We got our hands on the Z-axis accessory for the DJI Osmo which is designed to reduce vertical shake while on the move.
So we thought, we better to test it than on a set of stairs.
Check out our blog post for the full write up: www.rcgeeks.co...

Purely from an "im also an aspiring movie maker" point of view, i can't love how perfect and well put together this vid was ENOUGH 👏 No boring downtime needed to click through, literally EVERYTHING I wanted to see about this accessory in relation to the Osmo, and all in a friggin MINUTE IN A HALF??? God sent you to the rest of us, RC Geeks ❤ stay classy

The difference is subtle, but worth it IMO. Thanks for the vid. Straight, simple and to the point with a good demo at the end.

Thanks for the "before and after" at the end. It's made me think that the osmo is good enough without it as I didn't see a big enough difference.

yah you can edit that so little difference.

Once you start seeing "head bob" you will always notice it, and the Z-axis does a great job removing it.

yes , and he did it ON PURPUSE... old sales man tactics

Yeah if you are not really meticulous and legit film maker you won’t consider this. :) because if you are legit, you will now that warp stabilizer is not enough to bring out the best of it. :)

Once you have the osmo for a while and look at a lot of footage, the z axis becomes more and more desirable.

Can I add a Rode Videomicro mic to this exact setup? I figure I could snap it to the back of the phone holder? Very helpful video by the way! Thanks

Thanks for the comparison with and without axis. Is it worth the 150 upgrade?? Not in my opinion.

I think it's down to how much care and effort you want/don't want to put into your shots. In my honest opinion, if you make a conscious effort to cushion your movements in your arm and wrist, you'll do fine without the z-axis. Check out the blog post in the link though for more details!

Attention: the difference is subtle because the operator climbed the ladder with the knee slightly flexed. This is the way of walking recommended by DJI. He should have tested walking erect.

Blake Reviews Stuff This system works mechanically so it doesn't drain battery or did you mean you rather buy batteries?

    • @blakegeezy
      @blakegeezy 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

BandOfBros I wasnt sure if it used battery life or not. just the basic osmo battery life is kind of crappy. =/.

If this video is not for you, then why you searched for it? Just skip this video and buy your battery.

Do you have a solution to mount an OSMO+ w/ z-axis rig to a tripod? I would like to have a way to quickly go from my handheld z-axis setup to a tripod quickly without tearing everything down.
