I think you really missed an excellent segue: "You know what's always filled to the brim with fresh blood? That's right, our patreon!"
I was expecting him to say that! 😂
I love how each unit for this army has a pretty unique scheme, yet they look pretty unified when together.
YOOOO KRAKDUK I LOVE UR STUFF
@@nomber1duc562 hey dude! Thanks, I appreciate that!
Nice to see you here!
@@ChaseDaOrk3767 hey man it’s nice to see you here too. I often listen to eons of battle while I draw for my videos lmao
@@KrakDuk Nice!
jay quick tip. you can use old molds or silicon bits to take up more volume to make your mileage longer
Kitbashing content is by far my favorite, hell yes
We should all be talking much more about that Pooper-Valve.... That's a new kind of kitbash, and I'm here for it.
Reminds me of that greentext where anon runs into someone at his LGS who drilled anuses into his thunderwolves
@@skeeter5076 I don't want to see that guy's browser history.
Finally more Drukhari! I love it!
Your Body, my Man is a M A C H I N E!
A Machine that paints Miniatures! Incredible quality, incredible creativity! LOVE IT
I would've recommended bringing some of those colors onto the armor or the cloth, but this is a testament to how characterful basing brings an army together more than anything else.
kitbashing is fun and makes your army unique.
i mostly do it when i get some spare things.
got a plan on getting the Dread Talon box and then getting the HH jump marines, would get me up to 10 Raptors and 10 warp talons, and with a twist on the Raptors. :D
then i will get the HH Cataphractii termies and use the shields from the HH jump marines and get some hammers and i got some special assault marines for my Iron Hands.
With each of these I watch it just makes me want to do Drukhari as well
Fun fact: Talos have what can be best described as "reverse 3d printers" integrated in them to pick the freshest ingredients from living specimens! :D
That paint scheme is so simple but so effective, brilliant work!
Didn't know about them, but good to know that some unit in the Eldars have hearts
that paint scheme sounded simple but turned out great, excited to see more
These are some of the best and coolest looking minis I've seen. The paintjob is so simple but it looks amazing 👌
Subscribed. I appreciate your channel. It keeps me excited to keep painting my Guard army.
Amazing content! The unique bases ties it all together beautifully.
Your vids are a calm corner in an otherwise unrelenting life
Jay, this army is looking fantastic! Honestly, some of your best work! I cant wait to see any and all additions to it!
so good! your dark elder army is by far my favourite project you've ever made!!
I was the same with necrons, was always a space marines player until I got some crons to paint. Had so much fun doing the glow effects and the pulsing energy on their weapons that I main them now.
Man all of your projects are so artistic, from the kitbashing to the painting, through the base to the lore, everything makes sense and it's awesome !
I absolutely love the way these turned out, the exposed muscle is good
Thanks for the video. I've built/ kitbashed 5 Talos and 2 Cronos so it's really fun to see Jay's thought out and involved process for these mini's
If you loved the engeniering for the movable scapel you will love the engeniering in gunpla, could even be an interesting video
I found a 90s battleforce box on Marketplace, it was missing the ravager but boy those old minis hit different Love your kitbash
they are perfect to last detail
Excellent conversion.
These all look fantastic! 🤩
I did find myself wishing you added wetness to their exposed muscles, though!
First video of yours I watch. Your contagious enthusiasm had me smiling throughout 😊. Going to look into mould casting, looks like fun!
Jay's Talos did not skip leg day, no siree bob, it did not.
What a great looking army.
Even though they have a different color scheme you did a great job tying them into your army via the bases. I think the bases really tie together the idea that they're one force, on the same battle feild
This is a very good video, showing lots of details of how you are assembling and painting your minis. Subscribed.
As far as the different color schemes go, with the Drukhari they actually make sense. You have the Archon forces, the Witch forces, and the Haemonculus forces, each of which can have their own paint schemes. Not to mention the various smaller groups like Scourges, Hellions, Reavers, and even (if you can find them) Beastmasters. So it makes a bit of sense to not have a complete army wide color scheme if your Drukhari army has elements from different groups.
Thank you for all of the content! I am just getting back into the hobby and you have motivated me to start posting my own work, much support from a small fish in a large pond.
Love the dark eldar video, haven't got to painting mine yet, but everything is built
Dude you are so tempting me to dig out and finish my Dark Eldar Dread Pirates...
Keep it up these are great! Definitely gets my hobbying mojo flowing!
I just painted a Talos myself and I followed the gw colour scheme but I really like the red version you did. It’s crazy how cheap drukhari are lol I have like 4 boats and 40 infantry models and it’s somewhere like 900 points
Absolutely inspiring stuff! They all turned out great!
Loving this series. So much creativity!
More kitbashing !!!!!!!! Def. With black templar's and necrons I need ideas lol
I know it's just an ad but if you're into audiobooks give the expanse a listen, it's very clever scifi with really good description, properly got my hobby juices flowing
Looks great! Can't wait to see the rest of the army!
That skaven kit is also perfect to kitbash CSM Obliterators and Mutilators.
Ive recently become obsessed with my homebrew kabal of Drukhari that escaped the fall in a stolen Craftworld. ...and a word document that expanded on drukhari culture since there isnt enough of that.
I love kitbashing. I have very few models that aren't customised in some way...I can't help it. I'm addicted.
These turned out really awesome. I think if I ever get into Dark Eldar, instead of painting it like leather, I'd make it look like their own flayed skin, because I feel like that would be on brand for these guys.
Great addition to the colour scheme
No desire to ever do this, or play tabletop 40k, but I love watching these.
Conversion /Kitbashing videos are my favourite!!
If you wanna try some paint mixes with the AP 2.0 speed paints... slap some of the red into Enchanted Steel. It creates the BEST metallic color ever, a really rich, deep violet that looks absolutely beautiful as armor or weapons.
Why use skaven-rats to make elf-things better when you could just use skaven yes-yes
Those dark elves looking fire!! Love that bipedal talos!! You have some great kitbashes!! Thanks gents!! Fantastic as always!!!
98 points! Awesome! I wonder how many Miniac has? I dunno because he's yet to post a video about it.
Oingo Boingo are the best. I love Danny Elfman so much!
Honestly I feel that dark eldar have been "just kitbash it" and I think it was 5th edition codex that basically told you to kitbash as much as you can. And personally I would never buy crotesques not when it was new and espcially not now that its failcast.
That said, really neat conversions and really like the walking Talos.
Dude - these look great excellent stuff. You are making me think about making my own bases too.
Love to see some Coven of the Twelve Color Scheme representation!!
I thought your answer to what better place to find more blood was going to be your patrion plug for the episode. Also what about applying a gloss varnish with a drop of red ink over there fleshy parts as a final step?
Awesome, looking forward to some news on your old world beardy doods as wel
Army is looking fantastic!
WOW I can't believe this. I've been thinking how the Stormfiends would make great Talos / Cronos units forever.
The paint scheme really gives off Lord Zed vibes from power rangers, they look great!
This is pretty cool, loving the heck out of this.
those bases are so inspiring!
Another EoB video its a good day
I will add, the Wracks can be terrifying - or they could be, at least. I don't know how they play now, but their liquefiers used to be a 4+ poison template with d6 AP - which meant that if you rolled a 1 and a 2, they could absolutely *melt* a unit of your sister's Blood Angels >:3
Please do emperors children video soon
Some real Colossal Titan vibes with that paint scheme
Legged pain engine is awesome. Although the point of kitbashing is saving money, not spending twice as much !!! XD
Weird question, what are you using to stick stuff down to your wood blocks?
It looks like some kind of tape 🤔
Is it possible for someone to point me in the right direction of those Grostque proxys cause im a massive fan of them and couldn't find them
0:41 I SAY THEE NAY! ‘TIS A PILE OF OPPORTUNITY!!
New drinking game...every time he says perfect or cool or nice, take a drink
Broadsword silver is one of the best metallic paints ever made!
I mean, brass helmets and weapons would tie Q1 and Q2 together because your previous models don't have any cold metalics (outside of highlights)
I’m painting a swarm of Skaven clanrats right now. I feel your pain. Each rat is 5 points
How dare you make me snort a laugh with the butt handle! I have a sinus infection! xD
This whole series has made me want to start a Dark Eldar army so bad. 😅
Such a cool army dude!
Thanks for the inspiration on the metallic armor. Want to do something similar for my Kharadron Overlords. BTW you might want to keep Scott from watching this with your super secret battle plans 😅
When money is not an issue 😅 Great work!
I miss the old creepy scorpion style talos from 3rd ed - but this conversion is pretty fun! p.s. Milliput is water soluble so you could have washed it out.
that converted talos is siiiiiiiiiiiick
Loved the egg salad shoutout
Great work!
Jay, those turned out great!
So uh, when are we going to see the Dark Templar conversions?
"...and after about 10 minutes the mould was rock hard.."
you know what's also rock hard? thats right .........
I love that your Eldar get their bright, colorful armor while their science experiments only get cold steel, blood, and dirt
the army is looking banging
I just saw that Talos last night in the 40K Rogue Trader game
Just great, Jay!
new channel name "I am the homunculus"
Where did you get those Grotesques stand ins?
Artel W
Just a note, I think you're overcomplicating working out how much silicone you need.
Assuming it's a 1:1 silicone mix - Fill the mould with sand, transfer that sand to a cup and mark a line. Then weigh the cup of sand, and weigh out half of that amount in sand and mark a line. Now you've got two lines on your cup, one for the first part of the silicone and one for the second part.
When you're figuring out the volume for filling your moulds, all that matters is the volume, density of the substance doesn't make a difference. Whenever the sand comes up to in your cup is exactly how much total silicone you will need in your cup to fill the moulds, it's no more complicated than that.
As you're doing it now, water weighs 1g/cm3, and silicone weighs 2.33g/cm3. This means Silicone is 2.33x denser than water. When you're weighing the correct volume of water, you're getting a much lower number than you would weighing silicone of the same volume.
What brand you use for the quick-curing resin?
It's actually one of the rules that warhammer players follow to not reveal what resins they use, look up 'warhammer rule 34' to find out more
Oingo Boingo are amazing!
You should also listen to The Buggles! Love your work man
So what about the Archon and Drazhar from quarter 1?
