You are a life saver. Saved me hours of work. I was going to change the egr cooling valve then spotted this video. I just touched the wire and it came away. Delighted it was the issue. Cleared the code and all still good. Cheers.
Same here, life saver, exactly the same problem, give this man a medal, took a few hours of Google and eventually found this video, I was searching for code 4871 which is the code for the egr cooling valve itself? Not sure, P2425 would of probably got me here a lot quicker, both codes are in the error log
Help 🆘 got 335d mapped and after dpf gutted 340hp . at full throttle hitting 120mph goes into limp mode only at that speed Has a fault ( faults for exhaust gas cooling switching valve open circuit.,) the coded was removed the car was running okay after few days same problem. PLEASE HELP 🆘
Exactly what has happened on mine. Clearly I know it's just the plug, what's it called, what type? One of the two wires has broken, I can't see how to get one of the metal electrical connectors out of the plug to get a stripped wire back in?
@@mrpleb4864 I got one from justgermanparts by post cost just 5.49 for a wired connector, ( part no. 1J0973722) came first glass, I cut the old one off, and spliced them together. Remember to jot down which wire is which as the voltages are different.
@@mrpleb4864 wiring loom connector, I got one from justgermanparts in Preston UK for about a fiver. Came with 2 wires connected,, you need to splice it onto the existing wires

I know it’s been a while since you commented but did you manage to take the plug apart and how?
@@mrpleb4864 I bought a new plug with wires and soldered that onto the old wiring because the wires were a bit short anyway
