Any tips on what I can do for it to register the wheel is moving. Again the wheel worked perfectly until I installed the Logitech gaming software then it just stopped recognizing the wheel is moving.
Yup, it sounds like Windows installed a update which caused an issue with the wheel. I would highly recommend that you do a complete driver uninstall from Device Manger and then uninstall the Logitech Profile. Disconnect the wheel from the PC, restart the PC and then reinstall Logitech software and then reconnect the wheel once the software says to do so.
You can play with this wheel but a controller is more desirable for a game like Asphalt 9 because of it's fast gameplay type. The steering wheel will be more enjoyable for games like Forza Horizon 5, Need For Speed Heat and other open world racing rims.
As a beginners "budget" wheels and pedals I would give it a 8. It's very affordable, easy to use and reliable. 1st, do you have a bright solid green light displaying on the shifter? This indicates that your power adapter is providing the necessary power to the wheel. If the light is dimmed, then that means your wheel is not receiving enough power from the adapter and thus you will have problems. If this is the case, you must power a new ac adapter which you can find on Amazon and eBay. 2nd, open Logitech Profiler and confirm if the wheel is detected and working (turn the wheel left to right) and see if the Logitech app detects movement. If it does not, uninstall Logitech Profiler, remove the Logitech driver from device manger, unplugged the wheel from your computer and restart. Connect the steering wheel and install everything in the order as displayed in my video @12:01. Once everything is installed, check Logitech Profiler to see if the steering wheel is moving. If it is, then keep Logitech Profiler open and launch your game. Check in your game to see if it see the wheel, if it does not then your game may not be compatible with the wheel or may require additional drivers for the game to detect it. What game are you playing BTW?

That's a really good price. I would ask the seller for the condition of the steeling wheel, pedals and shifter to get their statement that everything works. Sometimes it's just a seller that's reselling a item they bought to flip and sometimes it's a person that use to own/play with the item and just want to make a couple of bucks. However, sometimes people sell it that low for parts. So just make sure the seller can confirm that the items work.

Shucks $190 is perfect for this type of inflation market. I've seen $200-$250 as the typical price for a used unit. Trust me, people will pay that price. My steering wheel has been working out great for Windows 10. There was only one time that Windows updates caused an problem but it's been great since.

I have 2 Logitech G27, both are used and were purchased through eBay. Nether wheel has any issues with the encoder. So I would say, if the steering wheel has been abused and has a lot of free-play then I would say yes to replace the encoder. And if you are not experiencing any issues then you should be fine. Hope this helps.
I actually got to try one at a mall when I was visiting relatives in Belarus, ever since then, I knew: I want that wheel. I'm getting a used one for 800₪ from a second-hand in Kiryat Motzkin, but I'm still short a little and I still haven't contacted the seller yet, if this gets some traction, I'll definitely update!
Good deal. I would still contact the seller to see if they are willing to work a deal because if they are serious, a couple dollars short won't hurt. Shucks for my wheel the seller wanted $300-$250 which I requested for a sale price of $200 and eventually got it since I had contacted the seller. So it never hurts to ask. Good luck.

Sounds like you may have some custom steering wheel settings in the Logitech Profiler or in game. I would reset all steering wheel settings and reinstall the Logitech software to see if this helps.
Honestly your best bet is to check a local Facebook Market for Logitech G27 wheels in your area. You can also try eBay but your looking at price between $150-$250 for the set. Those whom found the best deals are usually local purchases.
I could have sworn I responded to your comment but for some reason my comment disappeared. But the G27 & G29 is not that much of a difference besides the wheel button configuration. Mechanically, it's nothing that the eye can tell when it comes to force feedback comparison. However, I would always advice, if you can get a low deal for either wheel, go for it. It beats paying $300-400 many are paying at a store.
Many are auctions listing which you do have to pay for shipping based on the packaging of the wheel. This one is for the G29 without the shifter but is still do-able if you buy the shifter separately. www.ebay.com/itm/304057047493?epid=219480165&hash=item46cb3659c5:g:xzIAAOSw4Vxg49Sk www.ebay.com/itm/114871861466?hash=item1abee580da:g:zKoAAOSwqSBg25fx www.ebay.com/itm/373633346765?epid=0&hash=item56fe486ccd:g:XfAAAOSwoNhg3M6M

Sorry to hear but Patchy not every wheel will fit everyone like or need. But hopefully you found a better option.
I still believe the Logitech G27 is the best "STARTER" wheel on a budget.
@@AWordFromMrJones Nah i think i'm done with simracing. Driving in general felt like a chore rather than fun.
@@__matchawow! Sim racing is incredible. Regular gaming is like a chore but sim racing is the best feeling.
Ay bro Im getting one for 190(prolly due to quaratine inflation) wish me luck
dude still had protection plastic on it.
i know its a little too expensive for used but its the last one for sale in my shittown. i hope it ll work on my windows man, i heard lot of ppl been getting issues on w10
Shucks $190 is perfect for this type of inflation market. I've seen $200-$250 as the typical price for a used unit. Trust me, people will pay that price.
My steering wheel has been working out great for Windows 10. There was only one time that Windows updates caused an problem but it's been great since.
@@AWordFromMrJones hey thanks for making the video i got the wheel just now and it works even in my friends new pc on w11. i hope this wheel will last me a while!
being able to peel the plastic off a legendary g27 was a dream fulfilled! time for me to boot up assetto corsa and have some fun. thanks again
Hi may i ask, does the encoder breaks easily ? Should i buy as a spare now ? Does the gears inside will wear out ?
I have 2 Logitech G27, both are used and were purchased through eBay. Nether wheel has any issues with the encoder.
So I would say, if the steering wheel has been abused and has a lot of free-play then I would say yes to replace the encoder. And if you are not experiencing any issues then you should be fine.
Hope this helps.
I picked up a g29 with shifter and a gt omega stand for $220. You think it was worth it?
HECK YEAH! That's a STEAL! Congrats to you. I need to find deals like that lol.
@@AWordFromMrJones Dang you got me hyped up😂 best of luck to you!
@@impudence7050 Lol, thanks.
Good luck.
@@AWordFromMrJones Thanks! I just got in contact with the seller and wating for response from him. trying to lower from the inital 800₪ to 600₪ (~247US$ to ~185US$)
hey bro nice video,
according to my logitech software my wheel is turning only 180 degrees (90left and 90 right) even when i have set it to 900 degrees.
i tryed everything but nothing helps, my wheel himself is turning just fine all the way around but my software shows me only 180 degrees.
can you please help me out here .
best regards
Sounds like you may have some custom steering wheel settings in the Logitech Profiler or in game. I would reset all steering wheel settings and reinstall the Logitech software to see if this helps.
Does anyone know where I can get one for a reasonable price
Honestly your best bet is to check a local Facebook Market for Logitech G27 wheels in your area.
You can also try eBay but your looking at price between $150-$250 for the set. Those whom found the best deals are usually local purchases.
Ok thanks for the info
$200 used for this or should i just get a g29?
I could have sworn I responded to your comment but for some reason my comment disappeared. But the G27 & G29 is not that much of a difference besides the wheel button configuration. Mechanically, it's nothing that the eye can tell when it comes to force feedback comparison. However, I would always advice, if you can get a low deal for either wheel, go for it. It beats paying $300-400 many are paying at a store.
i got the wheel today and ive ran into the wheel saying Unknown usb device (device descriptor Request Failed) and havent found a fix
Just noticed this comment. Where you able to fix your issue also what windows operating system are you running?
@@AWordFromMrJones Wasnt able to fix just sold it
Update your drivers!
Can I buy this from you?
Where can i buy it as ebay had a lot of shipping fees
I seen a couple of Logitech G27 on eBay but they are all for roughly $200.
Many are auctions listing which you do have to pay for shipping based on the packaging of the wheel.
This one is for the G29 without the shifter but is still do-able if you buy the shifter separately.

I'm looking at one the seller wants $300 Canadian .I think the price is to high $200 is more realistic.
That's a fact. Try to give the seller an lower offer and then find a medium price to settle on. Wish you the best.
I’ve seen these on sale from eBay and people still want stupid money for em
Where did u get the power adaptor from?
Hey,
I had bought my power adapter from eBay, link is here:
www.ebay.com/itm/232806832596
It worked perfectly fine.
Thanks
I wish if i can get one 💔
You will find one, trust me. Keep scouting eBay and Facebook for them. Once you find one, contact the seller and ask for half price off to see if they will accept or counter offer and then make the purchase.
I always do this process which tends to work in my favor if a seller is eager to sell that item.
BTW, what are you using now because you got some good handling on your drift video.
