    Both my parents grewup in Pottsville a block down from Yuengling Brewery (born late 1950's and moved out in the 1980's). I have 4 generations of Reading Railroad workers on my Dad's side of my family. My Dad remembers watching Freight and passenger engines from the times of the Reading Lines passing throught that same location and he boarded a Budd RDC at Pottsville Station when he was with the choir at Nativity BVM High School to go to Philadelphia. My Dad and I sometimes pass by Pottsville Jct. when visiting my Grandmother or while on the way to visit my Grandfather's grave (my Grandfather was for a,short time a brakeman on Reading GP-30's, my Dad remembers how long of a time my Grandfather would be away since he went all the wat to the State of Delaware with the Reading Lines).

    Thanks a lot for this video! It was like going home for me. I lived in Port Carbon from about 1933 until 1941, when we moved to the big city - Pottsville. Many of my fondest childhood recollections are from the Port Carbon days. The house we lived in on Jackson Street had been my grandfather's. He was an engineer on the Reading, working out of the St Clair yard so I was bound to be a train fan. The Palo Alto wye was my favorite train-watching spot. The switches on the wye were operated from the big brick switch tower that stood in in the center. Just to the east of the wye there were remains of the Schuylkill Navigation canal boat loading docks. Great time and place to be a kid. I have a number of old photos and a lot of recollections of those days. Too much for me to share in this format. Would an email connection be possible? Thanks again for your videos. I enjoy them,

    amazing to see the Lehigh Valley red and the Conrail blue showing through the Green paint on that pup.

      Sure is! I know for sure that 802 still has clear Lehigh Valley red showing in some of its internal ports like the sand compartment

    Does PNPV run on a schedule or is it hit or miss?

      I believe they run on a schedule, but the industries on the run are done when they are needed. So not every one is serviced every day. Also not sure which days exactly it runs
