I dont think u guys understand how bad thst PSU is, that computer uses around 100w at full load, its pulling more then twice that from wall, I dare u to change PSU and run wall power tests again
There's not just the data privacy issue with Temu, there have been several accusations of them selling products produced by slave labor in China as well. I don't know how much of that has been proven yet, but its enough, and the prices for some of these items essentially being less than they cost to produce in many cases, makes me think there is probably at least some amount of it going on. Therefore I refuse to shop there until these data & slavery accusations can be corroborated or refuted by some independent organizations.
Had the same result with a SSD and heat sink. Mine was passive, but that alone brought it down from 66° to just 40°. It benefits from the case fans too.
even though the NVMe was cooler with the heatsink it performed a little worse as far as speed goes. i was told NVMe needed to be warmed up to transfer at its fastest.
In my experience even some name brand prebuilts come with lousy power supplies so I'm not surprised to see this. For the money, it's a decent build. You go Temu--never thought I'd say that about their computer stuff! Great job Danny!

better than i would have expected from this.. Idk if you can expect the gpu drivers to be up to date with a pc like this ;D Just be happy it works and doesn't light a fire while you are sleeping lol
I used to work for a company that would buy machines 5000 at a time, and when they see an option like "1x16GB saves $50k", they choose that option EVERY time. The finance ppl usually had final say on purchasing decisions. They don't know what dual channel means. 😅
Hi, I find the ssd cooler a bit on the weird side, it shouldn't be too much fuss, just keep it functional. The rest of the build looks good for this price category. As what you said, no scams but the real deal. What I also wanted to say is that you can set the shared video memory to 512mb because Windows compensates for that and you don't have any disadvantages in terms of performance loss.
I don't feel so bad now paying $300 for a PC that came without a PSU or storage. What I did get was an MSI Z370-A PRO Motherboard, i7 8700k, GTX 1060 6GB, 16GB of DDR4 RAM, a 240mm AIO cooler, and a case with 7 ARGB fans.
That could be the remnants of someone's older build. Not bad for the price. They could have migrated their PSU and storage into the new build. GPU is budget, had a 1060 in 2016, CPU late 2017. At least that has hyperthreading the 9700K didn't the next gen i7 that followed lol. That could take a 9900K with BIOS update, still have a Z390 9600K around. The others really don't make sense from 9th gen losing HT on most chips.
You are a lot braver than me, I would not have run that under load for 12 hours, I would not have run it at 288w for 10 minutes. In a goming build I always install a gold rated, well know good brand psu with twice the wattage of my system under extreme load, that way it runs around the peak of the efficiency curve.
Twice the wattage under extreme load would mean you would have to run your system under extreme load most of the times to be around the peak of the efficiency curve. PSUs should have some headroom but unless a component has extreme powerspikes (RTX3090) twice the max load is just overkill in my opinion. Edit: If unsure overspec is still safer/better than underspec. I would not run that PSU unsupervised while sleeping either. (Only while being in the same room with a fire extinguisher close by)
I used a cheap 750W power supply for ten years without any issues. However, when I bought a new PC and used another low-quality power supply from the same brand, it burned the 4-pin socket as soon as I powered it on and lighted on fire. Never again.
I see that PC as a viable option for those in the market for the PC equivalent of a console. As long as the PSU lasts it's "cheap and cheerful" and has an upgrade path. If I was building something for someone who wanted something like that I'd build something similar, just with more ram slots and a better PSU. My original Ryzen 1600 has become a 5700X over time, doubled the ram, far better GPU and still have the same Seasonic PSU.
Whats ironic about power supply issues and Cable connector issues lately is that they are always occurring on brand products. I proudly use a 450w nameless ketchup and mustard PSU that only has one SATA power connector so I have turn off my RGB to connect a drive and doesn't have GPU power connector but thankfully I use APU.. so...
They're definitely making money from bulk deals. Those cases sell for under $10 in China, they are most likely using tray CPUs which will save $20 or so over retail. Those Maxsun boards are around $40 in China as well. So I imagine their actual cost is under $300, maybe even under $250 per unit if they're building hundreds of these at a time.
Just discovered your channel the other day and love your videos so far!!! I live in the Seattle area as well. I just built a new PC, only keeping the SSD's, the GPU and the PSU from my old system. I wanted to ask, do you think it's worth it to purchase the missing parts from my old system (AM4 system built in 2020) and fashion together a working PC to sell, or would I find more success selling parts from it individually? I have a spare MSI RTX 2080 I was going to throw in it as well, but was thinking whether it's better to sell separately or use it for a build to sell.
