It is true that there are a few shots in the movie that looks weak because of CGI, but the movie is impresive in terms of scope, ambition and direction. It has two of the best action sequence that I have ever seen.
I love that Miller is still directing these
People bitching about the CGI completely forget that Fury Road hardly made a profit because it was one of the most expensive movies made to date, all because it was completely done in practical effects. The CGI doesn't look that bad and I hardly noticed it throughout the rest of the film. This movie fucks, and you should watch it.

Some CGI looks very "clear" and strange ..just something wrong here and there. I do hope the movie will be good, but....( Edit:I have seen A movie- was ok :) )

@@holeindanssock156 it doesn't seem like a cash grab at all. It's Miller's passion project and if he wanted to play things safe he wouldn't have done a prequel story that doesn't even involve Mad Max. It took 9 years to make this work, there's too much effort involved all around.
Cash grabs are low effort and take low risks. Miller is taking too many high risks with this one and it's unlikely to pay off. Plus Fury Road didn't do particularly great at the box office in spite of the obscenely high quality the movie was, though it got tons of 2nd wind with Blu-Ray sales and all that, but this movie's going to suffer from being a prequel, post-Covid box office and less potential ancillary profits from physical media and streaming.

Absolutely loved this movie! If I had to rate it, It'd be my 3rd favourite Mad Max film (between Road Warrior and Thunderdome).
Great film saw it on friday ,people need to remember this is not a mad max movie , its in the same universe but not the same movie ,furiosa was great in fury road nobody complained, here she kicks ass and everyone is crying feminine power , get over it ,

He’s in it, you gotta realize this is a spinoff about a character people like just as much as Max, he’s not being replaced, it wouldn’t make any sense for him to have a larger role in this film since they don’t meet until Fury Road.
Like just as much as Max? I'm not sure if they average movie goer would know who Furiosa is.. but they for sure know who Max Max is.
This is just a cash grab DEI festival.

So much moaning about CGI before anyone has seen the film, or as if Fury Road wasn’t full of it as well.
Haven’t seen one legitimate review complaining about it.
When Fury Road came out there was a slew of press & promo material that had some unfinished shots, for example stunt equipment being left unedited out. Was that in the final cut? Not at all.
George Miller also stated that Furiosa’s editing was just finished like two weeks ago, so we know the footage we’re seeing here isn’t 100% finished. But it still looks perfectly fine to me.
@@ultraviolet540 Saw the movie a couple of hours ago and some CGI is visible, but it’s not distracting and personally I’d rather have CGI here and there than have stuntmen die in crazy stunts.
The movie’s a slap in the face of modern Hollywood, just as much as Fury Road was in 2015.
just saw it and there was a few seconds of noticable cgi that was slighty disracting but the movie was so amazing and grand it outshined those minor flaws.

I already dont like the person who replaced Hugh Keays-Byrne as Immortan. I know Hugh is gone but the new guys voice is so off.
Lachy Hulme was adamant about honoring Hugh Keays-Byrne’s legacy, I trust his judgement. Also keep in mind that he’s way younger here. Like 20+ years difference between Fury Road.

Forty years ago, if there were social media yet also trolling and flaming because these kind of people don't have a life and if someone touch their old good movies, trying to make new ones, soon starts the grudge even if follow up are made by original authors. George Lucas had never so much hate because he made new movies, Disney sucks because is Disney and so on. With the right of mutual opinion, just please go and see the movie first. Then talk.
@@amedeobazar9423 there's nothing wrong with judging from trailers. That's kind of their entire purpose actually. And we've all watched pretty much every franchise get infested with current day politics and ruined so people are wary about that and there's a lot of signs of diminished quality here. They don't want to waste their money.

whilst working the set of fury road, the air was thick with random quotes from mad max, the road warrior, and beyond the thunderdome...
whilst working the set of furiosa, they got pretty well much an entire new production crew that gave blank stares when faced with lines such as "better call a meat wagon, he's copped a saucepan to the throat..."
as the last few remaining originals liked to say... "that aint goose in there..."
will forever watch the originals with mel.

I was a child when Miller & Kennedy released Mad Max I and II. And those were exciting and frightening times.
Not only did the first two movies scare the bedickens out of me, they taught me valuable life lessons.
Mad Max I and II taught me, and others, how to overcome adversity and face our antagonists head on.
However, these last two Maxploitation films have taught, at least taught me that if you own something, you truly can destroy it.
