Always fun to watch these videos. Gives me tons of inspiration to finish my helmet and eventually move onto my armor. The tip of using bondo before primer you mentioned in the last video worked so well by the way, i'm already nearing being ready to paint with only one coat of filler primer so far.
I have one and still never do stuff like this, maybe i will one day but doing the visors, treating the plastic and making it so that i can paint it seems pretty difficult. Edit: I’m pretty sure there are lots of places out there you can pay to do a print though.
Giantatom, similar story as well. I’m currently printing out a clone trooper blaster, but in the mean time I’m planning on the helmet. It’s a very complet job when slicing the helmet in pieces. First my computer is buggy and second the printer is so big and the object is so big it gets complex. I put it in the sliver and it’ll take quite awhile. I wish you luck if you try to make a helmet. We troopers can do it.
I love these! Former 501st UK Garrison member here, and I just love what you're doing here fella. I'm hopeful of getting a 3D printer very soon (covid-19 related job worries aside...) and will be buying at least one set of files from you to start a new lid collection. Building and customising armour brings back some fond memories though I haven't been involved with the garrison in over ten years, but I have been building, painting and weathering model kits in some of that time. It's really cool to see how accessible it is to make a fantastic looking lid with some work and attention to detail but that's all part of the fun and satisfaction of these hobby projects in the first place. In the meantime please keep these build videos coming. They help as well as being great fun to watch! Thank you!
White Haddocks channel 2 no what he means is how big does the printing table have to be in order to print the part ex helmet part is 10 inches by 10 inches but Alex Balaloski needs to know how big the part is so he can make sure his printer is big enough
The entire helmet is 269 * 292 * 322mm... If you want to print a phase 2 dome (without the fin) in one piece you need at least 208 * 240 * 117mm but generally it depends on how you silce it I guess ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
When ever I play as the Umbra Operative ARC Trooper, I always think of the appearance as the ARC Trooper General, having black armor with yellow-orange markings.
"Not nearly as complicated as Commander Wolffe"... Damn, I felt that. I ordered the Wolffe helmet from you like in October of last year, and I'm proud to say that it turned out great! That being said, DAMN did I severely underestimate how complicated the paint on his helmet would be!
When he first said that he had a shop, I groaned as I expected the typical TH-camr website. But when he showed the price for the files ($13!), I was pleasantly surprised!!! That's awesome!!! Thanks and keep up the good work!!!
This looks better than 95% of the homemade cosplay helmets you see in videos. I think it's because you really took the time to get rid of layer lines and make sure it's smooth.
Oh man, this is really good. I've been waiting, it's been so long since the Vaughn helmet! This is my third time watching this vid, it may be the best helmet you've done!
My printer is on backorder but as soon as I get it you know I’ll be making me one of these!!! You’re my favorite channel on TH-cam!! Absolutely awesome work, you make it look so easy!
After taping you should do a quick layer of the base coat again before the orange. This fills the tiny gaps in the paint that make the edges bleed. This creates super straight lines..
I would say for the scanner on the helmet you can try and have a screw hold it rather tight so you can move it up and down. Makes the helmet even more impressive but i love the helmet!
I just discover your Chanel 2 days ago,i'm a french fan of sw, and i'm amaze about your job! It's so realistic! Congratulations, greetings from the french alps mountains ! You make us dream about a gallaxy far,far away ! Continue ! 👍👍💪🤯

Hello there! You're probably not going to see this, but I am new to 3d printing, and when printing a thing like this (I don't have a 3d printer but there is a branch of places where I can print files) i don't really know the best type of material or file to use. The materials I can choose from are 'PLA Plastic', Powder, Resin and 'ABS Plastic'. I want the helmet to be as durable as possible, so what material would you recommend? Also, there are only 3 different file types to print at that place- 'OBJ', 'STL', or 'WRL'. TL/DR What material and file do you recommend. If you (or anyone else who knows their 3D printing well) can anwser these questions, that would be sick.
Mate, 2 weeks watching your videos and now it is your fault that I have bought my first printer hahaha. Amazing job, I'm so jealous, hope in few months built a decent helmet. For sure I will buy yours designs, congratulations! Greetings from Spain.
it would be hard to set up like rly hard but it would be so cool to see a colab between you and hacksmith so you can see this perfect detail with the eyepiece actually zooming and working blasters and cool stuff like that
@Galactic Armory Love how you show off the complete process, the print, the prime, the sand, the paint, all of it. Makes me want to start making my own. It goes to show you're a Star Wars fan, I have never seen 3D print files under 50 or 100, blows me away. I want to ask, do you have plans on rendering the female mandalorian helmets? (Nite owl)
Hey, I have some questions about getting a 3D printer. I have been thinking about getting one and starting cosplay in general. I saw you recommended one but that one is out of stock, do you have either another recommended printer or basic features that a 3D printer should have? Thanks for any info! Btw any price between 100$ to 700$ US.
for alignment: could you test to print negative shells of the areas where the seems will be? not big parts but just enough material to guide the parts. then you could just add the glue and put on the shells. i imagine it would be much faster and more precise to connect pieces this way. I have no 3d printer so I'm coming forward to ask you about that.
I want to make the model in Blender myself so I'm asking, how did you managed to get the size of the helmet fit on your head? Is it something about printing part or should I do something else?
I was thinking of a way to make the helmet fit better. Have you ever thought of making some inflatable layer in the inside that can be inflated to press against the head to keep it tighter on the wearers head?
My favourite arc trooper skin in battlefront 2. But i use phase 1 version though. I dig the phase 1 helmet way more. Who would have thought clone armor would look so slick in black?

Thank you very much! It's a very fun hobby!
Gaspar Palacios i wish i could get one too but i am broke lol
@@Chasekartesz like how broke? you can easily get a cheap kit 3d printer for $200
If you go on Etsy you can usually order unpainted clone or stormtrooper helmets for fairly cheap as well.

Yep bro
An ender 3D printer is only about 200$, and has a very good print quality, and the Prusa Mini is around 350$, also with excellent print quality
That helmet looks insane. Do you have a idea of when the helmets would come back in stock
A few weeks most likely. Printing is a slow process unfortunately

@@GalacticArmory I would seriously consider buying one if you made more. How much do they usually cost?
