for the antagonist, and in doing so is eliminated from the story. It's a formula hollywood follows when they manufacture their movies.

My theory is that the Super Predators are bad blood not because they don't have honor because they still do collect trophies sometimes and sometimes engage in fair fights but they have simply evolved to give dangerous prey less chance of killing them learning from the mistakes of Predators from the first two movies...

Perhaps Roland had gone waaaaay too far on surviving this planet for that long, and now he gets blown to pieces by his own prey.

You gotta realize. Why they didn’t Roland as trophy. One: they are bad bloods or maybe different species of yautja. This movie almost reminds of midnight sun predator book. Where there was two species of yautja (or predator). One was more advance in tech and weaponary. But cared less for honor and killed what they what and took trophies if they want. They were cold killers. Compared to yautja we are used too. Tech is decent. But they had honor. And only killed those who were armed or worthy in combat. And took trophies of those who who worth it. But these ones seemed like the other species. So they killed Roland maybe because he had been a nuisance to them and that they had no honor. They found a target and just wanted to kill him.
All very plausible, and acceptable, but I still think it probably had a lot to do with lazy writing, budget and time constraints.

You got it a bit backwards in one regard; while Bad Bloods are much more volatile due to their rejection of the Yautja code of honor, they tend to have outdated tech compared to non-Bad Bloods. Yautja who abide by the code have access to the latest technology available to them due to being a part of the Yautja civilization as a whole, while Bad Bloods are much smaller clans that do their own thing with whatever tech they have available

Super predators care more about their pinky toe, than they do trophies and honour codes.
Now after the release of 'Prey'; I hope the next pred movie will be about the factions of preds. The classic jungle hunters vs feral vs berserker super vs the enhanced one.

My guess is that the damaged shipped must have belonged to the Captive Yautja.
Roland betrayed them do to insanity, and having to feed like 6 more people would shorten whatever food supply he had left. He barely has enough food to feed himself and his imaginary friend.

Why did Ronald betray them?
For two reasons:
1. He's insane
2. Too many mouths to feed
He wanted their gear, he was a scavenger. Being alive for so many year he must’ve realized allying with a group slows you down. Sharing food, being too loud and even worse forming attachments make you more likely to die.
I still think it was stupid he didn’t wear his gear in the event they broke out before killing them and also it was dumb he was killed off so soon without fighting the bad bloods

The predators captured them and dropped them onto the planet to hunt the most violent or dangerous predators from other planets. Nolan wanted their gear, weapons armor, food etc.
So who opened the doorfor them?
The predator did. The reason why is group couldn’t open it without its help and only “helped” them so that predator and the other two can kill them later on.
