    Just got mine in the mail. Good video, very helpful. Thank you.

    This looks way easier to install than most of these air pressure monitors out there.

      It was, really. Sadly, this particular company went under a year or two ago, but this TPMS unit can still be found marketed and sold by other companies on the web.

    Sounds good, as I spoken to my Dealer yesterday to have a TPMS installed on my 2020 R3 GT, the OEM one, which will cost me 245 + tax hardware and 1.8 hour labor, another 200 + tax, which it will come out to around 470 in total...the difference is I have reading on my instrument panel instead of another device installed on the bike, but the price for the system mentioned by you is REALLY GOOD in comparison and may be worth it...79 DOLLARS...not bad at all...
    QUESTION...can it operate via cable connected to the battery or needs to be BATTERY FED.
    Thanks

      We’ve just been using the recharging cord, which honestly, only did 2x in 2020- first when we prepared it for mounting in early March, and second on late September, I think. Crazy long battery life on this thing. Of course, I always power it off when I’m done riding, and turn it back on the next time I ride. So I may be saving battery that way. The unit unscrews off of the handlebar mount and plugs into a simple USB cord, so I guess there are adapters that you can use to plug it into a charging port on the bike. Yeah, we found it to be quite a good value over the last year. Thanks Luiz,

    Is it efficient? Do you really suggest to buy it? Is it helpful?!

      I’ve had mine on my 2017 Triumph Bonneville since March 1, and still running off the original charge. It’s accuracy is spot on too. I’d recommend it, IMHO.

    Is that the Chinese product that sells normally for around $50 elsewhere, is only water resistant and some say is a pain to program? I hear the battery life is good and not many other similar products are available. thx

    Hi RDTV. Was happy to see that you can actually fit a TPMS to right angled valves. Any issues so far? Thanks

    • @roaddirttv
      @roaddirttv  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      TheShayster7 No, all is good with it still. We installed the system the first week of March, and it’s still running in the original charge. Of course, I’m careful to turn it off after each ride, but the battery life has been outstanding. Still gives precise readings on pressure and temp in both tires, and just this morning, flashed on/off that my front tire was low, 28 psi. First time the warning activated, so that functions well too.
      Overall, still very satisfied with it.

    Sir, at your recommendation, I ordered one of these for my 2022 KLR. Since you have been using this monitor for awhile now, can you tell me if the PSI reading has remained consistent? Also, have you had any issues with leaks around the sensors? Much appreciated, thanks.

    • @roaddirttv
      @roaddirttv  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I’m not sure the particular company we got them from is still in business, RV Products 4 You, but the units themselves still function superbly, keeping long charges, giving pinpoint accurate readings. The only issue we’ve had, is one of the mounting brackets broke. So I just keep the unit in my saddle or tank bag and turn it on/off each time I ride, and still check the readings regularly.

    • @PatriotNC1

      @@roaddirttv Yes sir, I looked on your comments to see where to get this unit, but it no longer shows it. So, I sent to Amazon searching for another monitor, but stumbled unto yours, the M3-C-WI from RV Products 4U. So I went ahead and bought it. Thanks again for your review. I do only downtown commuting on my KLR, so I don't think I'll be roughing up the mount much. I'll keep an eye on it anyway. Thank you!

      @@PatriotNC1 I hope RVP4U is still in business, and gets one out to you. It’s a great unit, even if RVP4U might not be distributing them. I’m sure others will be here stateside.

    you hand tightened one, and used wrench on other, which is correct? Also did you hand tighten the front sensor, and then loosen it again, for reasons beyond understanding??

    • @roaddirttv
      @roaddirttv  ปีที่แล้ว

      We spun the lock nut on, hand tightened the sensor on, then used the little wrench to snug the lock nut up to the sensor. Front and rear sensors both went on that way.
      That’s what you saw.

    I realized I misspoke in the video about a feature of the unit. The screen does not time out after awhile, at least while out riding. The screen stays on, showing internal pressure and temperature, although it is not distractingly bright. The unit only times out if it sits idle for a length of time.

    I wish you would've programmed that thing on this video. Those directions are a tad difficult to figure out. Clearly, someone with an IQ higher than mine, wrote them. Then again, I was intimidated by that TV show "Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader". 🥴

    How do i pump the tyres? Will it be a hassle to unscrew? Or will i just unscrew and screw like a normal cap?

    • @roaddirttv
      @roaddirttv  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They easily unscrew for inflation, with a locking nut beneath it. Then after adding air, you just screw back on, and snug up to the locking nut.

    The forty bucks for a TPMS would have saved me $800 for the rear wheel on a Yamaha 650 (shaft drive). The spokes don't like too low a pressure in the tire. $$ and safety as well ! spend the bux

    • @roaddirttv
      @roaddirttv  ปีที่แล้ว

      This particular company unfortunately went out of business, but this simple type of TPMS can be found all over the web. This one still works well too, just need a new set of small batteries for tire units.

    I just bought the kit and installed easily but setting the values was a little confusing. It seems like to set high pressure values if you go too high you can't reduce them...I kept increasing until I got a hex value in the reading and not sure how but eventually reset
    What is a good high temperature tire alarm
    Also I read 10% above normal tire pressure is a good high pressure alarm. Anyone else have suggestions?

    • @roaddirttv
      @roaddirttv  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ed Kelenyi Mine’s been set now for a couple of months, but as I remember, (1) it took me a few times to interpret the directions correctly and get the PSI and values set properly. After about 3 tries, all of a sudden they just read correctly. (2) I’m thinking I set my alarm for pressure at like 50(?). It was weird, like I said, but on about my third try suddenly everything set right, and been running flawlessly ever since. I shut it off when I’m not riding, so it’s still showing high original charge after two months. I’m still pleased with it, to date.
