Never EVER turn off a pc during a bios update. YOU WILL BRICK IT. Unless you have a bios flashback.
I did with mine it was fine I didn’t need to do anything idk how
usually newer motherboards dont do that
I think it was only for older mobo's
Dude, thank you so much for the content. I've built 3 computers so far because of you and I'm planning on putting this money towards my college fund. I'm 15 so I don't have a PayPal account, but I still wanted to say thanks! Your videos are very entertaining and informational, I can't wait to see this channel grow. Keep it up!
Thats awesome man! You said you've built 3 computers, have you sold them yet? if so what are the specs and profit on them?
@@ElijahsLab I built a 6700XT and 5 5600X for myself (upgrading from a $100 laptop) and then I built a 1080 and 5 2600 build (200 profit) and a 3060Ti & 5 5600 build that I'm currently testing.
the power button is hooked up to where the reset switch port is possibly
This must be it yh
@Mitzzz I made the exact same mistake because some motherboards screw with the layout, had one where it would turn on then off then back on then back off and it took me 20 minutes to figure out what was happening
I think he has 1 big cable with the power reset en led combined so if am not mistaken it can not be placed incorrectly
@adildidi5750 oh then the motherboard has them rearranged
I just got a good deal on a whole computer for $200. It's a Ryzen 5 3600x, GTX 1660 Super, 16GB DDR4 2666MHz RAM, 512GB 2.5 SSD, 600w PSU, ASUS TUF B450 Pro Game Motherboard, and Fractal Design Focus G Blue Pearl case. Not the best case in the world but it'll do. I'm putting three new fans and a CPU cooler in it. So I'll be in it around $237. I should make a ok profit off this thing I hope.
I would sell the 1660 Super and buy new GPU, the 3600x is more than powerful enough for a 1660 super.
@@sambrea1949 I don't wanna make anymore work for myself than I have to. But I do have a Ryzen 5 3500x that I'm thinking of swapping with the 3600x. So I can save the 3600x for a little bit more powerful build. What do you think about that?
@@mikiehill67 do it
That’s a screaming deal for $200 USD ! Nice get!
@@mikiehill67 i mean a 3500x with a 1660 super is better than a 3600x with a 1660 super. I scored a 2600, RX 550, Thermaltake 700W PSU, 2x8gb ddr4 ram, 500gb Samsung 970 ssd, and thermal paste and 2 stock Ryzen coolers all for $100.
Excellent video. I love how you go through the issues you encounter and how you go about fixing them.
Thank you, im glad you enjoyed the vid!
love to go through this adventure with you wether its pc building or just buying a house no matter its a nice journey keep up the great work elijah!
Keep up the great work! The Editing looks great on your recent videos
Hey Elijah, just wanted to throw an idea your way. What if instead of saving up all the profit to buy a house you bought a duplex instead for the purpose of renting it out & making money on the rent.
Say rent is 2200 a month for the whole duplex, you rent out one side for 50-65% of the cost of rent & then you live in the other side & pay the rest of rent. If you live there for a year then you decide to sell you’ll be able to sell it tax free.
You keep doing this over & over & eventually you’ll have some investment properties. Just an idea I wanted to throw your way.
Tryna educate him on real estate that’s pretty fire🤣
That’s actually my thought. At least it used to be
I’ve looked into/ researched the whole “house hacking” thing and it would be super cool. The hard part is finding the property but you’re right, a duplex is the right move
Loved this episode brotha!
Yooo thanks for all the advice man! I started flipping cuz of ur ideas. Keep goin'!
Let's gooo he listened to the community W Elijah
You may want to open a reseller account (if you have not already), so you don’t have to pay tax. More profit!
I'm loving the content, I really hope you get more subs you deserve them.
Were growing
ur not alone, i build pc's also and i swear ive had more issues than ever lately. Shoutout from Australia
Hungary mentioned!!!!!!
My dell xps does this every so often. Has me puzzled especially when it doesn’t do it every time. Btw wishing you a lot of luck for reaching your goal. Appreciate your content.
keep up the good work love from egypt❤❤
Love the series man keep it up! Question for you when pricing locally - if someone is selling a build with the same cpu/gpu as yours but at a lower price, do you think aesthetics alone is enough to still beat out that competition and sell the same "build" for more?
Love the content man, keep it up with the flips, I do it on the daily as well
6:16 the pc isn't broken at all, I've had the same issue before with my current pc after doing something in bios and all I had to do it take out one ram stick, turn it on, turn off the psu when the pc booted and insert the second ram stick back hope you read this comment and try what I have said if anything like this happens again :)
Hi Elijah, this may seem like a silly question, but could we please get a detailed video on updating the bios?
Really appreciate the amazing content, tried sending €5 but some error comes up, gonna try again tomorrow. As i said, these videos are the highlight of my week.
70°c you said is the perfect temp. I say that's a bit warm, lol
love eating and watching this series
you have the restart pin on the power pin area on the bottom right of the motherboard i had the issue :D but fixed
I think the motherboard bios is setup with AC/Power Loss Always On When I built mining rigs you would set AC power loss on in case power went out or the pc crashed they would restart. The mining rigs would do the same thing if you tried to shut them off they would instantly turn back on.
Some older motherboards need safe mode to be turned on to use newer gpus, it's definetely a bios setting that you're missing imo
Sold a a computer 2 days ago, on a road trip rn to see family in Idaho and I’m going to try and do a new flip(the market there is so much better) everything is selling for like $100 more than were I live
very good video man keep it up
Appreciate it
Great vid!!!!
W PROFIT! Loving the series my guy, I don’t think anyone thinks you’re bragging about the profit. You’re working toward a goal and it’s awesome to see! GL
graphics cards are not always interchangeable between different boards, different monitors, different tvs. Also you might get a black screen with an HDMI cable but it might work with a Displayport cable. Also check all video outputs of the card. Could be a bios setting in the motherboard, u might have to reset to default and clear cmos and replace battery. Have a dozen different video cards on a shelf at your disposal to try different cards out on the system, some bus powered, some with power plugs some single 8pin some dual 8pin. Dont forget to always have an AC DC Watt Meter Plugged in and see what the watts are at any time. You should also have a Voltmeter and leads handy so that u can back probe the connectors to verify u still have 12v 5v 3v under load at all the main connectors. Argb parts can be useful for diagnosis because if the lights are acting weird under load then thats a red flag. Also listen to your Speaker while its plugged in, if its crackling under load thats a red flag too.
Its here yes this is one of my favorite videos
Good luck on the journey
Dont you think it it scummy to return a motherboard that worked “alright” before you updated the bios?
watch the previous episode where I first built the pc, it was giving me problems before updating
It clearly didn't work "alright" if switching it worked, also he said in the video that he was updating it again, meaning he had already updated the bios. Pretty sure he usually updates the bios as one of the first things.
@@ElijahsLab yes, it booted though.
Not saying it is acceptable since it should have been working 100% fine.
But it was still “working”
@@VeryAvarageChessPlayer brudda, you cannot not call it working if it doesnt work properly. If you bought a car and it started but wouldnt stop, would you say that it was "working"?
Should have just checked the power button and reset button pins on the board had the same problem with an older board
just take off the power switch plug and try to turn it on manually
You find some crazy deals man. I just found your channel today and have been binge watching. What do you think about the Zotac 1070ti I just sniped for $83? It's not the craziest deal but these are the ones I typically find.
I bet the problem was that the power pins for reset and power button were switched.
What software do you use to sync all fans and cooler?
Great response to Jackson 😆
Hey man, will you do a video on how to use MSI afterburner, you mentioned it a couple videos back
I've had the same issue with b450m ds3h - after updating bios to the newest version it did not post with a Ryzen 3600 and rx6600.
I have ordered a CH341a bios programmer from Aliexpress and installed earlier version of bios. F63a was the latest version that booted successfully in my build.
my motherboard randomly stopped working as well. ive tried a r5 5500, a r3 2200g, and a r5 2600. none of them worked. the i just decided to randomly build a pc with it and it started to work. i guess it was the cmos but idk
Oh yeah I was going to get that same ASRock b450m hdv. So I would have to do a bios update to get the 1660 suer to work? Someone please let me know.
hi elijah, i am also a pc flipper and i had to deal with the same problem you got with that 1660. i have 15 rx 6600s in stock at home and i was originally going to pair them with a 8700k and a z370m board that i got for a good deal, and it didnt post. all 15 of them didnt post on the 8700k testbench, but when i swap to a different gpu, it booted. i even swapped the motherboard and cpu and it booted off the rx 6600. crazy problem it is and unfortunately i don’t have an adequate solution to it lol, i just wanna share my story that computers can sometimes be wacky
The reboot issue could have been a bad reset switch
I had the same problem that it was alway on I rebuilt the PC and then re installed everything. Then it started working.
Hey man, love the videos. I have an hp omen prebuilt with a ryzen 5 5600g and a 2060. I want to upgrade my gpu but I’m not sure if it will make that much of a difference because of my cpu. Should I sell and build my own(first time) or upgrade my gpu?
Keep up ❤
I’d like to see someone do this but until they could afford their dream pc.
I MADE THE CHANNEL! I’ll have some videos up soon!
Wish you the best of luck! Consistency is key in growing
I have a problem with my pc that I built. When I boot up my pc, it doesn’t post so I have to hard reset, go through the bios and boot from my drive every time I want to use it. Does anybody have a fix?
Sup, does anyone have good case recommendations other than the Sama q5 and diy pc cube?
Do you use wifi mobos? If not do you say that it dosnt have wifi or is it normal to not have wifi?
yo elijah, these videos are awesome dont get me wrong, but i would love them much more if they were longer! (25-30mins)
*Great video*
hey elijah what would be a good upgrade from a rx580 (2048)? i have a xeon build E52680-v3 running win11
Are you sure you didn't misconnect the reset switch with the off and on switch of the PC Case?
Can you do a video on off brand vs name brand pc parts and which parts don’t need to be name brand and which off brand parts are reliable
i had an Rx 6600 GPU but has an issue of automatically switching off and restarting the pc itself
i changed it to rtx 3060
anyone know how reliable those product keys are?
I went into a crackheads house to get a broken pc it had i7 3770k 16gb ddr3 gtx 970 600w psu 500gb hdd and a motherboard. It was boot cycling. It turned out to be a 20 dollar fix. So it was a total of 40 for the pc. Probably my biggest profit ever from it 220 dollars
Hey Elijah I’ve had trouble with one of the pcs I’ve tried flipping and when I try boot it up it turns on but only shows like a black screen then I turn it off and on again then it actually goes to windows anyway you can help? Thanks love the vids❤
The funny thing is I just got all the parts for my pc flip and my BRAND new msi mobo was cooked when i got it. I know how you feel this month every pc i build there is a random new part that is broken or i just do something stupid.
Glad I’m not the only one haha
hey i just built a pc w ryzen 5 5600, 1tb nvme, rx 7800, 16gb led ram and pretty nice case what would you price it at ?
Hey Elijah I posted the same thing in Discord, but am sharing here in case it helps somebody else: try updating the chipset drivers on the Gigabyte board
yo im definitely becoming a gambler thx to those wise words
Hey can u review the antec cx200m it comes with 5 fans and I am 5inking of using it just want a second opinion
Hey Elijah, I’m trying to decide whether or not to put 16gb or 32gb of ram into my next pc flip, I bought a 4x8gb for $50, so doing either would be pretty easy. The specs of the build are a 3700x, x470, rtx 2080 super, fish tank case, spare 360mm aio given to mm, 1tb ssd, and an rm850w psu, its a relatively mid/high end build and I can’t decide on whether or not to include 16 or 32 gb of ram. I got all the parts for $496, any tips would be appreciated! Also I love your videos man and I’m glad to see another flipping episode 💪

Hey brother, do you have any suggestions for good budget cases, drives, PSUs and CPU coolers?
For some reason these are always the main parts I struggle finding while looking to flip computers, I can always find a good deal on CPUs, GPUs, Mobos and RAM but everything else is always a struggle.
Right now, I've been rocking with IBuyPower $50 ARGB cases, $60 SN580 1 tb drives, $40 ebay PSUs and $20 coolers. I feel like I could be much more profitable if I could cut these costs down.
Any suggestions would be great.
Sidenote. Just built a 2700x/1070ti/16gb 3000MHz build for $390. Feeling okay about it but I think I can do better.
i highly doubt that its the motherboard and i think the motherboards the problem so i highly reccommend to change the motherboard
Who knew u we’re actually cracked at apex
Just gonna say one thing: ,,My market is to super duper slow"😢
Started flipping because of Elijah. Legend🔥
Tech can be brutal sometimes bro.
We all suck at tech, sometimes for weeks or months at a time lol. Keep workin and get outta that funk
that comment for going casino, he is right the best and easiest to make money is that but not the safest way
lets go !!!!
The pc look lika a skythecpc

Hey Elijah! If you have the problem where your computer won't shut down again try this (you ofc don't have to)! I'm not sure if you already tried this, but in the computers power settings it could be set on hibernate or sleep instead of shut down. It could also be a faulty file system so I would open up Command Prompt and run it as administrator, type in "sfc/scannow" and click enter. Incase it's none of those I would just completely reinstall windows. That might be a problem. Hope this helped!
R5 3600X FTW
Sorry i couldn't help i tried that when helping one of my friends it worked for them
No worries, it was a good idea. Glad to see you in the comments again!

Hi Elijahs, I am French, I would like to have an opinion on a PC that I have just built, I plan to resell it like you, inside there is an RX6500xt and a Ryzen 5 1600, the PC cost me €350 and I am counting resell it for €500. Is this a good price? Thanks in advance bro
A charge of $150 more for a pre built is fair
