Built in 1952, Lizzi's traditional colonial home has been masterfully transformed into an inviting space designed for entertaining and creating lasting memories. Lizzi's unique touch is evident in every room, where brass and antique silver accents add a subtle sparkle, and nods to equestrian influences create a harmonious blend of classic elegance and whimsy.
What sets Lizzi's home apart is not only its stunning design but also the intentional approach she takes to foster an environment where people linger and stay. Embracing the country lifestyle, the house radiates warmth with a chintz explosion and a color palette featuring celery hues, rich browns, and playful prints. Despite residing there for only two years, Lizzi has artfully layered the space with a sense of history, incorporating inherited pieces and heirlooms to achieve a timeless aesthetic.

@@jr-pr9lwI designed and built a Tuscan home in Cali. I was forced to put canned lights in the bathrooms and hallways. I included wall sconces in the original design and just never use the canned lights.
I knew there was something special about this lady: how she sashays up to the front door at the start, how she elegantly sat down and arranged her skirt...yep..her mother was a fashion model....the apple doesnt fall far from the tree. This host is so gracious and relaxed, comfortable in her own skin, practical, realistic and warm. I agree and give a nod to: everything doesn't have to match perfectly. She does it "her way". The appreciation for family heirlooms is so refreshing. Thx, Homeworthy.

I love that she sees the value in an older home that maybe doesn’t have the huge magnificent entryways or vaulted ceilings throughout the home that’s the popular trend, yet her style is excellent, realistic, and demonstrates she values classic traditional “never gonna go out of style” style. I am in love with this and will be watching over and over! Stunning home! Her personality is calm but knowledgeable and would be excellent to work with!

It is obvious that you can afford all brand new expensive furniture and decor but you choose to have family heirlooms and family possessions that have a story and memories. I just wanted to mention that your two brown/white chinoiserie arm chairs in your living room with the kinda faux wood rims were made by Century in the 1980's. I bought six of them in 1983 for my kitchen and still have them. I enjoyed your home tour.

Thank you Homeworthy! This home is exquisite, the homeowner is brilliant and it’s one video I shall watch again. Lizzie has been well taught by her mother to appreciate good furniture regardless of where it was bought, and a comfortable chair can be reupholstered many times. I too am a strong believer in buying good furniture and giving it a new life (but I don’t paint wood!) I loved listening to her speak of her husband, their happiness shone through in her words which brought a genuine smile to my face. When a home is furnished with that kind of love, you know it will be warm and inviting and though this one is extremely elegant, it’s not so precious that guests will be scared to touch anything. Well done Lizzie, your home is stunning.

WHat I really loved was when she said... there were no short cuts..it took a lot of hard work and passion and hours on planes. It is so easy to be envious of women like her, that look like they have it all. But like she said... she sees an opportunity and goes for it. I haven't done that , so my life looks very different. She is a perfect example of Life Is What You Make IT!

The sense of style and the way that so many personal items, antiques, fabrics and prints have been gathered together to create such beauty and comfort is amazing. I just really love how all her stuff is pre-loved or family heirlooms. I love that she mixed whatever she wanted because she loved it. The home is very beautiful and feels cozy. Kudos to her, she seems very lovely.

Stunning home and owner. So many beautiful pieces of furniture and decorative items. I love that nothing is for best, the china and silverware is used daily, same in our house. Of course its upsetting when a plate gets broken, but it could easily never be seen and broken the first time its used. I'd much rather have seen and enjoyed it many times. I like that her children are learning to appreciate handling these items too. Would love to have seen bedrooms and bathrooms too.
