    I've been looking for an easier way to quickly identify the right side of my Peak Design bag from it's left, this tutorial is perfect!

    Great Video, love it!
    You can use a hairdryer as well to shrink the tubes. And when you melt the ends of the paracord, use the blue part of the flame. This way you can avoid blackening the paracord and it will keep the same colour.

    • @Youknowthebo
      @Youknowthebo  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks, Marc. A hairdryer would work as long as it is hot enough. A lighter would work to shrink it, but there is the possibility that it doesn't shrink evenly. So for the best looking and risk free (in terms of accidental discoloration) method a heat gun is probably the best bet. Or a good hairdryer 😉 thanks for the comment

    I think for the shrink wrap one, you might be albe to tie the knot if you pull out the individual strings from the inside of the paracord. I just looked on my GR1 and it looks like that may be why they were able to do a simple overhand knot. Great video!

    Love the content Bo! Heat shrink pulls are definitely my favorite, but I might have to try that diamond knot! Or maybe combine the two!

    • @Youknowthebo
      @Youknowthebo  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks, Evan.THe Diamond Knot is quite fiddly, especially getting the right length perfect, so combining it with the heatshrink is a great idea, but a difficult task. If you can pull it of, please do make a picture. Would love to see how it looks like.

    You may want to get a good set of wire cutters, it's easy to slip with a knife like that and slice something off (see it all the time at work in the emergency room)

    What diameter heat shrink tubing do you use for the paracord?

    Hi, I am a problem that only you can help me.
    Or need a backpack where I put pants, sweater shirts, two binders, notebooks, cases, headphones, charging cables, and an MEC.
    Which backpack do you recommend?
    I ask you why I think you are the greatest expert in backpacks

    • @Youknowthebo
      @Youknowthebo  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Nicola!
      That's quite a lot of stuff. Depending on the size of the bag you want to carry, maybe take a look at either a bag from AER or the Attitude Supply ATD1. The ATD1 is expandable, which might be good for all the amount of stuff you want to carry.

  • @jgrgry
    @jgrgry 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    If you remove the inner strands from the paracord you can slide the heat shrink tubing over that, then easily tie a knot at the end. Such as how its done on the GoRuck zippers! ; )

    Hey Bo! I recently subscribed to your channel and I just ordered my Dayfarer after watching your videos; I'm really excited to possibly try installing new zipper pulls on it when it arrives, but I was wondering if it would be able to store about 3-4 binders in addition to a laptop and maybe a small pencil case for school. Thanks!

    • @Youknowthebo
      @Youknowthebo  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Kurtis.
      Thank you very much for subscribing. What kind of binders? How big and thick are they? As far as I can remember, the binders in the US are different than the binders in Germany. Have you watched my "what bagsize do I need" video? The Dayfarer is in that video as well

    • @kurtislew2449
      @kurtislew2449 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I usually carry 3 ring, 1 inch thick binders. Also I have watched the "What bagsize do I need" video but I just wanted to make sure I could fit enough stuff for sure.

    • @Youknowthebo
      @Youknowthebo  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I see. I would assume that you can fit everything inside. But unfortunately I don't have binders in that size available to test it out. Have you tried to contact farerdesign directly? Maybe they have a way to test it out

      Das ist ja cool, dass du dir nach dem Video den goruck gekauft hast. Die zipper pulls sind auch super. Da muss nichts geändert werden. 😉 Wobei rotes paracord da schon sehr gut aussieht. In der description findest du einen Amazon link für das paracord, das ich benutzt habe. LG aus Hamburg

    Really interessting !
    It match with your usual type of video so I was a bit surprise it is a sponsored video !
    Do you plan to make other like this ?

    • @Youknowthebo
      @Youknowthebo  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The sponsor does not determine the content. That's the good thing about it. That's why the video is all my style and I just add the sponsor somewhere in the video. And since I don't want to annoy my viewers with ads, I put them at the end.
      And yes, I plan more tutorials in the future. If you have any specific requests, just let me know 😉

    Can't I just use the lighter instead of the heat gun?

    • @Youknowthebo
      @Youknowthebo  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Unfortunately not. If you use a lighter the tube does not shrink evenly. It will shrink of course, but it won't look good.

    • @hemanofeternia9954
      @hemanofeternia9954 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Honestly I use a lighter and it works great for me, per Gorucks recommendation I’ve tried an industrial hair dryer and couldn’t get my goruck pulls to shrink at all, so I would opt for heat gun or bic lighter.
      But the shrink that Bo was using was much thinner than mine, mine was thick and held its tube shape (goruck zipper pull kit), so I guess keep in mind not all heat shrink is the same.
