🎉 Weldone Lamgbo. Thank you so much for following up on this till this commercial test run. Red Line Metro have come alive. Congratulations to Lagos State government.
I love the interior, especially the hand rest, the chairs are more comfortable for your back than the plastic chairs you see in those filthy New York train, well done our awesome Governor.❤❤❤
Keep it up Gbolahon..You may not know it, You have become a strong voice on Lagos to the whole world. You and Ozed, you guys should meet and collaborate on how to take your game to the next level
Weldone my brother I am gbolahan God Almighty bless Lagos state government, this is great achievements, other state government should follow up, this is better than Airports that are not working after spending a lot of money like Ekiti state Airport
Weird seating configuration. Why are the seats so high? Blocks out natural light and sight lines. There may be temptation for younger passengers to stand on the seats to look out of the window due to their natural inquisitiveness. The aisle also looks pretty narrow partly due to the placing of the handrails. Any passengers with baggage may have a problem I think. But we still have to be grateful and I'm sure improvements will come and lessons learned.😊
@@Nurse_villathis trains are old trains and are the only available trains for purchase probably at a good buy as well. @@roberthabakkuk7875 this is good investment for Lagos state governor officials because people barely ride the trains they have now so it's smart to get these trains they are still nice old or not they get you from point a to point b safely that's what matter the person riding the train can't take it home with them so it shouldn't matter how it looks
Excellent interior. These are luxury train cars indeed meant for first class travellers. If these seats are in every car it's simply marvelous and Lagosians will be commuting first class. Now living in New York City, with dirty antiquated trains, I envy Lagosians, at least for now. I don't know about how they will look tomorrow though. I don't want to sound pessimistic but I sincerely hope that maintenance is made front and center of this groundbreaking metro rail service in Lagos.
Are there elevators or escalators down to the platform? I could only see stairs. What of people with mobility issues like the elderly etc. How are they expected to manage. Do correct me if I'm wrong on this.
The red line construction is proving to be the fastest major project to be started to this stage in Nigerian history. Kudos to Lagos government 👏🏾. But the train ugly small
The blue line is electric powered, therefore it will be alot more quiet. Compared to the red line that is powered by diesel locomotives. Furthermore, since there are two different types of locomotives in the line, they will definitely have different sound levels. But I think you will probably hear them more when you're outside the train than when you're inside. Honestly I think the main advantage of these trains is the amount of people it will take off our roads.
This train is NOT made for City Mass transit. Having overhead luggage spaces, and upholstery seats (which are harder to maintain) instead of plastic seats. It should have been properly refitted. Anyways, it is what it is. 🤷🏾♂️
Good job. But you can see the silly officials and their security services watching as some people are crossing the rails when the Redline is on. Check the video clip, they should have made a good example of the people I am seeing crossing the rail lines.
Omo, this upholstery is a no no for Lagosians. They should have made it plastic like the blue line. If you know Nigerians, you go understand. Their children will mess it up and start pulling out the foam, writing on the chairs and start removing the head rest. It looks really beautiful but I don't think Lagos state is ready for the maintenance of this upholstery.
@HaleyChain-vw8rr The redline shares rail tracks from Agbado-Ebute Metta and the rail tracks belongs to Nigerian Railway Cooperation (NRC) which is being used for the Lagos-Ibadan Train Service. In other words the rail tracks were constructed by Federal government and there’s no provision for electricity for now maybe it can be incorporated in the future.
Further proof this cars are not for intrastate travels. They are too big, not made for major traffic or congestion. They will ware out before the blue line
Poorly fitted train interiors . It will be thrashed in a few days . the interior should have plastic chairs to withstand the wear and tear of Lagos large population. who reviewed the trains after they were ordered ? did that person ask for the train to be retrofitted for use in Lagos ? LAMATA should pay attention to this and start training local staff for retrofitting and maintaining train interiors - Its not rocket science and can be done in Lagos . Good job so far LAMATA !

How does the Red Line train ride compare to the Blue Line with respect to noise, smoothness, speed, comfort, etc?
This is still a test ride, this comparison can be done when the redline starts commercial operations.
Good question but I have not experienced either of it so can only hope for people to share their experience while I wait to enjoy it

These arent the permanent trains. Electrified ones to come in the future
That's what they said in the UK - we're still waiting, and now you have our secondhand High Speed Trains.
What happened to the Talgo train they purchased from United States meant to be for red line
Give us new upates on infastructures in Ibadan, thanks
I will definitely, tell me what project you will like to see in Ibadan.
iwo road interchange, ibadan metro, the new park, etc
Pls tour dugbe, bodiga and akobo for infastructures
Love the train but the leg space is so small.everywhere is looking tight
Good one but people working on the track. Need to be looked into
Why you say that
Why aint they using the talgo the ome from USA?
Both the talgo and GWR trains will be use.
The Talgo can be seen in the beginning of the Video, on the left side of your screen
At least your commentary is quieter
Where is ozed?😅😅😅

why does the red and blue have different rolling stock, ? this is a red flag

Yeah, no secret..but LASG had to buy them cause they were cheap and available, so they remodeled the interior to accommodate more seats.
They too cheap, Lagos state got them for almost free, the Uk was ready to decommission them. Nothing wrong with getting them.
