I’m not a fan of blue. Blue is my son’s favorite color so I put some pulls on his jacket and backpack.
Nice, Tim. I use bank line or smaller diameter paracord to replace worn or torn off zipper pulls. After I make the new zipper pulls, I take about 8 inches of 8 pound monofilament fishing line or thread and thread one end of this through the hole on the zipper. Next, I take that end and thread it through the zipper pull loop and back through the zipper hole. I then pull the zipper pull loop through the hole on the zipper. Then, I draw the zipper loop knot through the loop on the other side and tighten it up.so there is no slack.
Another way would be to tie the smaller diameter line to the bigger diameter line with a temporary knot and pull it through the hole in the zipper. Undo the knot or cut it. Then, proceed to make your zipper pull.

Thank you for taking the time to watch! Some of the zipper pulls seem to go on easier than others... But once you've done a few it gets easier. I've been putting them on all my Vanquest pouches. So far so good. 👍😁

These look interesting how do they compare to the similar maxpedition pulls? I like them myself and i usually squeeze them down and get as much of the loop as possible through before pushing it through the loop.
I honestly don't know, I'm not a fan of Maxpedition. The quality control is always top notch at Vanquest which is why they're usually my go to brand.
Easier way to get the cord through would be to use an ordinary twist tie you get with any cord and thread that through the zipper hole...then wrap it through the cord on the pull and back through the zipper hole...then pull it and the pull cord through the zipper...

Absolutely. I'll take anything from Vanquest over a Maxpedition product any day... Even zipper pulls. 🙂
What do think of the 500-d fabric on vanquests stuff compared to maxpeditions 1000-d offerings?
Maxpedition just uses nylon by no particular brand and the quality control isn't very good in my opinion. Years ago I'd get two packs, both the same color but very different shades. I'll take a Vanquest product using Cordora brand nylon any day over a Maxpedition product.

@@GearReviewDepot come to think of it I've had stitching come loose on a couple of their products once in a important place.
Unfortunately, my love of Vanquest has lost some of its luster. My Mobius V-Packer (a little over 1 year old) has stitching coming undone on the flap. I haven't been able to get any response from customer service to my emails. I've even tried contacting them on Facebook, nothing. I'm really getting disappointed with their service. I hope that their quality isn't going downhill, too.
Fortunately I've had very good luck with every Vanquest item I own. I'm sorry you're having an issue getting a response, they watch my videos, hopefully they'll see your comment.
@@GearReviewDepot I've always had good luck with Vanquest products, too. I own many and this is the first time I've had any issue with one. I was actually surprised by it. Being that this is the first product that's had an issue, it's also my first time contacting customer support. I'm not sure if this is typical or another anomaly, like my Mobius.
