Very nice. Happy to get a tutorial I can follow along from start to finish without feeling like an stupid at any point 😂. Thanks for such a great content.

Thanks for the tutorial. I have a very simple question. At 11:06 how do you auto populate the }else{ code? Or was that just skipped forward in the edit?

It's just edited, you can see the same cut on the previous line with "i@stopped=0;". I bet there are autofill functions for things like what you're looking for.

Hey Christopher, I believe, on the Remap for coat amount, the OUT values must be switched? To: Outlow 1 / Outhigh 0?
So the high end (raw clay) has zero coat and the low end (glaze) has full coat? Cheers and thanks for a great tutorial. 😍

I feel like something is wrong with the UVs, as the voronoi is very very fine, no matter what i set the frequency to.

Entagma, what are the main features / design choices missing from Blender in order for it to compete with Houdini in terms of simulation and the other things you do on this channel?

This specific tutorial can be replicated in Blender almost entirely, with dynamic paint and some dark GN magic. Or everything in GN if you can get the hair solver worked. The problem is the VDB part, Blender just added it in GN and the volume modifier is pretty rough. The best you can do is trying to get a base mesh and pass it to sculp to make some manual adjustments. But if you want it animated, forget it. It is not possible.

cool video, but very poor narration, specifically the stilted tone is completely disconnected from the content

Remember that this is free. If you don't like it don't see. Maybe it is not for you. For the rest of us this tutorial is pure gold.
