I went to an integrated school as a child.
    Had an incredibly racist mother.
It almost rubbed off on me, until I realized just what I was being told to say to other kids and... well, I changed my thinking.
Exposure to other races MATTERS in schools.

Nothing would have gotten passed because corporate interests control both parties, republicans would have won midterms bigly because Dems being labeled socialists is for some reason still a viable scare tactic in America, and then 2020 would have been the year of the MAGAt. Bernie does not have the state and federal support for his policies and realistically a Sanders presidency would be four years of lame duck politics that ends in a conservative sweep. We need a progressive party with strong local and state support to enact any lasting progressive policies in the USA, period.

As for all the complaints in the comment sections (I’ve looked at more than 3 comment sections) about an entire season being “dumped” at once, seriously this is what you’re complaining about?
For at least 10 days this channel has been announcing it was going to release Season 3 on June 30. My complaint is that they waited until the last moments of June 30th to release the episodes. I waited all day for them!

I'm not sure what you mean by "behind." If you mean the leading edge of the expansion of the universe, it's impossible to know. We have no idea where we are in the actual universe, just the observable one. It may be that expansion happens internally within spacetime causing dark energy, and the universe is already effectively infinite. Some believe there are infinite universes all hanging in an aether of absolute nothingness. Potentially the answer to your question is, whatever was around before the big bang

I am a millennial who went to high school in northern Michigan in the year 2000 and we had 700 people in my graduating class. I think maybe five of them were black. We lived in a community that did except a lot of migrants to work in the Cherry orchards so we did have a very large Hispanic community and we also had a reservation nearby so there were quite a few natives.
    Our school Top notch funding.
And lo and behold we had an entire group of boys who were on the football team who would put American flags and Confederate flags on the back of their trucks and parade around the school. I happened today a Hispanic man for 2 years and the stuff they said to me....
I grew up in a racist town. A town that used to celebrate diversity in a very hilarious way because a lot of the people in town were absolutely against diversity and would literally throw fits because the idea of our town being known as a welcoming place that accepts all ideology is very threatening to them

I went to district 51 schools in Colorado my entire life and did not learn anything around them or for them or from them , it was really only a few teachers which may god rest ones souls and may the others live happily
I had literally forced my school to make me work with their it technician because I was already smart enough to repair computers at the age of 15 , yet we had no technology or resources for me to use any of that information or knowledge to anything so I shut down and got depressed and did nothing even more commonly
Will covid-19 come around and I felt like I needed to actually start working
And my school gave me a laptop to try to work on school stuff
    Well..
I ended up being completely removed from district 51 systems completely and I'm now trespassed from thier properties
I was trying to turn in my work but they wouldn't turn in because the internet from my household was not good

The racial bias test taken by the little girl was ironically itself biased. When the person asked her to point to the good child, she pointed to the racially ambiguous child in the middle. However when the person asked her to point to the bad child, she pointed to the black one.
This doesn't mean that she has a bias against black people, stories throughout human history have used a dark colors to refer to things that are bad, humans are naturally afraid of the dark because bad things come out at night such as tigers and bears. This is basic evolutionary psychology, it's why almost every horror novel starts out with "a dark and stormy night."
I would've liked the person to ask the girl why she viewed dark as being bad, I'm positive that her answer would've had nothing to do with race. She didn't even refer to the child on the right as black, she referred to the child as "dark."
Also, the pictures on the right weren't even representative of actual black people since no one's skin is literally jet black as shown in the picture. Even the darkest black people are in fact dark brown.

John couldn't be more wrong here. In Jacksonville, I went to private catholic schools for my 6th-10th grade years, which were nearly free of blacks. In the recession, my dad took a pay cut and public school was it for me for my final 2 years of high school. Change was to be anticipated, but my God, the difference was appalling. There were entire classes I had that were little more than daycare for 16-year-olds. Zero instruction for weeks and weeks. I started leaving school in my car and going home last period every other day after taking roll. I ended up with a B & C in that class. Was never there. Teacher was oblivious to this. Black students were in so many cases uninstructive. Being loud, obnoxious, ruining the chance for teachers to instruct or for others to learn. They had a denigrating affect on everyone across the board. Some relief I found in my one AP class, but this was little consolation. Test scores from before segregation to now paint a similar picture. Whilst black test scores are up by a small amount, white student test scores are way down. Big time. For what its worth, funding was by no means the issue. If anything, the public schools got more money per student than the Private schools did. It would have been unthinkable for the catholic schools to have full-fledged automotive programs (which were seldomly used but equipped for comprehensive automotive repairs including auto body). For 13% of the population to have improved their test scores by a small amount for the majority of the population's children to have taken a significant decline in their test scores does not seem like a wise idea. People say that experiencing other races is important.... that it prevents racism. For myself it did the exact opposite. Being surrounded by large numbers of these people made me see them for what they are. Enjoy your day everybody ~
