    “Hardcore enthusiasts” - I call us crazy! So many “unique” things about this engine. I had all the same problems you did when I bought mine with 135k miles. I did all the stuff you did and it’s running good now- 190k miles. The cam/intake/rocker cover is ridiculous piece, esp to install.

    Like the video , asking for some help I have a 06 with a no start. The condenser fan turns on as soon as I turn the key on . I can see the coolant temperature sensor at 495 degrees. The engine cranks but does not start . I am think the ecm has a problem. But maybe you can help . Thanks in advance.

      @@hectorestrada5751 Is your fuel system pressurized and purged of air. Use the bleed valve and prime bulb on the top of the fuel filter to check for fuel and bleed the air.

    It is a mistake to use the ARP head studs. American Racing Products does not recommend their products for the CRD engine. The kits that you get from retailers are specified by the retailers themselves; ARP simply fills the orders and has performed no research and development work on the CRD engine because there are not enough CRD engines in the North American market to justify the R&D expense.

      Thanks for your comment and the data you sent regarding the ARP studs. I made my decision to go with the ARP studs on data from several sources. I was on the fence about it and can see both sides. What sealed my decision was when my local machine shop encouraged me to go with the ARP studs.

    I have the same Jeep, wondering if I should do EGR Delete....do you have any info on that?

      I can't find one. My EGR to manifold pipe is cracked and no replacement for that either but it is rigged up and been working.

      @@daytonagrayghost Sounds like dry bearings inside. Do I have to replace the whole thing or can the bearing inside be swapped out? I only ask that because the part is on avg $400 or not available at all. I think also it might have something to do with little cabin heat?

    • @daytonagrayghost
      @daytonagrayghost  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@beinthenowmedia7638 I am not sure if they can be rebuilt. Someone on the Liberty CRD Facebook page makes a delete kit for the viscous heater. Perhaps they know if the bearing can be rebuilt. Does it make the noise when only engaged? Perhaps it's the clutch?

      @@daytonagrayghost I'm not 100% sure, I've read a lot because I'm not an expert and others have listened to it so I'm just going off that. Looks like I'll have to replace the whole thing. I requested the fb group. Hopefully I'll learn more about my jeep there as well. Thank you for your responses.
