Laura I love watching your videos. I use to have a big yard. My husband and I were always doing things like you and Aaron. I miss it so much. Watching you all makes me so happy, it brings back so many good memories of my big place. Love seeing you all with your children and the cats. Keep up the great work. 💕
Over the last week, I’ve been rewatching your spring/summer pot videos from the last few years, trying to get ideas for the upcoming season. This video is perfect timing!
I'm happy to see Jane Thomas mentioned here, my spouse recommended her to me after investing $4000 and she has really helped us financially in thu times of COVID-19 lockdown here in Australia.
Trading without professional guide...Huh I laugh you, because you will remain where you are or even make huge losses that will stop you from trading, this has been one of the biggest problem to new traders
Hi Laura - yes the palm, fern combinations on your front porch did look Southern. I am in coastal Alabama zone 9 and you can’t get much more southern than that. 😊
👋Good Tuesday morning Laura!!! Coffee ☕️ in hand, cozy wrap on feet and lap - GO!!! Thank you for sharing the "refresher" of your favorite (and GORGEOUS) planters of 2022!!! I lost some of my wish plant lists and this gave me the names of some of the plants, I had on those lists!!!🤗🤗🤗🤗 Thank you!!!! I sooooo enjoyed this video! Especially, since you filmed it in the Hartley!!! Such a calming, beautiful spot to do videos, at least for the cool weather... 🥰 Have a Blessed and Beautiful day/night 🌞/🌜✨️⭐️🌟⭐️✨️ 🌐 everyone!!! Would you please do an episode on fertilizing blooming plants in containers and otherwise? I would love to know some of the products and techniques you use to achieve your results.
Thanks so much for sharing!!! Every morning I look forward to my time watching while I have my coffee. I wish you would post a photo of the container with a list of all the plants in it so we can screen shot it.
Good morning, Laura ☕️ I loved the idea of a Gaura as a centerpiece! Thanks for the reminder! It’s one of my favorite plants in my garden bonus; you can then plant it in the ground🙌🏻. Have a Blessed Day 😊🐈
I was just on the PW website yesterday looking for a new recipe for my hayracks.I have 6 on a 2nd story back deck that are very visible to the neighborhood. Last season I planted 2 Supertunia Vista Bubblegum in each hayrack and oh what a show. Took your advice and sprayed weekly for bud worms and weekly fertilizer. This year I think I decided on the 2023 Beach Sunset recipe but may revisit some of the ones you presented today. Thanks for all the inspiration!
@@jgg7377they come from moths, so yes…I get TERRIBLE infestations of bud worms on my petunias/geraniums each year…this year I will begin spraying on day 1 of planting to get ahead of it.
I wish you guys did more of those type of videos in the winter .... like take one area and look back at every year you planted it, - for example kitchen window containers over the years, front of the house , portico, the long lane of big containers , separate flowerbeds, every winter its worth looking back at the same footage plus that new year ! trust me no-one will ever mind! and its fun to see planting varieties in the dead of winter anyway.. most people looking to rewatch summer stuff at this time anyway... like I've been stuck on repeat every single peony video out there , its so beautiful. I can't stop😍😍
You’re so fortunate to have a long growing season for your plants to thrive so large. We just had snow today which has given us a very long winter here in Canada. Love to see there’s spring elsewhere.
Thank you for these container ideas. I have large rock areas in front of my house and container flowers are perfect. It is more comfortable than ground flowers to maintain and less weeds. 🪴🪴😀😀
Laura...you are making me so anxious for spring! I have always used Guara for my containers...and they have repeatedly turned out to be my favorites. You did a beautiful job on all your containers last year. Also...loved the background show that Russel and Cheddar were providing! Blessing to you and your family.
About 1 years ago we bought a shed and hubby built a window box that would face NW. That first year I planted and assortment of plants, fuchsia, impatiens, a vine of some sort and a couple other plants long forgotten. Before the summer was over, the double impatiens had taken over and filled the space beautifully. Everyone thought they were roses! From then on, I only planted the dble impatiens because, why fight with perfection. Last year we bought a new shed, bigger than the last. We oriented it in the same way. This time that side would get a trellis and whiskey barrel on either side of the double doors. I planted Black-eyed Susan vine (thunbergia) Lemon Star, salvia and a trailing begonia. The thunbergia took off and so did the begonia. First time planting these two plants. I've never seen you plant the thunbergia and think with your system and conditions, you might want to give it a look for the kids garden for over the archway. Likes full sun, moderate water, feeding regularly and blooms continuously without dead heading. The spent blooms grow a sort of Oriental lantern pod, giving the plant more texture. I really think you'd love it.
Beautiful planters! I glimpsed the cats play "fighting" over Laura's shoulder out the Hartley window a little past minute 4: that just made the video for me!
Love these videos and yes i note someone mention money but really this is hard work you earned it your whole family from your parents to yourself put the time in and it will reward you too, so this is truly love and with that comes blessings you can do this on a budget as well. So to mention about money helping you yes you put in the hard yards too. Be grateful for what they have not what they haven't got i say....keep going i love the tips too thats me on the otherside of the globe New Zealand ❤❤❤
Thank you so much for showing how the planters turned out! I’ve often wished you would do follow ups. Love your cheery, easy-going approach to gardening and I bet to life in general.

Love the second one I am definitely adding Gaura to my planter this year. I never plant petunias of any kind but this video has inspired me to try them this year.
Hi Laura! Thanks for all the information you provide each week. Super excited to start planting! Could you talk briefly about what fertilizer you use for containers and in ground plants? Obviously containers are done by hand but how do you fertilize all of your other flowers?
These are beautiful ❤🌼🌸🌺🪷Thank you for the great ideas! I do have trouble coming up with ideas! I just love the first one!! And the yellow begonias and yellow supertunia vistas 🥰
Thanks for your choices for containers.when I am at the garden center I get over whelmed with so many choices. Now I make a list, from your choices. Than you !

If you can figure out how to include Russell and Cheddar all the better. Would love to watch you all pick and plant your favorites and see how they do throughout the season. Winner gets bragging rights for a full year.
Laura, you gave me some great ideas. About 7-8 years ago, my husband and I were asked if we would take over planting up four planters around our church. We have one long planter, two small square ones and one large square one with a flagpole in the center, all cement and they are on the west and northwest corner of the church. The first planter you showed with the purple and white petunias and spikes will look beautiful in the big long planter, the begonias and white caladiums I will do in the large square one with maybe a short canna or two and maybe calabrochoa (sp), in the small ones. I love your videos, especially you and your Mom out antiquing and dining. I always had so much fun with my Mom when she and I and my sisters would go shopping. Keep up the great work, you have such a lovely family.
