How can you hear the click of torque wrench with all that grunting going on. 🤪.
You’ve earned a nice cool drink with that one. Well done.

Hey Jim I been watching all your videos on the CRDS. I’m a heavy equipment mechanic and work on BIG diesels every day all day. I have a 06 Liberty CRD and it started making a popping noise. First I went ahead and changed the water pump and timing belt. Started no problem but noise was still there. I decided to go into it. Now it won’t start. As if it has no compression. I think I may have broken valve. I’m going to do a compression test tomorrow. Do you work on these often. Seems to me your very savvy in this department. Maybe I’ll take it to you and you can tackle it. I’m in Ca. and have family in Glendale AZ. I’ll put it on a trailer and take it to ya.

Can you tell us why you replaced the head gasket? miles / how man? or blown and burning antifreeze? thanks

I had the timing belt slip, piston 4 came in contact with the valve and broke a rocker arm. I had to rebuild the top end.

@@daytonagrayghost thanks Jim, I am considering buying the CRD with a blown head gasket, was wondering if it was a common thing.
