Another great and informative video. I use isopropyl alcohol to clean my airbrush when I’m done spraying for the day. Do you see anything negative about using this?
Isopropyl alcohol works well to clean an airbrush. You may wish to flush with a little reducer before adding paint, but that's probably not required. Thank you.
That compressor.. "kind of overkill..." for the hobbyist.. LOL! I could probably not supply that 10hp monster with enough power.. Great video as always. If I could contribute with a tip for beginners; For spraygun application, don't go lower than 10-12 cfm.
Not many home painters can afford a compressor that pushes that much air. But there are guns out there that can do excellent spraying with a lot less CFM than that 10-12.
Quick question, im a bit confused about the wax and grease remover. You are using SX394 and SX320, the PPG website says they are both solvent, the SX394 is not waterbased.
For cleaning Createx paints soon after they've air dried tack-free, use a solvent -based degreaser (a milder, post-sanding type) such as PPG SX-320. We don't recommend a water-based cleaner for Createx paints, at least not until they've cured for several weeks. The SX 394 has never been really used at Createx. For most surface cleaning, soap & water, followed by a lint-free wipe wetted with 99& isopropyl alcohol works well. Thank you.
Hi I’ve been using createx for a while now and love the water based system. I had a couple of questions about the video. First is concerning the restorer. Basically what is it? I’ve never seen a liquid that doesn’t evaporate when left exposed to the air. I’ve had it completely melt a plastic plate. If you get it on your hands it takes some scrubbing with soap to get it off. I think people should be informed on safe usage and on disposal as it is not the kind of thing you want to pour down a drain. The second question is are the sprayed paint examples in the background of this video available to be purchased? Thank you
4008 Restorer is a biodegradable cleaner. For more information, please refer to its tech data sheet available at www.creatextech.com. The color references we paint are not for sale. Thank you.
Thanks very informative. BTW what's the name of that lime green on the top right side also the purple 3 steps under it and the darker one 1 step down and 1 over under the light blue... Thanks in advance. I bought two similar ones but were the pearl ones and the color doesn't look similar.
The top-right green is a mix made of Wicked W016 Apple Green mixed with W422 Hot Rod Gold & W443 Cosmic Sparkle Gold, wickedairbrushcolors.com/transparent. The other is W309 Wicked Pearl Teal. Thank you.
Can you suggest some alternative "mild solvent based degreasers" - the PPG you mention here I cannot find in the retail market and degreasers do not label themselves as "mild". I have already destroyed works with the wrong cleaner, looking for the right stuff..
Mild degreaser is meant to describe a post-sanding, solvent-based degreaser which is less aggressive compared to a pre-sanding, solvent-based degreaser which is designed to lift contaminants from scratches so they're not pushed further into the substrate while sanding. A post-sanding degreaser is what to use to clean water-based paint. Thank you.
can u please recommend a compressor for that mini spray gun you mentioned..i paint motorcycle fairings in my garage i cant afford the huge compressors ,as for airbrush i already have the silentaire compressor which i love, quiet and powerful ...thank you soo much for your channel and knowledge...🙏🏾
Great stuff. For an inline regulator : The two I have seem to allow a huge blast when I pull the trigger then quickly 'regulate' down to my set psi. Are there any that give you the set PSI the entire squeeze ? (Hope that makes sense)
We use Iwata inline filters. RTI also makes great filters; there's many options to choose from. The blast of air could be from having too great a psi difference between what's set at the compressor & regulator, try and set the compressor to be ~ 10 psi more than what the regulator is set at. Thank you.
These videos are some of the best instructional videos on TH-cam. Chris is so good at teaching this stuff.
Thanks for watching!
You provide a very valuable service to people like me - new to all of this. Thanks very much!
Thank you for watching!
Chris, thanks a lot for your great videos. They are so helpful and entertaining. :) I've already learned so much and hope to do so in the future.
thank you for watching
Lots of great info
Thanks Mike!

I missed you guys.
Thanks! Much more to come including 10 videos already uploaded onto our channel which are going public next week.
@@CreatexColors how do you rate using xylene for a air brush that's been very neglected and dirty.
Great video. Thanks.
Thank you for watching.
Do you have a link for the mini spray gun that you guys use with the tip to get it down to two CFM

A compressor that can maintain 2 CFM with an LPH-80 at Home Depot may work well and cost less. Measure the compressor performance by CFM. Thanks.
Amazon has a 3 gallon 4.0 CFM at 90 PSI stealth compressor at 68 decibels I absolutely love it

Can you use the airbrush restorer in an ultrasonic cleaner?
Not sure. If it has any platic parts its best not to. If its stainless steel, then no problem. Thank you.
Can you use 1.4 tip for my black basecoat with flake?
Yes, with most flake sizes such as Hot Rod Sparkle Colors, wickedairbrushcolors.com/pearl-flakes. Thank you.
@@CreatexColors thank you. Watch every video. Rather learn from the best.
