Your channel recently popped up while I was looking for a spyderco video and I have to say this is one of the most entertaining channels that I have seen a while. I really do get a kick out of these story time videos. Keep doing what your doing
JGL25 Is you can not even get a new card phone or email or call it it is a good thing one of the other two days that you would like it to be a valid question or if I have had a question for that question I have a no idea what about you the one that you can have a good time and you do have everything or no more you want me and I don't want you and I want you and i was the time way to go get and I just have made it so you have no one ☝️ was your name is not a good one ☝️ I will never do it so you can i just a you can make it it will is not really that bad you just feel bad so 😞 I like dont was the best way for me to get my nails and shoes 👠 was that a way to do it I it just ygot was I just got a to the heck I want you to be happy to do with it that you mean can I you be the kind one ☝️ of the year old school and I then i got was
Thank you very much Jeff for the great advice. I've never met you but i really respect you and look up to you a lot. Keep up the great videos. Love your channel
Enjoyable story, Jeff! While I'm quite a bit older than you, the story definitely reminded me of when I was a kid trying to scheme ways to ditch school. The point about having to suck it up and do what you don't want to do is VERY valid. That's part of being an adult and it's something that most of us have to do every day. Over the decades that I've been adult, I've learned that to beat that feeling, I just need to "do it" rathern than think about how badly "I don't wanna".
I'm 6th grade one day this kid puked all over the floor and they janitor cleaned it up and the day went on and the kid went home. The next morning I said to my mom "mom I can't go I'm gonna get Ebola from that kid!" She said something like he won't be there... Spoiler alert! He was and he went home and threw up again. Thanks mom.
Man I remember when this video came out. I was 10 years old and the part about the icicle hair still cracks me up. Thanks Jeff I’ve always enjoyed your videos.
Beautiful Story Jeff! It made me laugh a couple of times and thanks for sharing your life. You should do a bunch more. And in case you wanted to know. Here in the Los Angeles are it goes 1-5 Elementary 6-8 Middle School and 9-12 Highschool. But now they are making elementary 1-8 well some at least.
Watched this video along time ago. Been watching your videos for for 10-11 years (other than music videos i was watching yours and nutnfancy, urbanprepper videos back then). Always great content
That's awesome story man I remember I used to try to pull the "im sick" story with my dad and it never worked only once he let it slide but other than that he would be a good parent and demand me to get my hinny up and get ready hahaha
LMAO! I cracked up when you showed how you pouted! Nice videos Jeff! I was laughing the whole time. Something really fun to sit down and watch. Keep it up! :)
I think cutlerylover has some some really solid advice, being old enough to be his parents age, I think more teens and even twenties should listen. Life doesn't follow your rules, you will pay for not doing your best, and that is just the harsh reality.
That was an awesome and hilarious story Jeff. I was wondering if you have any free time, can you go to that hill you talked about in Milford and show your old house. Maybe you can even do a run up the hill and do a run for old times sake haha. Anyway Jeff, awesome video make more!
Excellent advice man - school may seem shit at the time, but later in life, you realise just how important it is. Not only for education, but for life lessons too.
Great story Jeff. You're right. I was a teacher and kids are very disrespectful and a lot of the time parents back them up when you try to point it out to them instead of punishing them.
hey, jeff im following you for quite along time now and i thought i'd say keep up the good work! i subbed for the zippo's and still love them, but the other stuff you put on still interests me. please make more zippo vids :) oh and i'll do my best in school!
I skipped about 2 months of school in 4th grade. NOT proud of it. Not even a joker. I was the smartest kid in class at the time (ugh 6th grade found someone smarter). My friends kept call my house and leaving messages and I'm like, "Ugh just let me stay here!" After those 2 months my dad apparently got a call. Called me while at home. I didn't know what to say. Got truancy court. Got yelled at. Mom wasn't happy cuz I had to go to school earlier because I had to go to T-court. I LOVED it. Gave me free stuff. In 5th grade, never missed more than 2 days. Got sick. And when Asians get sick, THEY GET SICK. "Karma," I said when I was sick. It was, of course, a field trip to the zoo. I love these story times. Keep doing it Jeff :3
both me and my principle are into cameras and we are both a bit nerdy, so every time I go to his office about classes(I did pretty much no homework in junior high, so im trying to show the teachers that I should be in higher classes than I should) we get distracted talking about a new *to him* old school camera, or a new nerdy piece. During the summer, when I ran in to him at the local grocery store we ended up talking about his new klingon cosplay costume. I find my principal pretty awesome, and im honored that my class will be the last graduating class of his career.
Jeff this story really helped me turn my life around in 4th grade I got sent to the principals office and missed the whole month of april now almost in 6th grade I have only been sent to the office once and that was to have lunch with the principal thanks
yay! story time! when i picture mr camp in my head, i think of my old scout master which fits your description. i'm scared of him too. don't worry jeff, we all know how you feel
@JustinSaneSpaceCadet sorry never had a natural 2 in my hand...contact noodlesthecat100 and ask him I knowe he had one he cna give you good info and his opinion
I watched the 23min and it made me feel real great. Made me remember my childhood days. I think we are born pretty much the same year. I'm born in 1988
I'm 13 and I stayed home a lot last year and the year before and I did for 9 days straight and my principal came to my house one of those days. Unfortunately I wasn't awake when he knocked on the door. I have met a police officer who is more than willing to take me to school as well. I hope that that won't be necessary in the future. I enjoyed hearing about your experience and find that I can relate to it.
I skipped ALL the time in high school. But I was buddy buddy with the attendance lady and brought her food so she would always go into the system and change me from absent to present. it was the best.
The message, stay in school. Yes you should at least make it through elementary and high school. Don't go to college if you don't want to. Do if you want to. Not all college or high school graduates are successful. Some drop outs are successful. Vice versa. I'm not encouraging dropping out of school. Just pointing out a fact. If you want to be successful, get an education and use whatever talents you have to make money or get a job or even a career.
I remember once in kindergarten, in 2001, I missed the bus. I was 6 years old, and my dad had actually told me, since it was friday, when he would usually pick me up, to ride the bus that day. Anyway, my teacher, Ms. Oakley, actually drove me to my house. She was the best. went to school in a very rural area, there was absolutely no way I could walk home. I actually went to another year of kindergarten at that school, since i started late in the first year, and I had the best teacher!
It is soo true these days, im a sophomore in highschool and kids just sit back and dont give a crap about it and then they would get yelled at and stuff and get sent to the office and they cuss the teacher out before leaving.
My school gave us 18 days. In 4th grade, I missed 71 days. I always complained that I was sick and usually I was, but it would be very small. I may have had a little small stomach ache, or a general cold. We had to get the teachers to say I deserved to go to the 5th grade.
Yes i was much like you as a kid i was sickly with allergies and ashma so i did miss a lot of school. But there were many Mondays which i hated the worst and walking in snow up to my knees in Canada in the 70"s was not fun teachers used to call home but never did i have a principal come to my house! That would have been scary back then! Good story!
Wow you and me had pretty much the exact same school experiences in school, except (heh heh) my principle would have never made out to my place in that little smart car of hers.
Can anyone explain this to me? So you get the site and buy the knife, but how? You couldn't of had a credit card being so young so how did you do it with out getting caught
I remember back in 8th grade I used to do something similar I'd pretend like I'm walking to school but I'd turn down a different road and go to a Subway close but and buy myself breakfast and then by the time I'd come back my parents would be gone so I'd hang out in my house and then usually my dad would come home around lunch time so I'd go back to subway and get lunch and hang out around the little strip mall where the Subway was until my dad left. Then I'd sneak back and just relax. xD
You weren't that bad, I missed over 130 days senior year, and still graduated. The only class I ever failed was medical terminology, and that was because I was too busy talking to my girlfriend, who is now my wife. She is also the person who forged the notes for me at the end of the year so I would be excused.
@dannywithnoodles its an assumption that cant be proven true...take this example...a leaky pot will burn you...a leaky pot will never ever burn you but if you boil water in it and drip some on you you will be burned as a result of the leaky pot, but a leaky pot still cant burn you
It's really too bad that the cool bus drivers and teachers always get crap. Had a pretty cool band teacher, but in my high school years when he didn't teach my class but sometimes had to sub for it he always seemed ticked off. I knew it had to be because kids thought they could take advantage of him. I had a really nice bus driver too back in middle school always liked me and the others on my stop(last stop), and he always asked why the other kids couldn't be like us.
Sounds like a good principal. He taught you a good lesson, and saved you a lot of trouble in the future.
precisioninstruments the fact that he didn't miss anymore school because of his principal.
So this is the first "Story Time"? Awesome if it is. Ever since I've discovered your channel these have been my favourite videos.
I believe it is!

Love stumbling across these old videos every now and then. Brings back memories, I remember watching these videos back on Highschool.

For whatever reason anytime I’m feeling sick I always wind up watching your story time videos.
I love this story because it shows how one person can go out of his way and really make a difference in someone else's life.
I remember watching this video the first time I skipped school, and I still vividly remember my adrenaline rush.
Man I remember when this video came out. I was 10 years old and the part about the icicle hair still cracks me up. Thanks Jeff I’ve always enjoyed your videos.
You're a really good story teller. Glad you're letting the kids know what they should do to become successful

Exactly why I love college, night classes for the win. Though I really should do something to change my sleep schedule =/.
