Community college is a great option if you skeptical about going to a four-year school or don’t know what you want to do. At the very least, you can complete a general ed path which can open you up to various fields. It’s also cheaper and allows you to transfer after two years if you want. I knew what I wanted to major in at my community college, but the general ed requirements allowed me to discover my interests in sport in society and humanities.

Everyone should start off at a 2 year school and not overpay for a 4 years university

I'm a huge supporter of not pushing kids into college immediately unless they know they want a career that requires college. If not, I think it's important to get to explore other options first before putting so much work into a degree

Let me introduce you to liberal arts colleges. Where you have to take classes on every subject and you just have time ti decide. Truly great stuff. Don’t let the word liberal scare you

@@TheTrueJesusChrist Nah, all the forced and unrelated classes of a liberal arts college made me feel less passionate so I transferred where there are less seemingly random classes. My major is math and I didn’t want to take 2 philosophy classes, 3 theology classes, 2 social sciences, etc. Maybe the social sciences would have been ok, but many of the required classes bothered and demotivated me.

Old school parents be like : "You gotta go to college. It's the only way to get a job".
Me be like : "I'm leaving. Bye".

its because of internalized misogyny. if you ask them the same question but this time with a guy dressed similar to her they would immediately agree.

It’s probably to make the people who didn’t go to college feel a bit better I guess
