    Marvellous to listen and watching. Angel hands for performing music of the "Voice of God" as Wynton Marsalis call Bach's Music.
    Congratulations from Balcarce, Argentina.

    brilliant use of legato and staccato to differentiate between voices instead of relying on volume

    Liszt said, 'I'll be Bach.' Marta said, 'I'll be both.' And here she was.

    For the first time, I'm listening to Marta through my Beats3 headphones. I had no idea how fantastic the bass notes of the Fazioli piano sound! I've never had the privilege of hearing one live.

      Upvoted, but be aware though that the sound quality on YT is really bad - YT standard is 126 kilobit/sec. expressed as a bit rate, which is hardly better than speech.
      For comparison a normal music CD is 1411 kbps. High res audio files go up to 9216 kbps. So your bass notes might have the approximately correct frequency but not much more.

    Grazie 🥰

    This is attributed to Bach and Liszt, but since Bach wrote it for keyboard (organ)in the first place, I wonder what Liszt did, apart from putting some of the pehal line into the left hand.

    At first, I thought that particularly the Prelude was over-interpreted/over-romanticized with too much rubato. But the more I listen to the whole set the more I like it, especially when compared to bombastic playing by others.

    • @maxhult830
      @maxhult830 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Agreed. I’m no fan of tempo rubato generally, for several reasons... But for once, with Marta’s playing here, it actually makes sense to me. Ie she doesn’t kill the groove with it, like so many others do.

      I am listening to it for the third time and, while the whole thing is extremely well executed, I am afraid that this just isn't the interpretation for me.

      How interesting... And not necessary. Opinions and taste differ. I am always interested in critical voices. Martha plays wonderful and with a strong opinion. Of course there will be people that like it otherwise. That is art.

    Bach is not Chopin... please, less fantasy. To transmit music, the elements must stay clear because else the audience has to make much effort, to follow. SO too much fantasy is blurring music, not clarifying it; except for CHopin, when Cortot is playing.

    Décidément, la sonorité des pianos Fazioli ne charme pas mes oreilles, à l'opposé de Steinway ou Bösendorfer, ou Yamaha. Et le tempo choisi est trop lent à mon goût.
