This is nuts. I remember racing you when I was a runner at fernandina beach high school. I honestly haven’t been keeping track of the scene but I see now you’ve stayed in incredible shape. So cool to see. Subscribed!
I'm interested in what stretches you do before and after a run? And how many calories do you eat in a typical day? Also, what happens when there's a power failure while you're sleeping in your altitude tent?
I am a 409 miler and all I have to say is that what works for him might not always work for someone else especially calories try to find your own meals and your own routine!
Nice video! Great to see a young college student making TH-cam videos. I feel like a lot of the times we can get self conscious about our peers and friends watching these, but you're doing great!
I am quarantining right now and I have been watching a ton of your running content. It has for sure lifted my spirits. 🙌Good luck in outdoor this year!
Personally, I always started my week on Sunday. Makes perfect sense to me although have had friends who liked to end the week with Sunday so they had the option to make up any miles missed during the week. Decades ago, when running 100 miles per week always aimed at getting 50 in by the end of Tuesday; ease down to 50 in the last four days as opposed to 50 in the first three days.
Nice to have an overview of your running week :) I will try to get back to running again but this time, much slowlier to avoid any more injuries. Waiting for my t-shirts from your shop!
Good, all good...a Senora Hermosos Zapatos writes in to the CH hotline bot an says how she runs a 'Tiny Shoes' kiosk, every week... in downtown Choccolocco...!
Funny I was recommended this, I believe I first heard your name when I was at state my freshman year. I’m in Montana now and have been on quite the wild and different journey from then. You’re like a relic of the past😂
Hey Charles - a fellow Brit here! I used to run for county (U13s) many moons ago, and you've inspired me to get back training again, now in my 30s, aiming for sub-17. It's so useful to look back and hear how you structured your training enroute to NCAA and European triumphs. Shame not to see you on Strava these days, but I hope all's gone well since turning pro. I'll be rooting for you at the upcoming Europeans, and to take down Jakob (or 10k field) in Paris! 🥇🇬🇧
congrats on the team hitting 13:30-40’s last friday! love u charles

How do you avoid shin splints running so much?
he ramps up super slow and has a good diet.
Also ice baths help a lot
have a good form
You only get shin splits when you are new to running or starting out at low mileage. After a year or so you shin bones and muscles remodel.
@@sessarichard not true lol, i’ve been running competitively for 6 years now and still deal with shin splits

Increase mileage slowly
I live in Hampstead and last week I jogged passed another jogger (female) wearing a distinctive Stanford baseball cap.....
Ayy, that's right by me, do you train at parliament hill track?
I also jogged passed Emma Watson on the Heath once.....
