Hi - thanks for the excellent vids! Effectiveness = efficacy - not seen you short of a word before🙂 - you are incredibly fluent, an excellent communicator - helps to love your subject 🙂
Love your informational videos! But for the life of me I can’t find any of these wonderfully deep and beautiful hanging baskets! Please please please tell me where I might find such things 🙏. I’ve looked exhaustively online at home improvement stores, furniture stores, import stores, eBay, and Etsy, and of course gardening stores, but no luck.
These were ordered online four or five years ago, try checking some online sources such as Gardener's Supply to see if they have anything similar. Sorry, wish we had better news!
I love the iron form you are using. I have looked and looked online and at a local nursery, Home Depot, and Lowe's. I can't find any forms like you used or anything close to that pretty. Do you mind sharing where you got that form? Thanks!
Hi Laura, My question is about your ‘weekly’ fertilizer, all the food containers say that you feed your plants every 2 weeks? Do you do weekly with full strength food ,or do you 1/2 the strength mixture to do it weekly? What is the perfect amount? Thank You so much!🙂
Follow the directions on the container with regard to the correct ratio of water to plant food. And in the heat of the season we recommend feeding every third watering--for the hungry annuals such as Supertunia and Superbells.
She added in slow release plant food that will help the plants stay healthy for up to 6 months, and you can reapply more at any time. Thanks for watching!
To help retain water, could we line the inside of the basket with plastic that has holes punched throughout so the water drains, through the coconut matting ? With the added plastic, the plant might not dry out as quickly....?
If you go to Hanging Baskets part 2, in the comments section, somebody suggested using cheap cellulose sponges from the Dollar Store. I will do that, do not want to water plants twice a day.

What material or shell cover is on your green house in this vid? Not related, I know & thank you for any replies in advance.

That is something you can try, you just need to be sure there is excellent drainage for the plant.

Have you sourced your 14" hanging basket with the deep reservoir?
Why do you have to change up the soil each year?
The plants pull the nutrients from the soil all summer, so best to start with fresh soil in the spring to give your plants a head start.
why not feed the plants through the sides like the experts do?
Where do they sell proven winner flowers ? Or do you have to order them on line? Home depo or Fred Meyers ?
