So interesting fact about Inca Kola, we Peruvians love it so much that when Coca Cola tried to enter the market here it wasn't able to oversell it so they ended up buying it (why is featured in the Atlanta Coca Cola museum and over at Epcot's Club Soda among the sodas they own around the world).
My girfriend is peruvian and she had me try inca cola when we started dating. Something about just makes ya want more very addicting and refreshing even if ya dont like bubbl3gum favor in orher things...very unique
I’m going to Peru for the first time this October and your video gave me lots of ideas!! So well made and I love your respect and appreciation of the people and culture. You just gained a subscriber from me!
Also, i've traveled a lot and peruvian food (+ Inca kola) is still my favorite! Try papa a la huancaina sometime. YUM! come to NY NJ and you'll become more diverse and you'll see tons of peruvian, dominican, colombian cuban etc foods/drinks etc.
I must say your videos are great! Even tho i make different type of travel videos, I aspire to deliver as good content as you guys! keep up the good work!
@@explorinwithlaurin this is why more women’s clothes need useful pockets! Men are spoiled by bottomless pockets, I once folded up my whole jacket and stuffed it in my pocket 😂

Great, Informative and compact video! I am just wondering when did you go to Peru? Since I am leaving in January and ends in Feb, I am pretty anxious on how wet the weather could be.
@@SharingtheRoad yes, next month on our big global #modernworktour. We are not sure if we also do Machu Picchu (yes, we saw your video ;) ) or just hand around Cusco a few days...
Hi! We never had any theft while in Peru, and felt safe most places we went. Cusco never felt too overly crowded, so we felt we were able to keep a good watch on our bags and such. I do use a hanging wallet/passport holder that attaches to my belt loop (so I can wear it inside my pants like an extra inner pocket). This gives me peace of mind knowing that my important docs are well protected. For a SIM card, we used Google Fi, which is a U.S phone plan that allows you to cancel at anytime, and only pay for the data you use. Since we were only going for 2 weeks, we felt it was a good option. I'm sure if you picked up a local SIM card, you could get it cheaper. We've also heard nice things about Airlo Esim cards, where you can buy ESIM cards (data only, no cell/texting) online, but we haven't actually used them yet. When are you going?! You're going to have such an amazing trip! :)
@@SharingtheRoad Im pretty sure you can find inca kola anywhere in the usa if you visit your local latino supermarket. Where i live i even found it on publix
- except for the food in the back, the San Pedro market is almost exclusively a tourist spot. Locals shop in the surrounding Paraiso area. That is where you should have gone to see real Cusco markets. - The stones along the stream running down bsides Sacsayhuaman are about 2-2 1/2 years old. The reconstruction was done during the pandemic. I watched them doing it for months. - Inca Cola is available in lots of places in the US. It a Coca Cola Bottling Co. product. - the 12-angle stone is promoted solely for tourism along the street. There are lots of stones in the area with more angles, but they don't sit in front of souvenir shops. (By the way, some of the "Inca" walls you showed are actually modern facades.)
My girlfriend and I are planning 2 weeks in Peru this December. And I want to know if 3 days in Cusco is enough to be able to visit macchu picchu and hang out in the Cusco’s plaza de armas
Inca Kola is all over the US in all peruvian restaurants. I've been drinking it since the 4th grade, here in New York. Best friend is from Peru. I believe it might be made by the coca cola company? anyway, it's good. tastes and smells like bubble gum.
It's owned by coca cola now. Before it was on its own. Many Peruvians tell me that coca cola changed it's flavor after buying it because it was afraid that it would beat coca cola in the future so they toned down the flavoring
Hi! We drank lots of water, and chewed on some coco leaf candy some fellow travelers gave us. We didn't encounter too bad of symptoms, mainly just feeling more winded than normal after climbing stairs, slight headache, and things like that. Luckily, Cusco is a higher elevation that Machu Picchu, so if you give your body a day or two to get acclimated in Cusco, if/when you go to Machu Picchu, you should be well acclimated! We hope you have a great trip!
We see Inca Cola all over small restaurants in California (most local Greek and Afghan restaurants especially), and that bubblegum flavor is not for me! 🤮🤣 How much did you spend on your entire trip? I cant see anyone doing cost breakdowns
Hi Rakhi, we didn't rent a car in Cusco. We found the Ubers to be affordable and were fine walking around on foot for most of our adventures! Are you planning a trip to Cusco?!
@@rakhiganguly2999 You're going to have a great time! We used Uber to get from the airport to get to the historic Downown area, and it was very affordable in Cusco. There are also taxis outside the airport too!
In my opinion, both the Inca Kola and the Peru CocaCoal don't taste good or great. They're okay. The Coke in the US tastes better. For some reasons, Peruvians use a different ingredient.

You can find Inca Kola on tap in Atlanta, in the Coca-Cola Museum ... just as good as Inca Kola in Peru
I GUESS WE NEED TO PLAN A TRIP TO ATLANTA THEN!!! Thanks for sharing that!

The megalithic is prior to Inca. Hints how the stone work gets worse on top. They didn’t do that in 150 years
I feel Big Red copied Inca Cola's flavor haha
What did you do to handle altitude sickness ??

Wait until they find out you can get Inca Cola from just about any local tienda hispana here in America 😂
The trip might be worth it just for the day inca cola
It totally was! Inca Kola was AMAZING 🍺
Inca kola is sold in America, just look for it in hispanic food sections or Hispanic supermarkets if there are any in your neighborhood
you didnt try the fry guinea? really? why?

Google says the wheel was invented about 5000 years before the Incas built walls
LouderMilk
Two gringos drinking Inca Kola and thinking it is a local drink when it is owned by Coca-Cola must be satire.
Coca cola didn't invent it they bought it later. It is a Peruvian beverage
LMAO
It's is a local drink, made in Peru bought by the coca cola corp after they couldn't surpass their sales in Peru.
Better he isnt sure if in XIV age they had a wheel
